That was not literal. It if as a vision. Have you asked yourself why a direct follower of Christ that moved about with him and dined with him severally refused to eat the food presented initially? Simple. He never ate it even as Christ's disciple. Pig is unclean
funny u,you don't eat sumtin simply because u might not be opportune pig is 1 of the 1st domesticated animals in the world it not that popular in bible because u can't rear them in a dessert pig was just unfortunate because Jesus Christ was beside the river n that the place suitable for pigs assuming na dessert trust me the demon go choose goat or cow because that what the will see around them maybe by now we won't be eating beef

Thanks for being frank.

The point of disagreement, if I understood you clearly, is which day is the Sabbath day and not hallowing the day.

OK may I ask you now, which day is the first day of the week as referenced in Mathews 28:1?

The first day obviously should define the 7th and the day of rest and worship.
Matt 28:1 _ "In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week,
came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre."
I dont think that verse defines a first day at all, it's simply stated as the day after sabbath, which might be monday. In which case my argument holds.

what i don't understand in this life is education millions of us depend on beef for protein that the reason some set of people prefer beef than human being itsef now some well educated guys are doing pig farming so as to ease the demand of beef b4 we slaughter each other finish in this country just to make end meet, most developed countries eat pork do we no better than them? seriously we don't have to belief everything we see or hear,if u claim pork is fatty, fry the meat wella so the fat can melt, keep the oil use it n cook n thank me later. we really need animal protein in our diet and beef alone or chicken or fish cant meet up,

You must be a novice. Stop saying what you don't know. Muslims keep insulting Christians and Jesus Christ in the religious section especially on Christian threads. Don't make ignorant comments.
If you're in doubt, carry out your own findings by going there to see things for yourself.
ireneidiva:

Because Muslims won't insult Christians. The Muslim threads are always filled with so much insults and hateful comments from 'Christians'. I'm a Christian btw.

Madam when last did you visit the religious section? There are so many Muslims who always insult Christians there on a daily basis. Say what you know please.
ireneidiva:

I'm talking about on Naira land threads not your school. Just go to a Muslim thread and see Christians calling them terrorists and other insults.

PROBLEMS WITH PORK

1) A pig is a real garbage gut. It will eat anything including urine, excrement, dirt, decaying animal flesh, maggots, or decaying vegetables. They will even eat the cancerous growths off other pigs or animals.

2) The meat and fat of a pig absorbs toxins like a sponge. Their meat can be 30 times more toxic than beef or venison.

3) When eating beef or venison, it takes 8 to 9 hours to digest the meat so what little toxins are in the meat are slowly put into our system and can be filtered by the liver. But when pork is eaten, it takes only 4 hours to digest the meat. We thus get a much higher level of toxins within a shorter time.

4) Unlike other mammyals, a pig does not sweat or perspire. Perspiration is a means by which toxins are removed from the body. Since a pig does not sweat, the toxins remain within its body and in the meat.

5) Pigs and swine are so poisonous that you can hardly kill them with strychnine or other poisons.

6) Farmers will often pen up pigs within a rattlesnake nest because the pigs will eat the snakes, and if bitten they will not be harmed by the venom.

7) When a pig is butchered, worms and insects take to its flesh sooner and faster than to other animal's flesh. In a few days the swine flesh is full of worms.

Swine and pigs have over a dozen parasites within them, such as tapeworms, flukes, worms, and trichinae. There is no safe temperature at which pork can be cooked to ensure that all these parasites, their cysts, and eggs will be killed.

9) Pig meat has twice as much fat as beef. A 3 oz T bone steak contains 8.5 grams of fat; a 3 oz pork chop contains 18 grams of fat. A 3 oz beef rib has 11.1 grams of fat; a 3 oz pork spare rib has 23.2 grams of fat.

10) Cows have a complex digestive system, having four stomachs. It thus takes over 24 hours to digest their vegetarian diet causing its food to be purified of toxins. In contrast, the swine's one stomach takes only about 4 hours to digest its foul diet, turning its toxic food into flesh.

11) The swine carries about 30 diseases which can be easily passed to humans. This is why God commanded that we are not even to touch their carcase (Leviticus 11:8 )

12) The trichinae worm of the swine is microscopically small, and once ingested can lodge itself in our intestines, muscles, spinal cord or the brain. This results in the disease trichinosis. The symptoms are sometimes lacking, but when present they are mistaken for other diseases, such as typhoid, arthritis, rheumatism, gastritis, MS, meningitis, gall bladder trouble, or acute alcoholism.

13) The pig is so poisonous and filthy, that nature had to prepare him a sewer line or canal running down each leg with an outlet in the bottom of the foot. Out of this hole oozes pus and filth his body cannot pass into its system fast enough. Some of this pus gets into the meat of the pig

Wow wow wow all this in a pig.Damn gotta review my eating habit of the pork. shocked

We should also realize that the old testament was based around the Jewish culture and in their culture eating pig is forbidden, just like in most of our own cultures now , some forbidd snake , some dogs etc. It is only sin that makes you unclean.

Isah in Arabic. I don't know the meaning.

1. Now, if you don't know the meaning of Isah, and Jesus(greek) means Jehovah our salvation which is Joshua in Hebrew.... How do u relate that to Isah in the Koran.

2. The Jesus that the Koran speaks about is it Jesus Christ or just Jesus, because that may be another issue to settle

Whichever the name is, I am less concerned. Isah is Jesus. The son of marry. One who was born without a father. He is a man neither the begotten son of god nor the god. He is a prophet and messenger of God. He is a Muslim who submit himself to Almighty God (even the Bible testify this). No Muslim is Muslim if did not believe that Jesus is a prophet and one of the messengers of God.

Jesus the Messiah. Son of Marry.

Pigs are described in this section as prohibited because they have a cloven hoof but don't chew their cud.
This is not the reason why Jews do not eat pork! What you've listed is the law forbidden it. Look deeper. Someone alluded to it by mentioning what pigs eat and its effect on pork.

Na God words if we like we agree or not it up to those who admit and ignore
All meat will have maggots if left long enough. Pigs reared in a well maintained farm don't have maggots! But that does not answer the question.

In the old days, pigs were not reared on farms and roamed around eating anything they could find including poo and dead bodies. For this reason they were prone to be diseased, and to protect people, the bits in the Bible were said to come from God forbidden the consumption of pork. Today however, with better animal husbandry, ebi ni o pa Ijesa ni o fi ni wipe o un ko ni jẹ ekọ Ọyọ.
