Money has a "trickle down" effect, this elites won't do the jobs themselves, they will employ all sorts of professionals and artisans to do this jobs, Engineers, bricklayers, project managers etc, while these people are working, Mama Nkechi selling rice and beans can always show to the sites to sell to these workers in the morning and afternoon, that way she can go to market to buy pepper from Mama Rashida, Mama Rashida can pay her son's school fees and as a result of this the boys teachers salary will be paid etc

I hope you now see how it works? Next time if you're not sure of something ask, it's not a crime but when you don't have an idea of an issue and you talk with authority it makes you look like a person that has never stepped into a classroom.

Nigeria is a country of riff-raffs, rogues and mad people. Citizens like the OP who are enemies of the common man.
Venezuela was already in a deep economic quagmire long before oil prices crashed due to a combined effect of an incompetent dictatorship and grippling american sanctions that has further destroyed their economy.
GEJ for all his mediocrity and corruption handed over a much better Nigerian economy to buhari which has deteriorated sharply in a space of 2 years. That is inexcusable. Nigeria is also not under any economic sanctions unlike venezuela, so there is no possible genuine comparison between both.
It is unfortunate though a lot of poor simple and ignorant Nigerians would unfortunately fall for these hideous and despicable charlatans in their excuse and defense of a failed president and his clowns in power.
Really? Venezuela? A country that was building houses for its citizens? Ok, let's even agree that you're right, what of Saudi Arabia?

Op... Nairaland is populated by people vast in knowledge of different fields....be careful when you're producing selective analysis of issues in here..... Now go and correct the jibber jabber up there.

Starting with Hugo Chávez and his constant quarrels with the West.....
Go into how cancer limited his performance and effects of his perennial hold on to power...

His socialist policies...which left the country in economic ruins...

Now how do they correlate with Nigeria APC government who lost the largest economic position inherited from PDP government in less than a year?
How does that correlate to the reckless speeches of @Buhari about Nigerians being corrupt in international fora meant to market the prowess of Nigerians and Nigeria's economy?
How does that correspond with @Buhari's inability to appoint ministers to coordinate the economy and consolidate on the PDP gains?
How does that correlate with the 95% n 5% speech on Aljazeera or CNN interview of @Buhari?
How does that correlate with the fact that FDI in Nigeria is virtually nonexistent?
How does that correspond with the fact that two years later @Buhari still finds it palatable blaming the former administration for his self inflicted woes?

NOW Go and CORRECT YOURSELF UP THERE!
You're mumbling a lot of things together but I won't even bother myself about that. One question for you though, why was our economy certified as the largest in Africa? If you answer this, then we will see if you really know what you're saying.

How long can be used to withdrawn 2.7million from an ATM? For most banks, daily limit is N100K. That means it happened in a space of at least one month? If he took 100K er day, it would take him 27days to withdraw N2.7million. That means oga boss did not receive or make calls with his business line over this period?

To be honest, I think his boss exagerated.
He made some transactions using the POS machine according to the story, that way it's easy to rack up the bills. He probably shopped online too.

KingOfAmebo:
This is not about being a supporter of any political party but about applying simple reasoning and avoid being fooled by a bunch of people.

Recently, it was all over the Nigerian web space that the wife of the President of the most populous black nation on earth finally visited the United State of America, much to the amazement of those who believed she was mentioned in the Halliburton Saga. Well, to find out if the visit really happened let's ask ourselves this questions.

Why was she not received by Michelle Obama?

She visited Washington DC right? But was she banned from entering the white house?

Has any one heard any government Spokesperson from the United States acknowledging the visit of the wife of the President of Nigeria?

Is there any video evidence of her visit?

We were told not to believe everything we read, but with the magic of Photoshop we must be weary of what we see.

Sadly, the majority of us actually believed she visited the United States of America.

See attached photos of visits by the wives of other African Presidents, can someone please help us with Aisha Buhari selfies with atleast one US government official
Intelligent question? Really? Please tell us the difference between a Private visit and an official visit. What sort of human beings is NL breeding?

