Politics › Re: Money Recovered From DSS Raid On Judges Revealed by 4dor: 10:23pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
Surfboard: It isn't the judges that are to be solely blamed for people awaiting trial. The judge can only adjudicate on what is brought before him. You should be directing your grievances on people awaiting trial to prosecution and defence counsel, they're the ones wasting time.
And even at that, the mode of the arrest of these judges is unlawful. Whether or not they're corrupt, there's a procedure under the law for things to be done, and in this case, they haven't been done.
You can continue cheering the government, but be rest assured that this tyranny will affect you, it's only a matter of time. Just wait for it. Justice Oluyinka Gbajabiamila (Lagos State High Court): He allegedly delivered judgment in a matter before him 22 months after written addresses were adopted and 35 months after the close of evidence in the suit. He was recommended for compulsory retirement from office. For the records, that tyranny has already been at my door since the mid 90s, people like you were in coma at the time abi? So I don't need to wait for it, I have witnessed it first hand and it's pay back time. That pay back is what you should wait for. |

Surfboard: All these stories coming out when the Judges can't defend themselves and have been denied access to visitation and you're all here applauding tyranny?
Think about it. The judiciary is society's last hope against this government and if they can treat senior judges like this, imagine how they would treat you that is shouting 'crucify him'.
I hope you brainwashed people really sit back and think cause Nigeria is falling apart before our very eyes. Yeah right, please go to the prisons and tell young men and women there who have spent over 7 years awaiting trial this. You seem to be so sure it's the society's last hope but I bet you haven't seen one person whose life has been destroyed by these corrupt and lazy judges. |
Family › Re: What Are Your fears Of Getting Married Or Being Married? Singles ONLY by 4dor: 12:35pm On Oct 07, 2016 |
CoCoLav: Marriage is not for everybody. Meet someone you like and stay together, if you guys get bored move on. Shi.t happens. It is better than being married and bored but unable to leave because you have kids and you signed a contract. You will now spend the only life you have managing happiness when you could be out there exploring and discovering yourself.
For those immune to societal pressure, just date and have kids only if you want. You might even end up being better parents without the stress of spousal incompatibility and problem from in-laws. This is why I have a lot of respect for people in open marriages because they know that they cannot be monogamous and have accepted it. Marriage is not really all that and only serves to suit society as far as I am concerned.
Anyway, my fear of getting married:
1) I will get bored 2) He will not understand my drive for success and try to slow me down with children 3) We will grow apart Can we say your present environment triggered this fear? If you were in your natural 'habitat', would you still be scared of this? |

Why can't the LASG GOVT build a dam here to absorb the excess water, if there's anything I've learnt reading about the Netherlands history it's that there's always engineering solution to every problem. I feel your pain but in all honesty the last government tried so much on this issue. What you see here is a combination of greed and indiscipline by civil servants, land sellers and the people that bought the land. |

bishop4life: Yes he has. He actually is defending one of the two. If you care to know, Buhari through his anti corruption witch hunt is already handling the mess by PDP. So dasuki, metuh etc can rot in prison for all I care. But anyone defending the fact that those facts pointed above needs to be answered is not just anti people but a heartless demon. I have said it, the solution to Nigeria's problems lies with the youth.except they decide to take control of their today, these old carnivores will still seize their tomorrow. I hate to see people defend even things that can never be defended. Now let me say it again, Jonathan and his team are corrupt.Buhari is even worst.
Even when this government still maintain same reckless system by past admiration. They still succeededi n making sure money does not flow into this country with there uncalculated policies. Take it from me, our problem have always being our government. But our problem today is surely our government today. Like I will say: for me, a reckless manager will always be better than an unproductive one. This has cleared my doubts, as for you relying on the youth to solve our problems, 1. It won't happen simply because rather forming a synergy they'd rather be thugs or puppets of politicians. 2. Ethnic and religious bias is worse among young people. NL is a good example. |

titus3: Amen!
My brother will be starting his private biz soon. Our family had to contribute money for him, pending till he gets a new job. But he says he wants to collect his money today so that he will have money to start.
I blame Buhari and his APC govt for this. After they fined MTN, things have not been the same for them... Now they have brought indians to come and manage their call centre, and their office is outside Lagos. So a lot of the current staff cannot move. I love everything you said until you got to the issue of blaming Buhari and APC for this, yes this government hasn't been top notch but ask yourself and I know your brother can be a good witness. Is this the first time this is happening at MTN? Even when the economy was ok, didn't they treat people like this? On the issue of fine, so when foreign companies break our laws we shouldn't do anything because we don't want people to loose jobs? Didn't the government negotiate and later reduced their fine. This is the same reason that the entire Niger Delta has been ravaged by oil spillage. |

id911: una lies go kill una one day. Which Buhari? Adesina clearly stated after he won election that if not Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who used her influence and ofcourse, Atiku's frienship with Jacob Zuma, he wouldn't have won. Una too dey lie I really get tired when people try to twist history, yes NOI was vital to his win but the killer stroke to his success was the backing of the Southern Africa block, how do you think that happened? Who handed him over to Atiku, flew in a private jet to SA and had a meeting with Zuma? So we can say because he didn't mention these people, they weren't vital? Do you know how long Nigeria has targeted that office? A Google search can clear any doubt you have, please just don't try to twist history. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/182357-afdb-buhari-sends-atiku-to-president-zuma-to-lobby-for-minister-adesina.html |

Ahmed0336: Most Police officers are terrible, that uniform make em feel they can do and undo. Most of em knows nothing about human right and constitution. Lemme drop a story. A week back my friend was driving along Lafia road when a camry hit him from behind, he lost control then ran into two keke napep parked by the road side. Four persons lost their lives included a pregnant woman, luckily police officers were stationed at the scene of the accident. The camry driver ran off. my friend was hospitalized when policemen came and took him straight no short cuts to cell. The families of the deceased gave statements at the station that since it was no fault of his that the police should set him free. Likewise those officers stationed at the point of the incident also gave their statements saying my friend wasn't at fault. As I am typing this that dude is still in cell. They said they ll grant him bail if we pay 150,000 and the person must have properties in lafia. Aswear if I say d matter no tire me I lie. D dude looks sick, 1 week now him never bath and if u see the cell honestly u no go pray to enter police trap Hello Ahmed, Please if this story is true go to Twitter and report to this handle (@PoliceNG_CRU) if you get no response, mention me and I will take it up from there. |

As a former First Lady, she had lot of opportunities to do business and make money. I was thinking that Efcc would have told us the source of the funds. Is it from Nigerian Treasury or stolen? Let Efcc tell us or shut up. Efcc needs to come clean on Patience Jonathan allegations against them. Account doesn't have her name, companies not in her name, BVN not linked to her. The building next to hers Yes, but not hers & when she asked the landlord, she was informed that it was been taken care of. If you can take your time to write a long article you can take time to get the facts straight. This is disservice to her & other victims; get your facts straight!
