Jobs/VacanciesMoney Making Schemes Prohibited In This Jobs Section by 1forall(op):
Dear Vacancy Posters,

This is a notice of zero-tolerance for money making schemes, online businesses, referral programs and all the like here in the Jobs section. If you must post such, look for the appropriate section to do so, or even better, do not post them on Nairaland.

We do not believe in 'getting rich quick' or 'very easy ways to make money' and shall not encourage it here. Therefore we shall no longer give the benefit of doubt to such topics and they shall be promptly removed.

We however shall continue to support and highlight genuine vacancy posts and adverts in accordance with the forum/section rules.

Thank you wink
Jobs/VacanciesRe: An Extraodinary Job Offer To Manage A 100acre Oil Palm Estate by 1forall:
PalmTree: I'm sure that you are probably wondering why I have said all these despite reading your OP, anyways I'm of the opinion that the condition of the outfit should not be disclosed until when you av shortlisted the most suitable candidates. Then you can test their overall ability by asking them how they intend to run the outfit considering its present state. Lastly your father is right you gotta conquer your carreer man!
Once again, I'm sorry for my previous assumption.
I do not subscribe to the idea of keeping employment details secret (as in bold above). It is a poor HR practice because potential employees are better off knowing what they are applying to - it helps in the preparation of an appropriate application. Also providing such information helps reduce the number of unqualified applications the employer has to deal with e.g in this case, candidates who are not interested in working on a farm in CR state will know ahead and not bother to apply.

It's the horrible state of our labor market (high unemployment) that has encouraged such negative practice to become the norm. One result of this is the creation of an 'unemployment industry' where people now publicize spurious job vacancies with little information with the intention to scam unsuspecting candidates.

The original poster's approach is therefore ideal and is the approach encouraged here on NL.

bigcycs: Please inform us here when you have filled your vacancy, thanks.

Car TalkRe: Why Do Lagos Motorists Drive With Headlamps On In Broad-day Light!! by 1forall:
And of course in a country like ours with the inept government, nothing is done by way of regulation over such cars in consideration of our own weather conditions. Hence now anyone can turn on their headlamps (halogens, xenons and whatever) and dazzle others in broad daylight! So much so it's now like a status symbol!

Oh boy!!

National SIM registration? The whole thing was failed from conception. It was just another scheme to embezzle money which was easily justifiable when kidnapping cases were all over the news some time ago.

PoliticsRe: Britain May Bar Corrupt Politicians’ Children From British Schools by 1forall: 9:11pm On May 10, 2012
Please its called "lip service" The British Governement are one governement that says A to those who wants to hear A!
I agree with that perspective.

I don't believe the banks had no reason to suspect something fishy all along those years that Ibori was moving massive money back and forth because it's VERY unusual to possess such massive sums in cash in the UK. And saying “there’s a prestige about being able to bring your assets and your wealth into the UK” is a bold demonstration of ignorance and conceit kmt.

They're just hypocrites ..what else do we expect them to say. UK banks are not going to say no to customer funds, neither are schools going to turn away prospective students because of these random, media friendly statements.

Hmm it appears things have taken a turn for the worse then. . .

Make my neck no break as I dey SMH for my country, na so so BAD BAD stories EVERYDAY!!!!
EducationRe: Name And Shame: Nigerian University Hostels by 1forall: 2:30am On May 10, 2012
Went to OAU and disagree with the folk describing Awo and Faj hostel rooms as meant for 6. Because there are 3 double bunks in the rooms does not mean they were planned for 6.
Those rooms were designed for 2 people which is why they have just 2 wardrobes and 2 reading tables, the authorities just squeezed in the extra beds. That initial configuration is however maintained on some floors in select blocks and allocated to medical students hence the name 'medical floor' for those who remember.

NLers at it again exchanging abuse and derailing the topic.

The chunk of the blame should go to the TV station that fails to recognize that their broadcast reaches millions of subscribed viewers and the content therefore should be of high quality.
Unfortunately the guy's level of spoken English falls below the standard you'd expect from cable TV broadcast - it is quite plain to see, but here we find many virtually celebrating poor communication skills on embarrassing display on Supersport TV!
