Reference: Better talk what you know and save lives. We must begin to develop a culture of propriety that diffrentiates man and beast. Don't mind those who feel the ignorant masses are fodder to feed on. Speak up. It is your duty. What more is there to say? The ex-finance director has said more than I ever could. I don't give a rat's arse what Jimoh thinks, I don't even know him as I was away before he acquired the airline. It is left for people to decide for themselves. |
All the info she used to convince him from the beginning are stuff he probably has on his CV. It looks like the girl got your brother's info from his CV which he may have been sending out indiscriminately on his job search. It's why we advise job seekers to exercise good judgement before sending CVs to unknown places. Your personal info is precious to you and should not be sent to places you don't know. |
ALLSTATE CONSULT are a bunch of scammers. Don't waste your time/resources. |
If you don't keep your house in order, don't expect visitors to treat it any better. |
niddamugu: Nnorom - a DISMISSED staff, you - an EX-STAFF - I expect both of you to think and talk alike probably from a disgruntled mind. If you are calling for safety please do so without bias. DON'T raise alarm just for the sake of it. After all, several flights have taken off and landed in our airports after the DANA air crash and these planes carried human beings, not animals. With a username like yours I'm not surprised. I expected some pessimist(s) to find something to criticize about my earlier post as is usual. See, the thing about looking for holes in what others say is that you are likely to end up displaying your ignorance in the process. Borrowing from your post - DON'T criticize just for the sake of it. |
I once worked there and have friends who still do. From what I know/hear I choose to believe John Nnorom. |
otokx: My problem with the petition is that the guy is going in all directions; at least 1 new plane we are told was acquired recently by Air Nigeria. Lets try and keep things simple and straight in our accusations. That new plane was acquired when it was still Virgin Nigeria, before Jimoh acquired the company |
Idiotic Governor who did nothing but talked to the MD on the phone, hey Mr Governor, the right thing to do was to have warned the appropriate authorities, not the company. What was this brainless governor trying to achieve by saying this? He obviously doesnt know that he is exposing his incompetence as a leader or else he would have kept quiet instead of trying to appear righteous by saying 'I told them!'. Don't understand how we ended up with so many inept individuals in positions of power. |
DreaShola: I got a text yesterday night asking me to come to this address for aptitude test but when I called d number they said they r not a recruitment agency but an organization named health links What should I do Should I still goAfter all you have read here you're still considering going ![]() |
Moderators will rather err on the side of caution than propagate misleading/false/potentially fraudulent information. Money making schemes clearly do not belong to the Jobs/Vacancies section and obvious scams shall not be promoted. |
Someone is advertising a minimum of 500K email addresses for sale(!), and someone else is advising you to exercise good judgement before sending your CV/email details to unknown places - how lucid can it get? |
Guitarlife: technically yes, Cos all you are doing now is taking a shortcut. I bet you don't even know how chords are formed ,you just want to be able to play song's it can only take you so far cos when you get to the real use of saxophone which is to improvise you will be totally lost. Thanks for the encouragement! |
Odds? Hmm... |
Guitarlife: I understand you too well. Your problem is generic. How? If you wanna make an headway in music and enjoy the rest of your music life(which is the rest of your life by the way), 'DO NOT START MUSIC WITH SOLO iNSTRUMENT'. So many casaulties of this mistake it leads to frustration and in extreme cases depression. So in short I just dey waste my time since or what? |
Thanks Folu. We keep saying here that job seekers need to apply good judgement before sending their information to unknown recipients. In my view, its not difficult to spot these scams, many are quite obvious. A lot of advise is shared in these posts below: Forum guidelines Curb the scammers |
Dear Jobseeker, The following are valuable tips for the best use of the Jobs section: • DO NOT send your personal info/email address CV if you are not sure of where you are sending it to, some people just need your details for selfish reasons • If an offer reads too good to be true, it is! i.e success has no short cuts • Be suspicious if a job advert provides little information e.g no physical address, no job description but provides personal contact details e.g personal email address, GSM number - no serious company accepts applications via SMS! • If a job post sounds like they are trying to help you, ask if they have helped their family first • If you need more information ask questions straightaway, you will learn more that way • Thus in general, 'shine ya eye' Best wishes and good luck! ![]() |
What you see in the jobs section is a reflection of the state of the country with millions unemployed. Unfortunately the anti-spam robot on NL is unable to 'catch' all fraudulent posts and the moderators are there to remove/minimize these scam posts. Overall, these days job seekers also need to be more discerning with sending out applications. Many of these vacancies are suspicious already and even some are obvious scams. It's the reality of the situation we are in. Some seekers are also fooled by the idea of 'hammering' that the scammers promote to them and do not exercise good judgement. NL shall continue to promote real job vacancies and remove suspicious scam posts, but job candidates also need to increase their awareness of these dubious elements and their tricks. |
In Nigeria of nowadays I think it is better to start doing something and still keep both eyes open for other things. He will meet people and also learn one or two new things which are positives. There is the possibility that a better opportunity may open up from there. It shall also help him reduce the gap in his CV for subsequent job applications. If the pay covers his transportation and feeding why not? As a Public Administrator what kind of work is he looking for? Consider that not many people in Nigeria these days have the privilege of working in their specific fields of study. |
Jobseekers, the post above is an example of the reason why you should refrain from responding indiscriminately to just any job advert without thinking carefully. I see some users just posting their email address here hoping for a miracle that will never happen meanwhile, the crooks are smiling to the bank selling your info. DO NOT send your CV to anywhere you do not know oh! |
I was trying to learn to play the sax but my motivation has waned lately. Was trying to learn by self but it looks like I could use some guidance. It would be nice to have a partner with whom I could learn and raise my motivation. Anyone got tips or helpful learning material? Guitarlife? Femility? |
So now, creating a national identity database is the job of the Central Bank? |
otokx: Its a blessing in disguise for themMore like a blessing in disguise for Chelsea, make our man come rest abeg he had a arduous season. |
700 bombs were similarly intercepted in Abuja many months ago which we heard nothing of afterwards - no arrests, prosecution. Even this, who knows what shall become of the arms at the end of the day? Anyone rich/powerful enough to move a trailer load of arms is most probably rich/powerful enough to protect his interests, whatever they are. |
THAT in the picture is not even a ship, talk less of a war ship ![]() |
Goofblock Joe-na-dunce has done it again ![]() Amazing he ACTUALLY has a followership. . . oh I forgot, he's flowing with petrodollars so any blind bat/hungry jack will hail his idiocy. |
You're welcome, good luck ![]() |
^ Oh, well, please go ahead and explain to us how you have been may quoted out of context. We would really like to read your clarification. |
