adeekiti: Sir, in an environment where borehole doesn't work good, it's better to dig a well which sometimes you must service the well often by packing the fall off sands and in such environment, submersible pump is the best to used because the surface pump will keep developing faults. I knew of a location where the owners were warned not to dig borehole but the borehole guy was promising the owner of a good result (Sheybi Na to collect money for him own pocket then comot), the borehole was done and it has low pressure when pumping right from the day it was dug, funny enough the owner didn't know that it was the water that was used in digging the borehole was what the guy pumped out, it takes them 12hrs to pump half of a tank despite the area lacks power supply too(generator was been used to pump) it got to extent the pump got stucked as well. He only has water in his borehole when it rains heavily, I mean heavily and all he gets is dirty water... There are lots of information one needs to know before buying a land I have never done or seen survey result for water boreholes so my comment is based on theory. I think it would be better if one gets the survey data from neighbouring sites with successful boreholes and try to correlate with ones own site survey data. The more the data, the more accurate the result. The aim would be to try to map the aquifer and confirm same is available on ones subsurface. If like O&G surveys they provide type and depth of formation through either gravity/magnetic/seismic reflected anomalies, then correlation should be easy. Just to confirm that ones target formation is actually the same aquifer that the neighbouring borehole was drilled to . |

There are somethings I just can't comprehend Like what's so special about driving a car in summer with the roof down, Or spending a fortune to buy/restore a scrab car, Or spending unlimited funds to preserve ruins as artifacts, old buildings as monument/symbols,etc Or the thrill of taking a risk such as mountain climbing/mountaineering, rock climbing, paragliding, and skydiving etc I used to think only a white man could do such... Maybe na the memory of poverty still dey affect my thinking Oga EgunMogaji help me understand eehhh |

Welding angle irons and rebar isn't "welding" my brother. There is a lot to welding that all those.
Anyways, I wish you well in your new hustle!!!
Do good for good to come your way!!! I hope we know that 9ja Rebar rods have high carbon equivalent content and therefore require temperature caution while welding, otherwise they become brittle and act like the concrete they are supposed to reinforce |

NLresidentQS: Wow. Wow.
If this is real. It is sad. But since practical solution is needed, let's leave bereaving for now.
The escapee (labourer) should write his story, giving very good details of the location, where they were picked, time estimates, the date it happened. And how he was released.
The number of pillars, the estimated layout of the place, height of wall plus zinc wall (terms like as tall as 3 times a normal fence...etc). Without revealing ANY personal identity.
He should be helped by OP if he cannot write. Package this report and go to the nearest DHL, UPS or post office, then send to this 3 entities
1. The media (punch, Sahara promoters, etc) 2. The PRO, Nigerian police in the state 3. DSS
This being done, his conscience will be clear that he has done the right thing. And he will be summarily safe from the press, police and DSS.
Ah... May God continue to save us from us. The bolded comment will ensure he doesn't regret his action. However I doubt mere suspicion whether accompanied by a petition to IGP or the court of public opinion, will grant NPF or DSS permission to demolish anybody's legally constructed building (coz you need to demolish the columns and by extension, anything attached to them). If it were possible, a lot of PDP chieftains houses would have been demolished by now . Remember the demolition of suspected kidnap hideouts is backed by state level legislation and linked to national security issues and backed by a verified victim. The only way would be using high tech e.g. radiography and I don't think our NPF is ready for that ( even assuming the owner doesn't try to apply political backpressure on the IGP). Even at that, reasonable suspicion has to be proven first, i.e. beyond mere speculation and with some foundation like circumstantial evidence that the day the said pillars were constructed was the day the deceased was declared missing and a witness sighted him around the premises) |

Its normal in politics and blood money (ritual killings). There is 0.999 probability the house owner is a very influential and well known person in town. Hell he might even take seriously to alms giving/tithe paying/community donations.

Trying to change an AV multimedia system to HDMI for use with ProPresenter on my Mac system.
It doesn't have to be here to avoid derailing the thread. You can share links to such interesting setup if you have. By the way, this can be integrated into smarthome network so I don't think you're derailing the thread if shared in details here.
Thanks. Will try to get a picture when next I visit |
