the bible i read never said luke traced jesus' ancestors from the mother side. the bible never traced anyone's lineage from the mother side, i dont see why jesus' case would be an exception. you dull the development of this thread with your flimsy and baseless points. oyeludef: according to d bible u read? mr wise, did Jesus have any patriarchal gene mr ignoramus. luke felt d need to trace her root to prove dat Jesus actually came from d root of David as prophesied. common sense u don't have. |

you should have prepared well before starting the thread. oya where in the bible did yahweh command you to worship Jesus? KingEbukaNaija: Please understand me . Jesus is God . And whatever Yahweh commands , it applies to both Jesus and the Holy Spirit .

how dramatic that luke, fully acquainted with jesus' patriarchal geneology would rather give account of his matriarchal geneology in a period when patriarchal geneology was considered very important. now let me ask you, which other geneology was taken from the mother side in the bible? oyeludef you are stupid. you are stupid because all you could do is copy and paste people's opinion on this without giving your good-for-nothing head a try. oyeludef: i have taken my time to share popular commentaries here by ppl like Matthew Henry, scofield, gray etc so dat Mr knowledge can shove his pile of scraps into wherever he deems fit. Anyone who claims to be a Christian and still doubts d veracity of d bible is a disgrace to himself |

recently it struck me that virgin mary and elizabeth (mother of john the baptist) were relatives. the fact that both women gave birth to high profile spiritual men is far from sheer coincidence. who is mary? who is her Father? where is she from? |

HungerBAD: Good News from the East.
I am impressed. Africans?Nigerians? why are we like this? this move by the Peace Transport Management, should be commended by us, and not be viewed with disdain or suspicion. Sometimes i am puzzled, that even with our level of Education, we still ascribe to the age long belief of witchery, sorcery and blood sucking.
Accidents occur everyday. Even in developed Countries, where Companies have a good service history of their vehicles as required by Law, still have multiple accidents, let alone those without a maintenance culture in Nigeria.
hBack to Back, the Malaysian Airline lost hundreds of people. One has still not been recovered, and the other got shot down when it flew between the Ukraine and Russia troops(Ukraine Separatist is the official version) exchanging Mortar/Rocket Fire, so The owners of the Malaysian Airline suck Blood too?
We can go on. Air France/British Airways have lost Thousands of Passengers via Air Crash, Egypt Air and a host of others too. These guys are blood suckers or use the passengers Blood for Rituals too? Education is one thing,Enlightenment is another, a lot of people need to get enlightened.
Reminds me of a gist with a Benin friend of mine days ago, who kept boasting that Benin Juju is this and that, and so i asked him do you believe in Juju, he said yes. And then i asked him, if Benin Juju is so Powerful, how come the British tied your Oba with Ropes, and took him to Calabar where he died and no Juju Killed any British? he still has not answered.
We should have an open mind please. how do you know nothing happened to the brits, do you know what happene to their frelatives, do you know how they died? |

A brother I knew far back in 2008 powered a generetor set with biogas generated from dried spear grass. He was working in a renowned research institute in Nigeria, unfortunately, his effort was fraustrated in Nigeria, so he had to go to scotland for his MSc in renewable energy. Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Biblical To Say "Develop A Personal Relationship With God"? by 1b8m: 12:24pm On Jul 03, 2016 |
i keep saying it that God is not a sky daddy as most people imagine. God is in every one of us, in a secret place called heaven revealed only to those who live by the golden rule irrespective of their religion. religious turmoil will never cease until this divine truth is understood.
back to the argument, yes every one should have a personal relationship with his/her God. this is because God reveals himself to people by virtue of space and time. allowing your pastor/imam guide you is religion, allowing God guide you is spirituality |

