Let me tell you a short story.

Once upon a time, Pazienza (Ofoigbo) created a thread about Awolowo and free education and he was dancing in the village square with his Nairaland disciples cheering him on.

Then a Legend came along to refute all his argument and hammered him with superior evidence that showed that he was actually wrong about Awo and he also pressed further to show him the Eastern Region was actually the poorest during the Regional government at some point.

When Pazienza saw that his defeat is nigh, he cried to the Mods with all the strength he could muster and pleaded that they should help him close down the thread of his own creation. When the mods were slow to granting his desire, he hastily changed the Topic of his own thread to “This thread was compromised by powers that be”.
