RomanceRe: How To Toast White Girls In London? by 1forall: 12:45pm On Apr 27, 2007
Seeing its your first post I'll attempt to answer your question as straight-forward as possible
U don't chat up girls at bus-stops man, its gross! shocked where u think say u dey huh lucky theyre only snubbing you angry
U can chat 'em up from proper meeting places like work, eating places, bars and the like, and you'll need to work on your lines mate - those cheap lines you imported from Lagos def wont work where u are now
With your tacky username, my guess is they don't even understand wha youre saying, and I can almost bet its lame anyway. U may need to socialise more so you can understand the culture well enough first, its important u do else you'd just be wasting time making a fool of yourself cry

And why the desperation for white girls sef? Papers? sad

Communication is the key way out of most issues, talking to him as honestly as possible about it 'll be the 1st step on the way out of the predicament. Most of the advise here ultimately require that you communicate with him so get cracking babe.

CareerRe: What Should I Do Next In My Career? by 1forall(mod): 6:44pm On Apr 25, 2007
I think you should define where you want to be in the next couple of years then try and start working on getting the qualifications for it from now.

Do that by observing what qualifications are required for current vacancies that match what you want to do in the short run so you know what you need to possess to get there

All you mentioned are great but Project Management may be more relevant given what youre doing right now, but then you may be considering a career change so it depends. .

Spend time thinking about it, good luck!

RomanceRe: Guys: How Would You Feel If A Girl Toasts You? by 1forall: 4:25pm On Mar 23, 2007
Have experienced that a number of times. Such women tend to earn more of my respect cos they break the usual relationship barriers doing so. Good, if I like her too and had her on my radar, Ill spill my side of the story quickly and make it look like she never said nothing.

But if I dont got no feelings for her. . . well Ill still admire her self-confidence and would want to stay acquainted (tho thats almost impossible)

Generally I like the assertiveness and confidence it demonstrates in a girl when shes bold enough to express her feelings (subtly though), and from little experience I think such women find it easier to exhibit leadership qualities.
RomanceRe: 3 Guys Say I Am The One. What Do I Do? by 1forall: 4:09pm On Mar 23, 2007
topday, at every stage life throws all sorts of situations at us. Dont let this one bog u down, just close your eyes & think into the future and imagine the days that youll be married with kids and would have forgotten this issue youre facing right now. Then you shall have other issues confusing you like 'which school should your kid go?' or 'where should the family go vacationing next summer?' grin This shall definitely pass so don't give yourself to confusion.

Now no one can be perfect but of the three men you mentioned, the only relationship I believe is workable is with your NYSC squeeze. You loved him, still can, and he wants you back. Dont make the same mistake in https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-45504.0.html by marrying temi, you only called him to ease your desperation.

Mr USA is also a bad idea except you have at least another year to for courtship in order to know him better, and given the distance constraints and current circumstances, I doubt if both of you can afford the luxury of spending 1 full year around each other. I will never recommend marriage without courtship because its basic. . .I mean you need to know if he snores in his sleep cheesy

So for me, you have 2 options: your ex-boyfriend, or someone entirely different. The advantages you have with him are- you guys already know each other and have built a level of famliarity and rapport, you know some of his weaknesses (may not handle tough times well), he should appreciate you more now that youve been apart awhile (if he's a regular guy).
Dont blame him too much- you had a job and he hadnt all through your 2yr relationship - and he would have been feeling extremely inadequate, mis-percieved and frustrated; and remember, you broke it off. I'd suggest you gave him another 3-6 month try while you keep your eyes open.

Finally
i am 28, have a nice job and single, desperately wanting to marry soonest
Lose the desperation girl, don't let them hustle you o. Marriage is not a sign of 'arrival' at all, its just the genesis of another set of problems to solve. Making such an important decision under desperation only guarantees you'll make mistakes.

Forget your heart, its time to use your head.

Ndipe:
Not tasteful.
Methinks youre so right.

Sisimose preventing gift duplication is not the same as 'absolutely no gifts'

Yea bigsis I felt the same way.
So if someone was thinking to give them a car? and he reads on the wedding invitation "No gifts please, cash only. Thank you", do you think he'll give them the car's value in cash?

I have a feeling his fiance isnt totally in with the idea and I'm still curious about his reason for his decision though I hope to find out somehow.

Anyone come across a similar case?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Urgent: Standard Chartered Test! by 1forall: 10:30am On Mar 23, 2007
Its computer based and in 2 parts, numerical reasoning and verbal critical reasoning. The questions are not hard but the time is inadequate so your 3 focuses should be speed, speed and speed!
Good luck.

Just curious, when did you drop CV?

Hi all…got this in my email and thot to share:

Take a very hearty laugh at our 'learned' friends and their clients/witnesses in court! These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. It’s a Fact!
