Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Do 2.2 Graduates Smartly Omit Their Grades On Their Cvs by 18wheeler:
When the system places emphasis on certificates and not the product quality, who wants to be left out? Its disguise and it works for many, myself inclusive. When I float my company, soon, I'll be more interested in the applicant's quality rather than their certificate. There's a lot more to benefit from 2.2 and 3rd class grads than we think. #proudly 2.2 and am pulling strings.

Wallahi, that guy must be a "I don't keep friends" kinda guy. I got several sms like dis and finally called a close-to-yahoo-yahoo guy who confirmed what I already suspected. The strange tin was that I got such SMS each time I got a deposit. I immediately wrote a strong worded petition to the bank and d strangely, d SMS ceased immediately. The rest is for ur imagination.
They prey on the victim and work on his or her gullibility. Those who let out info always think they'll get something out of it. Sadly, they never.

DEBJOCH1:
Is so sad that you people over there in Enugu are still leaving in your 80s. You mean some one can still fall a prey to all these unschooled scammers? A scammer once called to scam me, i played along with him and told him i needed a recharge card so as to facilitate what he wanted me to send to him, to my greatest surprise, he asked for my preferred network i told him, in less that 10 minutes, he forwarded the recharge to me, I toped up my phone, and guess what? That was the end of that scamming sms till date. Mind you, no Nigeria bank will EVER call their customer to ask for their account number or atm pin, if you see any such, the caller must be a scammer. No bank will ever call you to ask for your account details, when ever you get such calls, always make sure you delete them from your mind. More so, be mindful on how you expose your ATM cards at home. I make use of internet banking, mobile money... I don't use ATM Card, I only go to request for ATM card whenever i k ow i have 1 or 2 weeks to embark on a journey, and when ever i come back from the journey, i will go and block it. I can be carefree at time. The highest charge the bank will charge for the card is 1k, i no fit shout, better the 1k charges than living to tell the story that touches.
Smart you. Better safe than sorry.
CrimeRe: Beware Of Atm Fraudsters!!! by 18wheeler: 7:45pm On Apr 26, 2016
Sorry for your loss Op. But truth is, no bank will ever call you to ask for your card or other details. Banks do not use normal GSM numbers except its your account officer who will introduce himself properly before discussion and if you aren't comfortable you decline the call. I know for sure that on most ATMs the default screen shows information that the bank will never ask of your card or other details. Same information is contained on web pages if you launch for online transactions.Unfortunately, many customers do not read them. In this age of electronic banking one has to be extremely protective of personal information because a little slip could result in huge losses. Another thing is the way customers print reciepts on ATMs and abandon them there. Its a source of basic information on your account for tech savvy fraudsters. Please guard your account information jealously.

new issues keep Springing up. The man is getting way more than he envisaged. But let the prosecution arrange themselves well else, he'll just wriggle his way out. Our laws are so porous that the culprit can even establish a strong case amidst his predicament that we see with our "ordinary eyes"

Ye shall know the truth.

Please for those of you who always develop passion for calling GEJ names please kindly know that it was not easy for GEJ. GEJ was the only 'complete civilian' that ever ruled Nigeria, from a minority, even in his state he is also from a minority. He has more experience in governance than any president we ever had (having served in state and federal level for years). He gave Nigeria his very best. No fuel queue, prompt payment of salary, created lots of jobs from the federal universities, sure p, youwin, Gis, converted our COE to federal, light was not this skeptic, travelled less, freedom of speech, no political murder or arrest etc.

The man is angel.

Every leader has its lapses. Buhari though has good intention for Nigeria, he also has his own challenges. Let's support them
I liked your post for the last three sentences. And I like you for that.

Then the election should be cancelled. If one who participated actively in the process is found to have compromised, then the whole process was compromised. And should be rerun again. But hey, we are in an environment where all things pass.

I was dressing my dad's bed in the morning (1994), a metal hanging out cut my leg just beside the knee. It was so deep I still carry the scar to date. It looks like a fire burn but is was a cut... a deep cut. I nursed the wound for over a month. Thank God it was long vacation then, it healed before I resumed school.

Are you really interested in the job? Its not a contract position. I cannot tell you anything pay now. You'll discuss that at the interview. I advise you read the thread from around June last year. You'll get so much I can't begin to narrate here. Just keep an open mind and you'll be fine. Goodluck.

In other news, buhari joins the islamic nations in other to counter the terrorist attacks in the north.

But I know that whatever plans they have in their minds towards nigeria, they will never succeed.

Amen.
Damboa to maiduguri road opened today since December 2013. It will ease movements to southern Borno. Whatever happens up there, we only need normalcy to return here and we'll thrive on our own. Govt has never been for us. If we make it, we make it on our own #hasslersweare

Which irish? We don't have irish parish priests in the east. In the west and south south it is possible.
Not the east. Its in the north. Met him last in 2006 and he had been there since I was in secondary school in 1994. I think he retired around 2010, am not sure. I only learnt of his retirement in 2014. Sure staying long in a parish happens but up here its rare.

My brother it can happen in certain cases. My current parish priest has been with us now for 22 years.
That's long. One I know is Irish that spent about that long. He's retired now and back to his country.
Christianity EtcRe: APC Kicks Over Mbaka's Transfers by 18wheeler: 6:41pm On Jan 31, 2016
My question is how he was able to spend 20 years in a single parish. Haven't heard of that before. No priest in my archdiocese that I know in the last 10 years that has not moved between parishes. His diocese should have known that after such long period any attempt at transferring him will result in the kind of victimization stories we hear, even if its not the real reason. They shouldn't have allowed him stay that long. at least move him somewhere for some time then return him. That's how I know its done in my Archdiocese.

BusinessRe: Access Bank Wants Me To Commit Suicide by 18wheeler: 3:33pm On Jan 19, 2016
There's a provision for operating KYC TIER -1 or tier- 2 accounts for customers who do not meet the full kyc requirement. Worst case is to ask that your account be operated as a tier 1 account with no requirement for ID or address verification. Maximum holding limit for this account type is 200 thousand naira with single transaction limit pegged at 20 thousand. You may also request that your account be modified to a tier-2 account with holding and transaction limits pegged at 500 and 50 thousand naira respectively
If your bank was truly updating KYC records in line with regulatory requirements, your account would have been downgraded to tier1 and your dad's transaction would have been returned to him with an advice on the status so you can maintain or upgrade upon presentation of required documents.
