Seriously am disappointed with some of comments here concerning this pay issue. why are you guys getting worked up over a rumor of this one said, that one said? rather than waiting for tangible facts.

jamesbridget13: New teachers pls be punctual n serious with ur new job. If u wont be at ur duty post 4 any reason, make sure 2 seek permission from ur head teacher/principal. A supervisor visited my school today. I didn't intend going 2 sch 2day as i ve taken permission 2 resume next week. I just had 2 go 2 sch at around past 10 this morning 2 retrieve a paper i gave 2 my head teacher. He told me d supervisor just left n he requested 2 see d new teachers, he told him he granted us permission 2 resume next week. *he that has ears let him hear*

I think your head teacher is trying to trick you & your fellow new teachers into taking the job serious. Despite the fact that supervisors do visit the schools from time to time, they can't possibly do that at the moment knowing some persons are yet to be posted.

If i want to talk about appiontment letter, if by 2005 when i got the job i am doing now, i recieved my appionment letter via DHL hardcopy. 2013 Amechie want people to gather in public place for appointment letter, my brother that is primitive.

What do you think will be the cost implication to send 13,000 letters thru DHL? Do you think it will be cost effective to a state government to spend huge sums just to send letters when there's a readily available cheap alternative?

Let's not easily forget Symbian, Windows mobile (not Windows phone), Palm os etc granted they are all now obsolete but present innovations in smartphones take its root from these earlier os especially Symbian.