PoliticsRe: I Didn't Attend PDP Convention — Obasanjo by 4dor: 10:03am On Aug 07, 2016
DIKEnaWAR:
Calling PDP a dead party?

A party that took him from a dying man out of prison, rehabilitated and made him President. Without PDP, Obasanjo would have died for lack of cash to pay his medical expenses or out of hunger and frustration. He became rich and rehabilitated his pocket and businesses.

Instead of being a democrat, Obj turned a garrison commander and destroyed everything democratic about the PDP. When he was leaving office, he left an Ahmed Makarfi, Nasir El rufai and other better qualified northerners to impose sick and clueless Yar'adua on us. He abandoned Donald Duke, Udo Udoma, Kanu Agabi and other better qualified men from the south south to saddle us with a corrupt and inept GEJ. Ask me why PDP won't die?

Obj, PDP is not dying. It is dead and you killed it. What you left was the carcass of a huge elephant whose odour those you left behind couldn't manage. They all ran in different directions; abandoning GEJ with the elephant. He in turn has abandoned ship.

This is saying RIP to PDP and to APC in advance(as Buhari too is killing that one). If we want to take back our country from these 'Mugabe' clowns, we have to forget Political party, ethnic or religious inclination and concentrate on a country that works: A country restructured to work!
I agree with everything you wrote except your first paragraph, how do you think Abacha died? Why did Abiola follow him? Immediately Obj left prison he donated a huge amount of money to the PDP? How do you think that happened? After prison before even signifying his intention to run, he embarked on an international tour, why do you think he did this?

Obj was never a dying man, even locking him up in a cage is dangerous, as brave as Abacha was, he knew this.

The on-going budget controversy currently hitting the House may have been a set up from on set due to fresh news making rounds.
BlackBox Nigeria intersected a screen shot of chat between an unknown number and a supposed member of the House of Representatives which the unknown number called Hon Abdulmumin. See the chat below…

In an effort to confirm the authenticity of the number, BlackBox Nigeria dialed the number using a special app designed to reveal real owners of unknown numbers, see the result below…

Even though this is not a sure proved technique, Nigerians we like to know if truly there is a conspiracy through the backdoor to get Speaker Dogara out by certain establishment.

Jaybee I dey.

Dangote is owing. No one has sealed his business. Most big businesses use people's money to make money. Otedola etc
Now my problem is not the so called fight against corruption. Anyone who has governments money should pay up or be taken care of by the law.

My issue is when we have evidence mounting against those who are close to Buhari and EFCC, AMCON, DSS etc look the other way.

Then they selectively pick up the vocal cords of the almost none existent opposition.

They went for his bad debt because they could not trace the yeye security vote to him.

Is he the only company owing AMCON? How many have been sealed before his own?
Owing AMCON is not a crime as long as you are servicing your debt, he's not the only one owing, Dangote's brother and Jimoh Ibrahim's companies too were seized around this same time as Ben Bruce.

That said 11 billion is not a joke, businesses would have died, people would have lost jobs and gone hungry if AMCON didn't step in to save the day with Tax Payer's money.

If you disagree with me lend me 500k and let me refuse to pay you back, then we can have this conversation again.

Why do you people like twisting words to suit a point?
This thread is about the death of an innocent woman, that post had five paragraphs, just one (a sentence) talked about how sad the situation was.

Four other paragraphs was devoted to criticise people that preach with megaphones early in the morning. So you tell me if I'm twisting words or if comprehension is rocket science to you.

Very sad indeed, and Pst Adeboye has chosen that path of Christ.

Many questions however abound.

Why should someone use megaphone for morning cry? As a Christian if you do that in front of my house at 5 am or 6 am it is either I get out of the house and drive you away or charge you to court for disturbing my sleep. If I am interested in listening to your preaching I will come to your church.

What is wrong is wrong. It is wrong to disturb people in the name of religion. This as much affects the moslems who use loud speakers for morning prayers.

People should be decent and respect others' right to peaceful sleep.
So death is the appropriate punishment?
