I don't know if this is a bad idea or something but every time an end-user tells me they don't want to get scammed, I usually tell them to check out domains I have sold which are connected to websites and they always pay immediately after that. it has gotten me four sales so far and another this morning...

I'm just wondering if there's any downside to this.

The Last few pages of this thread is filled with mixed feelings, those who are happy and unhappy with domaining. Some are sounding very tired, probably, feeling sad that they have tried everything they could and still not getting any closer to what they feels they should be getting. I found something very valuable on this thread a long time ago that elevated me from a confused, depressed, saddened, angered, envied state in my domain journey and gave me an eternal strength. Some have read it but I would love to bring it back for us to read once more. No matter how many times I read it, it just never get old.



Don’t stop doing, trying, learning, fighting, or experimenting until you are also able to come here consistently to say IT IS GRACE.

When I said "...deep secret..." I knew exactly what I meant. The owner of this thread made it possible by exposing all his "deep secrets" as much as he knew and he's one of the best Nigerians around. But some of these guys who gain so much from this thread later went ahead and were lucky to gather more knowledge to add to what they already learned here which is helping them break new grounds. Instead of them to come back and expose it to those still struggling, they will come here and talk about grace while hiding the major info. SMH!

Errrmmmm on the million deal, I will like to correct that before people begin to project some image of what I am not It was a one-off thing, it is a long story that I can't explain here. I am just an adventurous person and same thing with HayKay. Man know stuff. The point I was trying to make in that $M post is that people here are from diverse backgrounds and are quite knowledgeable in fields that can benefit us all beyond domaining and there was no point trying to turn this thing into a competition.

Imagine IF the deal pulled off nicely, we would all be happy, no b so? But let's say I was trying to downgrade HayKay and turn his sales into a competition, I would not be able to pull that deal because he was in charge of the other group of people.

We put heads together and tried to make it work but unfortunately, the parties from my side were scammers. What saved us and me was the fact that I had been kind to someone in the past who had insider information of the whole plan. He called me on the phone and told me to back off.

BrandUche also has the experience that I have benefited massively from, a very selfless human with an abundance mentality. He is never selfish but kind.

Build a network, build relationships, build community... domaining is just part of the BIG cake, not the whole.

I've been aiming to say these and I hope this is the right time:
1. This thread should be a community for sharing knowledge and experiences.
2. Bin all these boss mentality.
3. Encourage, advise, persuade and inspire people to keep going, to unlearn and relearn.
4. Bin all these religious shittery, cuz this is not how this thread started years ago, even most of the experienced Domainers have left, some just drop once in a while like 2sexycom and Beckplanet.
5. Some newbies ask questions that might be annoying, refer them to Iykepromotions, and there's a guy who made a pdf about important points to learn, refer them to him, and mccainreal for squadhelp, Beckplanet for Brandables.
6. Help others out; shout outs to Sam Adetunji will still thank you properly for the books, shout outs to Duru for his copywriting mail guides some months ago, shout out to Ikhalyfa for sharing his experiences (some don't), shout out to Beckplanet for that golden Brandables thread and Iykepromotions for this thread. Help others more cuz we are all in poverty in this country and when you make money be humble, cuz you're still a poor man if you're in USA, Canada or Europe.
7. Thank God personally, thanking God here doesn't make you a worshipper, your domain got sold because it's needed, and the time for it to be in use is when you sold it, some domains are un-bought till now.
8. Let's start thinking critically, you got to find this thread because you're looking for a way to earn and leave Nigeria's poverty, it might be God, the universe or coincidence.
You know a domain to buy, where to list it, how to contact buyers and what to tell them by learning how this business works, God didn't grace you to put it in your head, and that's called effort, that effort shout be promoted more here!!!
9. Bin all these superiority complex; I know it's an African thing and some of you, after earning some bucks will start thinking you're superior to other people, they call you boss and all. No one knows that 2sexycom make deals in $millions, be wise!!! Mikemann, Abdulbasit, Tony, Swetha and other amazing ones don't do this, remember why you started, it's not for superiority or ego.
10. The spirit of community should be encouraged; this thread should be a community where people come when frustrated, hopeless and they leave energized, inspired and hopeful that they will be consistent.

I think a married woman should not have to work. Your wife stands to be treated as a subordinate and even disrespected by her bosses. Some may try to make advances. A man should make enough money to a point that his wife does not have to work too.

And the funny thing is, this might be a name that just struck to you, and you never checked it in any registrar simply to avoid stories that touch the heart/ getting hitched by others, pending when you have some time to channel to domaining; partly because you're busy with other projects /work. (note, you've had this name in mind for like thee 3 months that you were busy with other projects you were running, and surprisingly, nothing happened to it all these while).

Fast-forward to a day you finally got some time for domaining and then went straight to a registrar to check the availability and register, and lo, it was available and you added to cart immediately but during the process, network was so bad that you couldn't get through the registration that day. So you decided to leave it and conclude the next day .

And next day, on checking back on the registrar to conclude the registration, BOOM it is already registered, and you checked the registration date, it was that same yesterday that you checked it on their registrar for the first time but couldn't conclude cos of network! ! Lol! My brother e be things.

If you as a domainer sincerely believe that names don't get stolen sometimes by mere checking of the availability on some registrars, then I have nothing to say to you other than good luck . I'm not disputing the fact that there can be coincidences but some are not in MHO. Some events are way too real, too practical to be coincidence. But then, to each his own.

90% of names that got registered before you is just coincidence, the 10% are just mere talk about registra..

Remember, most domainers if not 90% has same type of keywords list. You went to Squadhelp and viewed Recently arrivals and see some certain keywords appear like Bold, bolt, nest, Store, lux etc. You went ahead and do some bulk search with your Keywords list. You see some good names but you didn't take the bold step to register, another domainer did the same thing but took the bold step and you're here shouting my names got stolen.

In Geo domains, almost all Geo domainers has the States and the top 500 cities or more saved in notes. All they Just need is to bulk search when they see a new combination with a city or state to find available ones.

People can use Expireddomains, recently arrival names, sales reports to find available names and that's where most domainers get there naming ideas.

That Domain you think that's available, there's 90% probability that someone has thought about it before. Use Hosterstats DOT com to check if I'm lying.

Names got stolen, TRUE but not this exaggeration.
