Another example. I have been persuading her to take me go see her parents since January uptill April, which she refused cos according to her, a Pastor told her not to get married until she's able to travel abroad (She's a nurse).

Suddenly she calls me during the Easter and says she's ready to get married cos she just spoke with her parents and they gave her their blessings to get married before travelling abroad.

Initially she was adamant cos of what pastor said. Suddenly she wants to now listen to her parents, like someone who doesn't have a mind of her own.

I might make a topic on this! It's Nigerian men that are responsible for denting their image in SA and causing their own xenophobia. No Nigerian woman should have sympathy because they thought they could do better than us. We shouldn't pity them when they get attacked. We aren't in SA like them, Nigerian women there are usually married.

South African men and Nigerian women should not have any beef with each other and SAn men shouldn't have any issues with us because none of us sent them there to do what they do. So it's not fair for us to be catching strays. I live all the way in the UK and I'm feeling the heat.

The same way they mock and bash us is how they mock San men.

This is nowhere close to the truth, I cook better than most girls in my neighbourhood and I'm also a very techy and geeky guy. All my brothers and I are good cooks too as we learnt from a very young age, mama had no female child so we do virtually everything. We're both the boys and girls of the house so I say it's a matter of choice. Even through our influence a lot of girls here became tech-inclined too. You limit yourself to cooking only and that's your business, the modern world requires more than this from you girls.

A more appropriate statement would be there are several cultures that intentionally ,create boundaries to deter their "kind" from marrying people outside of the cultures.

The UK is a perfect example of 'multiple cultures co-existing at the time' and the white women still prefere men from their race.

SA women have and continue to experience a lot of the after effects of what apartheid did to their parents in terms of absent fathers who had to leave families to earn a living somewhere else, growing up with their grand mothers out of neglect from mothers who abandoned them, abusive and highly promiscious husbands and boyfriends and general trauma from relationships with men.

This is the primary reason they gravitate to "other" types of African men including Nigerians. This is most evident in college campuses where there is a healthy mix of foreign students.



I have seen SA ladies married to a myriad of types of Nigerian men from broke students without jobs, pastors, Chefs, Lawyers, doctors, businessmen, 419ers and yes all the way down to security guards so that premise does not hold any water. You are not in the community so you wouldn't know.



Those are Magoshas that is their occupation.



This narrative you are peddling is a popular SA one born out of hatred for Nigerians in general and not so much actual fact. THe ladies you are speaking of here are already broken down magosha, alcoholic location type girls who are already bruised and don't do a service to their repuation by hanging out with hustler type Nigerian boys.

Now if a SA man rejects a SA lady who was married or in a relation with a Nigerian Doctor of good means then something is either wrong with their self esteem or they are generally just the usual Nigerian hating SA man.
