Jesu de:

Comrade Dejsam & George D. Gdmorning,

i was able to combine the two satellites (Sirius and W3A ) together using one LNB and it work for me,  using the same Disecq port number, thanks so  much.

@George & others
Sirius 4 & W3A with one dish and lnb thread was a greatest experience ever for me, it is the fruit of our posts if NEPAD was like this, Africa should have moved forward anyway let's stop being selfish and keep on sharing FTA information, dear George i am really in need of Strong 4663x pvr, nothing is in the market yet here, how much does it cost there?(USD $)
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by emexi: 11:49am On Jul 08, 2009
Thank u for your response. These freq. I have tried, and only the 12575V/3378 works giving me the Manas. Notwithstanding, I will still go back to it with the never give up spirit of fta.Thanks a lot.
@ Goerge.
I appreciate your technical Know how man. The highest strength I ever got is about 65%. I thought of it as much, too small for a signal being beamed to us. I have skewed and re skewed. Nevertheless that I shall do again and all d green feathers of the bird shall come out. I'm sure there is just something Ive not done right. As for 90cm, make that one stay aside first.
As for the nilesat I promised to hint u, space in the yard has been hindering me. I need to erect a platform for the dish to keep it above any obstruction. no problem man.
Eyo eyo I CAN DO IT MYSELF!
Enjoy
@spaceman. remember to carry your tv box outside where the dish is installed so as your lnb your able to observe what your doing , you should be able to see the rise and fall of the green on your receiver . with time you will learn how to apply pressure or to push and move your dish side ways as to get the highest signal strenght . with time you become a master like pitodenz , george d and the rest of the gurus.[quote][/quote]

George_D:

@JMS,
No green from that tp. However there are multiple channels carrying the program live right now:
SABC 1 & Citizen tv @Intelsat 902/c, AIT @Intelsat 901/c, TVM mozambique @w3a, etc.
@George_D, this tp on Sirius 4 concerning MJ tribute event did work in the evening, Rugambwar posted that info on another African FTA forum: www.rdi-board.com/showthread/ and Kungu confirm that feed from Kenya(Nairaland forum is spreading all over Africa).

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by Jesude: 12:42pm On Jul 08, 2009
@comrade Blexxonm

my problem then, was how to make use of 5 LNB with my receiver  becos the disecq and using has only four port not five, with my 90cm dish and 1.8cm dish, 90cm dish for pas 7/10, and the rest 4 LNB are for Nilesat, Nss 7, W3A and Sirius 4,

With the help of Comrade Dejsam, George D and Adewest write up, i was made to understand that Sirius and W3A can use one LNB because there are in the same position just .5cm difference.

what i did was to remove the LNB for Sirius  4 and then re-adjust  W3A  a little becos W3A is slightly down than sirius which is up thereafter  i scan both, behold both of them bring green light, only that the level of the green is not as much as when standing alone.

Then in the desecq i used number one port  for pas 7/10,  and number 3  port for Nilesat  and number 4 port for NSS 7 and then select number 2 port for both Sirius and W3A.

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by loluskysat(m): 1:38pm On Jul 08, 2009
@ Jesu De,

You could safe yourself the stress by motorising your 1.8m dish. With that you can track all those sats and many more. You will get about 18 satellite positions depending on your location.

hi all

i finally found a way around the "no video" multi tv mpeg 4 signals on Astra 2B. i made use of a satellite

pci card (not a Tv Card) i bought a couple of years ago. i just connected the Rf from the lnb to the lnb

input on the pci card . I Then scanned for the channels using the satellite card's software. The channels

came up alright, but still no video. i then downloaded and installed an mpeg 4 codec and rescanned and

there BANG! both audio & video appeared. Now to watch the channels on my tv set i connected the S-Video

cable to pci card's S-video output, then connected it to the Tv's AV. i was home and dry. the channels appear on the

TV now.

Quite a long process but hey thats the spirit of F.T.A. Cheers !!!

first I want to say I've been satisfied with recent work - that is DECODING MULTI TV SIGNALS - using a PCI card last week - I will give you the run down later - gotta go back to work

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by sikadicius: 7:47pm On Jul 08, 2009
HI - OKAY LET ME EXPLAIN - WITH THE PCI CARD - IT IS CALLED LITEWAVE SATELLITE PCI CARD - BUT THE ORIGINAL NAME IS PHILLIPS HYBRID SILICON -DVB-S - WITH THE ORIGINAL SOFTWARE THAT IT CAME WITH IT RECOGNIZES DVB-S2 CHANNELS AS AUDIO OR RADIO - SAME AS PROGDVB - BUT I FOUND A NEW SOFTWARE CALLED DREAMDVB AND I INSTALLED IT - IT KINDA ALLOWS YOU TO USE THE CODECS THAT YOU INSTALL ON YOUR PC TO RUN WITH - IN MY CASE I INSTALLED KLITE CODEC 3.44 WHICH IS OLD - AND YOU KNOW DVB-S2{THOSE ARE HD CHANNELS IE DAARSAT AND MULTI TV} SO THE SOFTWARE NEEDED H.264/AVC CODEC TO OPEN THOSE CHANNELS - I SAID A BIG AMEN WHEN MY FIRST CHANNEL CALLED JOYTV POPPED UP - I HAVE TO UPGRADE TO KLITE LATEST VERSION -

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AND i WILL BE SOHAPPY TO SHARE IT WITH ANYBODY - GOTTA GO TO WORK - I'LL DROP ANOTHER LINE LATER

@JMS,
It certainly didn't work for me. All other tps on that bird were ok except that feed frequency.
Maybe it was up briefly but later went down, I don't know. In any case that's history now.

As for the strong 4663x pvr you mentioned in your other post, it is not very common here too
and I think one can only get it on special request.
