Nokia's video showcasing the Lumia 920's Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) might've given the impression it was filmed with the new PureView-toting device, but a reflection of a film crew spotted by PocketNow in the trailer (27 seconds deep) hinted that wasn't the case.


The folks in Espoo have confirmed that the footage was indeed captured using a different camera. "Of course, hindsight is 20 / 20, but we should have posted a disclaimer stating this was a representation of OIS only," the company's Heidi Lemmetyinen penned on the Nokia Conversations blog.

"This was not shot with a Lumia 920. At least, not yet. We apologize for the confusion we created."

if it was signed, it definitely should have a commencement date in one of its provisions, or in its preamble.

I do recall also that Fashola has said publicly that the law is already in force from he date it was signed.

honestly, you will have to be lower than that.

are you actually trying to make this as big as possible? cuz the publicity level i think you want to do is a bit on the "too much" side. be careful not to over extend yourself on the marketing part. you are not MTN that can afford front page ADs

pls note that @ 60k you will only be 10-15k lower than an IPAD 1, 2 and soon 3. Galaxy Tabs also retail around that price point.
next thing you know people will be telling you they would rather buy an IPAD cuz its more known!


now you see why it takes large companies to compete, i doubt if the profit margins on the big names actually make sense in the short term, but overall they do break even on good products.

remember you will also have re-destribution with profit margins for retailers

the 35k guys are making close to 11k per unit. if you order 1 yourself you get with shipping for around 150 dollars=24k

personally id say shoot for between 40-50 k. economies of scale ought to help you on this product

No release date because Microsoft has not announced a release date for WP8. There will be a WP8 focused event in a month's time. It's expected it should arrive close to Windows 8's arrival...which is October 26th.

There are other colors available...including white, grey and black.

This doesn't have the massive sensor of the 808, but it has hardware optical stabilization that far outstrips anything on any phone out there (including the 808) and rivals DSLRs. It has a low light performance that's 5 - 10 times better than anything else out there apart from the Pureview 808. You'll shoot crisp, clear 1080p video that perfectly stabilized.

basically, the camera in the 920 is way better than that found on any other phone apart from the Pureview 808.
