Tekzy, na China calculator you dey use abi? You seem to undermine the strength of the State or the power you wield as a civil servant. If you must know, arrears are always redeemed no matter how long it takes even if it's done in batches.

On the issue of arrears, I got it from a reliable source that it's gonna be paid & sooner than we may be expecting.

All the new, genuine, 13000+ teachers want to hear is update on our salary & not all this grammatical correction bickering.

kunlexyfred: u are only mixing if up Sir, Degree and HND holders recruitment in all Military/ para-Military org is usaually refered to as cadets recruitment (police inclusive) and after training when commissioned, cadets(SSS) are either commissioned as S.I.O grade1 or 2(depending on ur performance during training). SSCE holders are refered to as DETECTIVES and ND or NCE holders as ASO! Detectives are those guys with that big riffle( TAR21) protecting some public office holders! Hope it helps

@OP. Please Let's get one fact straight. With the little knowledge I have of the SSS and the various grades within their ranks, qualification for Cadets is SSCE with an age limit of 18 or thereabout. These mostly consist of the gun toting officers you see with VIPs while B.sc & beyond holders are referred to as superintendents or agents with an age limit of 30 or so. Now which of these two categories are you specifically referring to that is about to recruit?

two Directors from the supervision department were in my school yesterday. on the account of our payment they said those that are yet to resume work after been posted as well as those not showing up for work at their duty posts are the reason we are yet to be paid. this is because they need to sieve out the unserious new teachers.

So please if you know anybody that's not reporting for work, tell them to do the right thing as their attitude is delaying our pay

plz don't misunderstand me. I didn't say we'll wait six months though that's how long some old teachers waited b4 first pay. as you rightly said we are already in the fourth month so any moment from now pay Will materialize

all those complaining about when salary will come & how many months arrears been expected, you should know that rivers State Government has it as a policy to start paying only after three(3) months of employment, It might be more but not less. An old teacher in my school even told us they started earning pay after six(6) months. my advice is brace yourselves and tighten your belts.

Am sure you were very happy upon discovering you were posted to a school in port Harcourt township or close to it, well the downside to that is you have to always be on your toes & leave your work place only at closing hour.