as a prospecting chemical engineer in my undergraduate days, i carried out a research on alternative energy source in which i streamlined my work on the estimation of emission of biogas from waste dumpsites in portharcourt, and also its use as domestic fuel. i discoverred that the amount of methane emitted from just one dumpsite in a year can provide enough domestic fuel for every home in portharcourt for a quarter of a year, if properly harnessed. its been 2years i sent my findings to the appropriate ministries and am yet to be contacted |

you misunderstand me mr. my intention was not to promote any religion, am not even a religionist. i practice love. we all have something in common as individuals, whether muslim or christian, black or white:the natural instinct of not being attributed with bad, evil, pain, negativity etc. now the point is, the day man starts wishing his fellow what he wishes himself, and works toward it, that day we will all find peace. mmsen: Boko Haram also claim to be moved by the 'spirit'. We need to look inwards to solutions but there are no spirits or deities that will solve our problems for us. |
Christianity Etc › Re: When a government is becoming ungodly: should Christians continue to obey? by 1b8m: 10:37am On Jun 26, 2016 |
the problem with humans today is that we look outwards for solutions to our problems wherein the solutions lie within us—in a secret place. no government laws or policies will ever better the laws of the spirit, which is universal. Jesus was not bound by human laws yet he never broke any. why? he kept the laws of the spirit. |

Politics › Re: Picture Of Emeka Ojukwu As A Rugby Player In Epsom College by 1b8m: 10:15pm On Jun 20, 2016 |
salute the man or pave way for people to. ojukwu ekelemgi o merahki: Darling....it has nothing to do with riches When you leave these shores, and get an education which opens your eyes...most development and political diplomas and degrees come to mind...plus the access you have to the internet and maaaany libraries and scholarly articles.....it becomes near impossible for you not to condemn neo-colonialist policies....or stay back in Nigeria, and use the internet and read beyond and above what our schools say
When you come back to Africa and see Nigeria....you become utterly convinced and rightfully so, that the colonial construct that is Nigeria is an insult to our blood and human dignity. You start clamouring for the right thing This happened to me....my eyes were opened to how Nigeria is wrong...(I have always been totally apolitical, and prided myself (foolishly I see now on how little I knew about Nigerian politics..etc)
Ojukwu is my hero, not taking away from his greatness....but just telling you that even a six month diploma cause would open every eye on the wrongness of Nigeria and some policies as they affect Africa Mugabe got all those degrees and expoded into many defiant, mad pieces I get it...me too, my friends too, and our fathers were and are not rich
Our politicians are decidedly not educated beyond what we got in uni (which is a story for another day, the quality of our education, which some people deliberately left to be substandard and leaves our brains unchallenged)
This post has nothing to do with oil, PDP, APC, APGA ((which I would support if I must choose one), IPOB, MASSOB, etc It is just the voice of someone who saw the light, and was shocked out of her political "bimboism" Send these political looters to get true education,...they would come back, stop stealing, invest most or all of what they stole into good ventures, they would stop being silly about foreign religions and most of all, will lead the clamour for Nigeria to be divided
It is a travesty, really, the Nigerian existence However I love Nigerians, and when we become divided, we would still be united as children of the black world...which is how we are seen by God...so as they say, nothing spoil
(I have a feeling I didnt read well before quoting you, have rambled and preached like I tend to do, have derailed the topic big time, have typed something soo crazy long that I should be slapped ) But I am too scared to cross check so I am hitting the submit button now.... ....so forgive me ..even as I stand by all I have typed...100percent)
A country where some people revere the name Ojukwu, and some ?denigrate it has NO business being one ..where some people hail Awolowo as a hero, and some see him as a soulless being totally has no business being one...... (I am keeping it civil and light, let me not go into some speeches that led to killings peri-independence) Not laying blame...but our fundamental idealogies veer off at different tangents from each other....too diverging, with little or no forces of cohesion....in other, better words....different people, different systems, different beliefs, different pains, different everything
We have NO business being one country, with all due love for the people I wish I could write as good as that Freeze001 and some people here eg cap78, dearpreye who blow my mind with their intelligence...I would be able to say it all well... |
