President GEJ is not working for, or favouring the SE (Nd'Igbo). He is a thoroughlygoing detribalized leader. He's working for all and in all geopolitical zones of the country. Why is it that those in SW (and indeed other geo-political zones) are not even testifying to the truth of what is happening in that region? What has happened to the politics of Lagos-Ibadan highway and others? Why would the FG work in Lagos and the glory will be pushed to Gov. Fash?

For whatever is the true shade of the story, or its comparisms I have only one single disturbance abt SR: why is it that their reports are only a PULL HIM DOWN overture against the govt in power?
I maintain that am not a govt spokesman bt just a fellow compatriot.

Fellow compatriots, if it costs just 10% counterpart funding and it does not maount anything to us why then did it cost 10 whole yrs for this to comeby?! I feel the problem and the intentions of those who corrosively criticize the president is simple: they just wonna pull him down. It doesnt matter to them all the good the man (may) do(es). If he does a single good thing they still tan it just to make it look mutilated and undesirable. But one thing I like about the guy is his calmness, resilience, tenacity, strongwill, patience in delayed gratification, forgiveness (obviously he's not revengeful), and his not a talkative (he's not a media president even though he has good command of English).
Am not holding fort for him. Am not looking up to him for any personal favours- i feel am even too far from his notice. Am only saying my own view.
Our youths must try to have an independent mind to analyze issues so that other people dont use them to further their hideous, heinious, hellish aims.
Maybe time will tell more of GEJ's success or failure.

I have listened very raptly to Jorge Cardinal Mario Bergoglio in his few public appearances eversince he became Bishop of Rome and Successor to St Peter and adopted Francis 1 as his Holy See. I have also listened and read about his life before this time and I have become (almost ) doubly convinced in myself that he may pursue the following marks:
>Ecumenism; He'd most likely pursue the full return of Protestant Christians back into the Catholic Church (maybe at least in principle) so that christians may begin to speak with one voice and take one stance in issues that concern them. Christian leaders may or not accept total surrender to the Vatican but they'd most probably draw much closer than even the times of Blsd John Paul 11. This will greatly fulfill the prayer and prophesy of Christ in Jn 17
>Religious Harmony; Also he might win the confidence of other world religious leader esp Islam thereby generally advancing global peace and security and stability. Pope emeritus Benedict XIV didnt seem to to so well here. Muslim leaders in Arab nations severed every communication with the Vatican under his reign due to his "hardline stance."
>Family; He had served in the previous papal dispensation in the community on family. During his time he disagreed with priest who refused to baptise infants of single parents. He also had a lower disagreement against the use of condoms by married couples saying that it might be necessary at least for the prevention of diseases. So under him, the church's stance against the use of contraceptives by MARRIED couples may witness a slight shift.
>Poverty; It's obvious that he's a man with a different heart for the poor and less priviledged. He has lived this out. No wonder he took Francis, a credit to Francis of Asisi born in a wealthy home had all the means but chose poverty and eke for the sake of others. I see the church increasing humanitarian assistance to troubled areas of the world--warriden places like Syria, Egypt etc. This charity might likely appeal to its recipients and hence attract them to christianity. The same magic Mother Teresa made in India.
>Finance; The church has come under great storm of financial inpropriety lately. This very likely will not go on under his eyes esp if that he might need the monies for plenty of charity.
>Sex Abuse; It's not too clear yet whether he might listen to some calls to allow priest option of marriage but it's almost very clear that he might take cases of priests' sex scandals very seriously like his "Oga at the top"(lol).

It seems to be ...what OBJ did for the Yoruba people. And not what he did for the Nigerian people. That's extreme tribalization and nepotism!

Am not too sure he ever served as an LGA council chairman, or Senator, or Gov! He served as Nigerian president and couldnt have pottaged Nigeria into the palms of the Yorubas.
I spent my 2012 xmas hols in SW, Lagos and Ogun, so I decided to visit Ottah and I was marvelled at the degree of worship the Yoruba locales there worshipped baba Iyabo (as they called him) and am wondering if with Yoruba are saying here maybe all that was cosmetic sycophancy. Then it's to the premium degree.
Again, I'd urge my Yoruba brovs on this NL to be less abusive in disagreeing with other people. To the Igbo to be less venomic in their distaste and to the Hausa/Fulani to be less virulent and violent in threats. God bless Nigeria.

Every thread I read on NL that has any ethnic string (even the tiniest) corrobrates every single thing Prof Albert Chinualumuogu Anichebem wrote in his book There Was a Country. Our colonial fathers and now our political leaders have known this truth even before you and I were born and they use it to remote how you and I analyse issues and take actions!
I fear so much that One Nigeria is a silhoutte. I want to urge contributors on NL biko, mbok, ejoo, pls,... Dont let this corossive hate for your fellow compatriot sterilise your heart and hence circumscribe your progress.
I am nw'afo (and happy and proud of it), born and raised in PH, live and work among Ndigbo (Ikwerre/Asa/Etche), Hausa, Yoruba, Ijaw, Efik, etc. I dont care where you come from or where you live, I mostly care {h}ow you live.

An Igboman is a Commissioner in Lagos State and has helped in making the economy of that state a signpost! He, they, (Northern Nigeria and Boko Haram and their sponsors and sympathizers) are fighting Southern Nigeria by injuring themselves. The laceration is now bleeding their economy and safety and security to anaemic levels.
What they call injustice is their "lose" of the 2011 election, and they are bent on making good their promise of making the country ungovernable to the man in power. Otherwise, why did it take this colossal dimension shortly after results declarations and up till now.
Those who ask for amnesty are just looking for a soft landing for their pride and arrogance. If granted it would mean that they won the State, they brought govt to its knee. It will also motivate others to pick arms against the govt on the smallest provocation
This call for amnesty shows that their power is whettling and they just want a white flag for the sake of their pride and arrogance.

Some1 has asked if 'Election' was the best way to 'Elect' God's Chosen Leader. My brov, the Cardinals dont actually ELECT, that's just the use of human language to convey the idea. You could see this even in the way u used the word, "Is election the best to way to elect..." So the process is not truly an election in the sense they teach in Pol Sci class.
To my frnd who is wondering where Caths get their doctrines from, although the Chr is Apostolic, it is important to note that it is also Organic-it developes.
People talk abt an African Pope, the chr does nt run itz leadership on quota system or fed character. Even if a Pope stays on the seat for a day befor death or resignation he must hav fulfilled his mandate as divinely prospected
For those who say this is the last Pope befor the anti-Christ, well, thatz never mine to decipher when Christ comes, bt i can only spk from Christ's promise and authority concerning the Seat of St Peter that "... The gates of hell shall not prevail against it." He went further to say " I shall be wt u til the end of time." I join in congratulating Catholics in Nig and the world over. 150yrs of its existence has brought innumerable spirito-social benefits to our society: The schs, hospitals, orphanages, prison apostolates, advocacy, skills empowerment and many more.
To my frnd who says Caths worship idols, ur opinions isnt all that corrosive only that u maybe judging frm a very far distance. We dont! And we wont! Cath dismantled most of the idols in our Land and it wasnt a little feat with the demons, before it found its root here.
To my frnd who said he was a Cath bt now he is a xtian. Am happy for u- bt hoping u're inferring that u're now more broadminded and ecumenical like me (like the moden Chr) and nt that u mean Caths are nt Xtians.
