madridguy: El Rufai should carry go and pass on the Bill. We have freedom of worship but not freedom to disturb others. Enough is enough, enough of religious craziness, no Mosque/Church should be allowed to use speaker again and the religious hawking should also be stopped. A good Muslim must be time conscious to observe Salat and same as a good Christian. We must stop disturbing our society all the name of religion. I wish the governor will adhered to your opinion of not using loud speaker only, no one will go against his bill but his intention is for every Pastor/imam to obtain license b4 preaching in the state. And he is speaking like one god. What will happen when GOD decide to ask every humans to obtain license b4 breathing or worship him, who will be on the earth planet. The state and the country at large is faced will numerous problem, why having concern for issues that will not solve such problems. We need development, then all other things will run as normal. |
Investment › Re: Are Banks Legally Supposed To Charge Parallel Rate For Online Transactions? by 41lady(m): 2:39pm On Apr 01, 2016 |
Nairadays: The banks are now permitted to source for the greenback themselves, not like before where they were offered via the DAS (Dutch Auction System) of the CBN.
When they source from the CBN, they're bound by the law to charge at that rate or slightly higher than the rate at which CBN sold it to them, but now CBN stopped the auction system partly due to the fact that our foreign reserves have been depleting since the fall in crude prices, and so therefore banks are mandated to source for it themselves. They're not bound by the CBN official rates trading anymore but blackmarket rates.
It's so painful, heard from my colleagues that one certain bank was even charging NGN398 to $1.
May God deliver us from the mercy of these banks. Let be specific, Firstbank and GTbank Charge at NGN397 to NGN400 per USD1. I use my naira card and that's the rate they charged me.They have turn to financial criminals now, using the economy lopholes to exploit people. |

Dear Nairalanders,
This is the economic team that Jonathanians wish was still in power or want us to bring back to save Nigeria.
I pulled out this from 2 different sources as Nairaland political gladiators see Premium Times as APC sympathetic while Vanguard as PDP sympathetic. There shouldn't be any issue of biased reporting
Essense of this flash back;
There have been several attacks of the person of President Buhari and his Econmic team with Honourable Kemi Adeosun as the minister of finance and coordinating minster of the economy.
Oil price per barrel between Febuary and April 2015 hoovered between 54 to 57 dollars per barrel.
It is interesting to know that at this price, Jonathan and the mother of our economy were already borrowing to pay salaries and meet up obligations to contractors.
What would have been happening when oil went as low as 28 USD per barrel. Would Nigeria have been sold?
Naira was devalued to 197naira per dollar yet in didn't solve any problem as Nigeria still had to keep borrowing. Will devaluing Niara solve anything now?
Fellow Nigerians,
Despite the lowest oil price rate of all times, President Buhari and Mrs Kemi Adeosun have never borrowed to pay salaries rather they have dished out bail out funds to states to pay salaries.
Despite the low oil prices, President Buhari was able defeat BokoHaram Technically. Please Note that alot of money is also being spent on this war, something the past government was struggling to achieve despite the huge resources allegedly spent on the war.
The present Economic situation have been expected even before this adminstration as evident in the several warnings issued by the past minister of Finance. You can read her comments here even when oil was 74USD per barrel in case u missed the thread. https://www.nairaland.com/2898459/what-okonjo-iweala-said-when-oil
In summary;
Buhari inherited a very big problem and have so far so good tried is best to navigate the ship Nigeria safefly.
I urge Jonathanians to take a chill pill, and give this adminstration some time as its first ever budget have just been passed.
God bless the Federal Repubic of Nigera
God bless Mr President
God bless the Honorable Minister of Finance
1 millions likes for President Buhari and Mrs Kemi Adeosun Ok... let the present govt borrow also to reduce the suffering of the masses. Or the govt want people to die why they continue to use the little country have in its reserve to be travelling around the globe while the economy is dying?. Useless write up. |

Pls stop jumping into conclusion on issue issues that u have no knowledge about. there is reason why so many people converted to islam. ask why? find the answer Avoid blind following pls Is only hunger for the things of the world that people convert to Islam, no other reasons. Come to Asian... a good example, many Christians who ran from Naija because of hardship, come and marry old, shapeless Malay women just because of money and permanent resident. So also in the northern Naija, they do promise igbos and other non-muslims wife,car,house and work if they convert, I know many who have converted because of that. I was told "Don't love the world and things that are in the world" but I don't know why people are using things of the world to drag people to believe in their faith if it is the true faith. |

OPs, in maiduguri and Adamawa IDP camp is there Church, is't not only Mosque? Do people complain that Muslim want to convert the Christians there to Muslim, which however they have been doing. The girls that do marry in the camp to Muslims are Chridtian girls. This stupidity of religious fanatic of hausa people, I don't understand. That's one thing I like about yoruba, they don't behave like hausa, so also Asian Muslims. In asia because they don't allow us to call prayer in their mosque, they started complaining that; they are not true Muslims as if Muhammed was a hausa man. This is one of they reasons these politicians do use religious to cause crisis and killings among the masses. And also that's why we can not live together anymore. |

That's drama, not reality, which part of the Bible says JESUS CHRIST turn humans to sheep? Or is it because JESUS uses sheep as parables to explain to his disciples how important is a human that lost his way and the need to bring such soul back to the kingdom of GOD. Me that is not pastor can not misintepret that verse. That's why JESUS says not all who uses or are called by HIS name are his followers. |
