Of course the next best thing after sliced bread is to blame Buhari. We having working refineries would not make so much impact on its price. People just think cause you have oil external price won't matter... We might as well line up with our Jerry cans and suck up all the oil. Even US the largest producer of oil and one with the largest reserve are feeling the heat of increased price of petrol, gas and diesel. Everyone is rationing to save cost... Guess what? They also have the most number of operational refineries in the world. So tell me, what aren't they having it cheap with all these factors?? |
When the president refused signing the electoral bill into law because of a few clauses he felt was a violation of the current constitution, we called him names and enemy of democracy saying why can't he sign the bill and ask for an amendment just like he does with the budget. It was sent back to him and he took his time yet again, left to him, he would have told them to take out that clause before he signed but what did we do? Called him names and some CSOs took him to court. After a while, with the assurance that the clause will be looked at for amendments after signing, he passed it into law. Now, we're still abusing the president for writing to the senate to amend and even more, the senate president and the senate for doing his job in making laws. Imagine Ekwwremadu standing up to talk like he's not a member of the senate, or he doesn't undertsand separtion of powers, yet he'll be the first to stand up and threaten to VETO the president if he doesn't sign the electoral bill into law. In the end, Nigerians are wayward and lawless, we only shout injustice and cry foul when it doesn't favour us. When it is in our favour, we demonise the truth so as to justify insanity! |
Trentee4eva:The question is l the US now evade Mexico?? It would rather pile up sanctions against Mexico.. But to evade a country because you don't want it to have ties with another country is pure madness and should be condemned. It's amazing how some of you praise Putin and turn around to condemn Buhari. |
So because they can build such bridges mean they must build it in every location they have a contact for? Without considering use case, and if such bridge even fits in the area or solves the problem it was created for in the first place. Not everything is comparison. |
One reason why a case drags is the presecuiton trying to prove the case guilt on the defendant part. In this case they pleaded guilty, thereby saving the court valuable time in listening to both arguments. cosmatika: |
As long as your husband applies for his dependant visa before your student visa expires, you're fine. He will NOT be able to apply as a dependant under your POST GRADUATE WORK VISA if he is not your dependant under your STUDENT VISA. Bussysmith: |
It's sad that many of us who say Kemi Olunoyo should be beaten, she's mad etc... have now shown to even be worse than the Buhari many more even detest. You call for the government to respect human right, freedom of speech, but here you are attacking your fellow NIgerian for expressing her freedom of speech. Mind you, she's neither an authority nor a party to the case, but here you are making her opinion even outweigh the case itself. Hypocrisy at it's finest. The law isn't emotional, nor is it sentimental. No one has the right to choose when the law applies and when it doesn't. |
OssyMalik:Every country in the world is crying about the sharp increase in the price of gas. The main issue affecting Nigerians with the increase is cause we use it mainly to cook. Now with many industries switching to gas as their power source, it will definitely affect price of goods. Its simple economics, law of demand and supply. Globally people feel the increase even more as they need gas, for example, to heat their homes during this cold period in addition to cooking. The only thing the FG can do is subsidise the gas, other than that the truth is the FG can do nothing about it. Unless they want to lie to you just to keep your temper down for the time being until gas prices begin to decline. |
Apologies for my late response, sure please go ahead. Excessgrace1: |
Yes please. And under comments explain what you did, including CDS activities just to buttress the point that it wasn't a military service. solalal36: |
I believe your kids are exempted from taking a predeparture test since they are below 10. timojerry:

Good evening. Honestly speaking you DON'T need an agent to help you with UKVI application, unless you have excess cash and don't have the time to make the application (this puts you in a very precarious situation cause a stranger just presented you to UKVI as best as he can, given the information received from you. This might come with consequences which only you will have to deal with.... YOUR AGENT CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT HASTENING NOR BYPASSING THE PROCESS TO MAKE YOUR VISA APPLICATION SUCCESSFUL. That been said, I think your agent doesn't just know what he's doing or he didn't pass his information to you clearly. The amount required to show Proof of Funds is on page1 of this thread. I'll summerize. 1. Bal. Of 1 year school fees (after paying tuition deposit) - This varies from school to school 2. Maintenance requirements: a. £1,334 monthly (for up to 9 months) for within London. This means that you need to show £1,334 * 9 = £12,006 for your maintenance. b. £1,023 monthly (for up to 9 months) for outside London. This means that you need to show £1,023*9= £9,207 for your maintenance. 3. Spouses and Children (Dependants): Maintenance evidence: Bank statement showing a. £845 monthly * 9 months = £7605 for within London b. £680 monthly * 9 months = £6,120 for outside London. This must be in the account for at least 28 days; the end of the 28 days must not be older than 31 days before your application. So assuming you're going to school inside London, and your fees is £15,000, rẹ going with your spouse and 2 kids. Your POF should show. 1. £15,000 (assuming you haven't paid a single dime for deposit) 2. £12,006 (main applicant maintenance) 3 £7,605 (per depandant) = £7,605 × 3 =22,815 Total POF = £49,821 Use oanda for today ( oanda.com/currency/converter/ ) to convert to naira = N 28,231,500 ( a mark up to 29,500,000 to cover for Naira wild instability) This is just an example, you can use this understand how to calculate what you actually need. Cheers! promzy555: |
This isn't entirely true. In fact, if you don't apply together, you're more likely to get the "non-straight forward" email. If you have your full funds without comma, you're better off applying together. I'll advice you apply together with your dependants, I did that and got all three visas out at the same time, no "not straightforward email", no delay, visas all came out in 5 days (priority). If what you submitted doesn't add up or there seem to be some loop holes in your application or if it's compared to your dependants, you're more likely to get a "not straightforward email". If your dependants apply later and this same discrepancies are noticed in their application, they'll still get the "not straightforward email". Simply put, just make sure your application is truthful and it adds up well. lobsa: |
