Jobs/VacanciesRe: Graduates Fail Primary School Questions At Job Test by 1forall:
yommy2sure: i do wonder too, kpmg conducted a test sometimes ago and only 3 out of about 30 passed. But still thats no basis for generalization...the set is a universal one and only a subset was tested.
So what is research? How do you find out about a whole if not by examining a part of it? Thats two separate cases of a high failure rate, and still no basis for generalization? huh
Do you even need this kind of reports before you know Naija's educational system is now a complete mess?

PoliticsRe: 30% Equity Of NNPC To Be Sold To Nigerians by 1forall: 8:55pm On Jul 20, 2012
NNPC has never been run as a profit making organization. Was it not declared insolvent and indebted in billions of dollars last year by a finance minister? I can't put my 1 kobo there lailai.

nnpc-gone-bankrupt

Plus, how can it be a wise decision to invest in the flagship of corrupt Nigerian organizations?

See men don dey plan to buy NNPC shares grin At best the idea can only make the rich richer.

OP how about breaking down your skill needs into the required and desirable/preferable skill sets to widen your catchment?

Supply details abeg - organization, location, address, job description... any relevant information, or how will potential candidates differentiate your advert from the fakes?
TravelRe: Lagos Traffic Fines For Offenders by 1forall: 11:18am On Jul 17, 2012
Misfit lawmakers, how about drink driving? As there's no law against it does that imply it is lawful?

Failure to give way at a roundabout = 20k fine is ridiculous, like many of the thoughtless other traffic laws. So who's going to enforce this law? The same corrupt LASTMA/Police? How would they prove I failed to give way at a roundabout after I may have done so?

Smoking while driving is now a crime in Lagos state, like seriously??

I expected smarter from the LASG but this is so disappointing.

This has always been a no-brainer, we knew and said this would happen back when they were proposing the measures, they should explain what went wrong with their projections for the aftermath of their 'reduce net immigration' campaign. Didn't they foresee this? Lol cheesy

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Executive Management Support Urgently Needed by 1forall:
Great! Thanks for clarifying.

The forum tries to filter phony job ads which are prevalent unfortunately, it creates a potential for the odd case of false positives.

Encouragingly you admit to respecting other opinions which is admirable. Thus I think the L&B website possesses some room for enhancement for example, your physical address would actually look better on there.

Good luck with your search.

PoliticsRe: Dear Nigerian Youths, How Can You Actually 'Help' Nigeria!? by 1forall: 2:40pm On Jul 01, 2012
"Nigerian activists and intellectuals need to start thinking extremely seriously about the option of public pedagogy [teaching and instruction]. We have to look beyond formal institutions to instruct and educate our people. We have to take civics to the streets, to social media, to Molue buses, to paraga joints. We have to meet Nigerians where they are. This would involve painstaking planning and networking. It would require dedicated intellects willing to brainstorm and strategize.

Once we agree that public pedagogy is an option we need to consider very seriously, conceptualization and planning could follow. In the end, every citizen we gain who no longer identifies with his own oppressor, even if the oppressor is his ethnic kinsman - is one giant step for Nigeria. With public pedagogy and instruction, we can begin to undo the psychological injury that the oppressor has done to our Stockholm Syndromed compatriots and begin the process of taking Nigeria back one mind at a time."

PoliticsRe: Repairs On Third Mainland Bridge Postponed Indefinitely. by 1forall: 2:18pm On Jul 01, 2012
So the authority to close or not to close the bridge appears more important than its actual maintenance?

If these people had any real sense they would assume defined responsibilities and work together, not play politics with motorists' safety... KMT!

Nigeria's problems are too deeply rooted such that it's pointless trying to fix her problems in isolation.
What we need is a wholistic solution and that, my friends, requires a revolution.
Now before you assume that automatically means violence take a few seconds to check what the word means.

The revolution starts in the minds of you and me.