... But if you actually did pay attention to the report, you'll hear and see that the traffic light system is being scrapped totally. It's going to be replaced by a "red list" and "the rest of the world list" Nigeria isn't in a threatening position of joining the Red list. The previous amber and green list will make up the "rest of the world" list. Don't forget 6 countries just left the red list including Kenya in Africa. Josh121: |
Thank God for a successful visa application. Biometric 6th Sept (main applicant + 2 Dependant) - Priority - Walk-in Ikeja TLS Collection Mail Sept 13 for all 3 Picked up all three on 14th sept Honestly, if you fill your form as truthfuy as you can, you most likely will not have any issue, it's when things don't add up on your application or across your dependants application that UKVI begins to probe further. Also, have your money, you might not have all the money, BUT ensure you OWN a tangible percentage of the money in your account or get a loan (proper loan, not the untouchable loan to just show PoF, I'm talking of loan that you can utilise while in the UK) . Thanks for all the help on this platform. @Justwise God bless you. |
For the child to fill? So my 2years old child sef will fill form? If the child isn't the one filling the infos please just stick to "I am the parent of the child..." option. Enraf: |
He can't use this. It's not the child making the application. Straightforward is better, I am the parent of the child.... So they know the child's parent is the one doing the application. They don't expect an 8 y/o to fill an application form successfully by him/her self. Enraf: |
Please calculate the POF needed, I don't think he's in default at all. naijatisumi: |
Family application being flagged? I believe that's if the funds are not complete. We've seen many families here who got their visas without a single hiccup. Like you said, it's best you have all the funds and apply together. vivvica: |
Maybe I'm not seeing the mail well, I believe they wrote required funds as £12,240 and available funds (after deducting £9,207 for the main applicant's maintenance) as £14,747 or so. Please how is this insufficient? vivvica: |
UKVI might have made a mistake here cause I don't see how £14k is less than £12k. I just think you should have applied together with the family since you already have the full funds for the whole family. I think UKVI is already suspicious of using the same account statement for different applications it raises a flag. Please family applications HAVE YOUR MONEY, I repeat, HAVE YOUR MONEY, make the applications together, move together. It's easier, less problematic and less susceptible to it being flagged as SUSPICIOUS. This issue is almost becoming frequent and UKVI is sure to notice it too. Please go ahead and do your AR, I think you have a good case, like I said in the beginning, I don't see how £14k is less than £12k. vvansalam: |
If you filled the ihs correctly and it says your IHS fee is £470 then be rest assured it is £470. I might suggest the reason to be that you're in the medical line as there seem to be a reduced and sometimes, no IHS fee for medical practitioners. I might be wrong, but I believe this is the reason. Ouch! Seems BA is in the business of loosing people's baggage... This is the 3rd baggage report I have seen this week. I belief fee you can use this link to report and track https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/information/baggage-essentials/lost-and-damaged-baggage/reporting-baggage-problems Also, please if you may help with this info? Were you fully vaccinated in Nigeria before leaving? If yes, what was the procedure for arrival with regards to day 2, day 8 and quarantining? If you were not vaccinated in Nigeria, please do you have any info on fully vaccinated travellers from Nigeria? Thank you. letty05: |
Use OANDA https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/ Ensure you pay attention to the "currency I have" and "currency I want" and enter the appropriate amount in the correct side. Also please add some percentage for currency fluctuations (4% recommended) as Naira is highly volatile and even a 1 Naira drop below the required funds is straight up flag. jaybel: |
They use OANADA exchange rate for the day in question. It's usually safer to use an exchange rate that's about 4% higher than the OANDA exchange rate, this is to help you (most likely) ensure that the money in your account will be sufficient when it's been considered. E.g if Naira to Pounds exchange rate is 580, you convert your own Naira with an exchange rate of about 603 (1.04*580) so that come what may, your POF does not at anytime seem to have dropped below the required funds. Cause if the CO calculates the rate and sees that it dropped below the required funds at anytime (even if you didn't withdraw a single kobo) between the 28days, your 28 days strip is automatically broken. Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. If it won't be a bother, please, do you know what the process was for those FULLY VACCINATED? Did they also ask for their day 2 and 8 kit booking? Thanks again. Angellaw: |
Awesome! Congratulations! I can only imagine the apprehension through out the visa and travel journey! Please were you fully vaccinated before leaving and if you were, were you asked for the day 2 and day 8 tests and asked to quarantine? Thanks. Angellaw: |
It seems you filed that your dependants are coming along with you while filling your visa form. But in the POF you only provided one that (I presume) covers just you (as you stated that your dependants' POF isn't ready). You could have just waited for their POF to be ready and make an application for everyone at once, since they're not planning to join you in the UK much later. Dammyope126: |
Yes sir, Vaccination must have been completed at least 14 days prior to day of boarding Vecharry: |
Not fully true... This is a section that concerns UK, EU and US. See bro, simply put, you have your full approved vaccination, you can enter the UK after you have done pre-boarding covid-19 test, and also you need a day - 2 test alone, no quarantine, no day 8 test needed. And as you can see from one of my images attached, they recognise the Nigeria National Primary Health Care Card. I attached some screenshots, even the UK govt tells their own citizen to get vaccinated (with any of the 4 approved Vaccines) where they live abroad and they can come back to do just day 2 testing. The UK govt generally lifted entry restrictions for fully vaccinated travellers on July 19. Oggg:
|
Uk vaccination program (local or overseas) is just a section under being fully vaccinated. Keep reading till you get to "what the UK govt. Considers as fully vaccinated" that is the part that concerns us, and not the UK vaccination program. Oggg: |
