na true talk na. funny man

BTW how far with denilson sef? has returning home rejuvenated him or confirmed his utmost crappiness?

as for Ramsey, presently, for me, he is neither here nor there. sublime moments interspersed with mostly crap. a lot like diaby was 3 seasons ago.
my issue is, for a midfielder, he may not know or do much but he definitely should not/cannot do is give away possession. and it becomes a habit.

it needs to be stamped out. if they can get to sort out that aspect, fine. he will be a decent ball player.

remember Ray Parlour? understated player. he was not the flash and glamour type, but man i dont think i ever saw a better replacement player, he did the basics WELL.
if ramsey can be like that i dont mind.

i miss wilshere. honestly i do. that was committment mixed with innate ability. and not yet the finished product sef but already important.

just like i suspected: mcheeeew

in an interview with ZDNets Steven J.
Vaughan-Nichols , Ubuntu founder Mark
Shuttleworth has spoken of plans to bring
Ubuntu to mobile devices, tablets and TVs.
Linux for even more human beings

In his pre- UDS chat with ZDNet, Shuttleworth
said called the move ‘a natural expansion [of]
Ubuntu as Linux for human beings.’
“As people have moved from desktop to new
form factors for computing, it’ s important for us
to reach out to out community on these
platforms. So, we’ll embrace the challenge of
how to use Ubuntu on smartphones, tablets and
smart-screens .”

Now I know what you’re thinking: “Android.”
Vaughan-Nicols put the proverbial white-
elephant in the room to Shuttleworth, who was
more than optimistic about Ubuntu’s chances
against it: -
“The device world is highly competitive and
highly dynamic, while Android and iOS
dominate handheld devices, disruptive elements
could still establish themselves. Therefore,
Ubuntu and Windows can still be a real force.
…from the industry viewpoint, Google
acquisition Of Motorola Mobility has shook up
the hardware vendors, so some of them are
looking for non- Android alternatives.”
And Ubuntu tablets?
“We’ve also already heard from people who are
already shipping tablets that they want Ubuntu
on the tablet. ”

I’ve also heard from people who
are already buying tablets – and they want
Ubuntu on the tablet, too! wink

Ubuntu 14.04
Before you get too exited, I should point out
that you won’t be powering up your flat-screen
TV to the sound of Ubuntu’ s familiar jungle
chimes, or prodding your finger on a 100%
tablet- optimised Unity desktop until around
Ubuntu 14.04 – that’s April 2014, fact fans.
And whilst that date may seem a long way off,
it’ s potentially for the best.

“Smart TVs” haven’t really taken off as many
had predicted – Ubuntu can seize on the “why
not” and bring its own value to this area.
Non-Apple tablet sales have only just begun to
take off – perhaps Windows 8 will ignite this
market further as users seek a device with more
oomph than Android?
And in a world of vying smartphones OSes
(from Bada to iOS) the exact void a ‘disruptive
element’ could fill has yet to be
properly identified. I mean, good- will can only
take you os far, right Maemo?
But it’s an exciting prospect, isn’t it?
BTW, can someone recommend a full featured twitter client?

im still hating on Gwibber. and i dont want tweetdeck anymore, it runs slow and buggy for me

this coogar is a confirmed RETARD.  HOW STUPID CAN ONE PERSON BE?
fookhead is still trying to justify the rubbish he spewed!!

this is the chelsea team that played everton for 120 mins:
Chelsea
22 Turnbull
02 Ivanovic
04 David Luiz
33 Alex
34 Bertrand
06 Romeu
15 Malouda
20 McEachran (Mikel 64)
18 Lukaku (Cech 60)
21 Kalou (Sturridge 85)
39 Anelka

how many played arsenal at the weekend?  they were tired because people who did not play and were never listed travelled from london to everton!

nah im sure of what im saying, unless they post wrong prices on the show glass dummies.

u know the prices in both slot cv shops differ, eg the headset i bought was 4.5k at the medical road shop, but 4k at the old shop inside cv.

the desire s price tag i saw for 49k was at the medical road shop, the samsung corner at the right side of the shop, was beside the sgs2 and the 7inch tab.

wont be surprised if it was a mistake tho from them there, but i know what i saw. was surprised myself.

"One of my appeal for linux is the idea I could
make it what I want it to be, but with the hiding
of configuration options, these chaps at ubuntu/
gnome are making me frown seriously,
seriously!!"

funny thing is this is supposedly why linux is not mainstream. people keep pointing out that editing config files, using terminals etc is not user friendly etc. and that is one of the advantages of windows and OSX over linux. how many people customise windows installs? how tweakable is it, how many will ever tweak a reg entry? what ever MS drops on their laps they take without complaining, just look at the mess the proposed metroui is

then another set of folks then come up and shout that thats the best thing about linux etc. it must be a terrible experience designing for linux desktops.

personally im not complaining too much seeing that i had been using unity in 11.04. sure it could be better but im adapted. as far as im concerned the entire mess is Gnome projects fault.

with all the evil vitriol poured on stallman for the unity idea, its obvious now that he was smart. its just too bad ubuntu has to hold gnome project's hand all the way, those guys are spoiling the desktop experience. that Gnome shell is atrocious, the gnome 3 libraries are a mess and incomplete. the only reason its passable now is cos canonical went on unity, without ubuntu gnome desktop is a second class fad, most distros excel at KDE and other desktops. i bet canonical regrets relegating KDE now,

sighs, just look at how long and hard it is for gnome to improve nautilus, the gnome 3 is seriously deficient still, despite the fact they started work over a year before canoncal started unity, within 8months unity is far more useable than gnome-shell thats been two years or more in development.

btw u can now move the unity bar to the bottom with a dirty hack but it works, check omgubuntu for the how to.

hehehe its my constitutional right to yarn dust jare.

i think wenger should lock up andre santos and starve him for two weeks, watching the match again im shaking my head at his fitness and defending.

good to see that wenger is finally learning some things, djourou had a decent game and the very first hint of mistakes by him he gets yanked out .
tho y vilas boas did not tell mata to go sit on him is beyond me, thot his scouting was good. he should have known djourou was an accident waiting to happen.

truth be told, i really do not think chelsea is that much better than us, what they have over us is confidence, and experience at the league on the whole. but this their coach needs to learn fast, this aint portugese league, playing gung ho with arsenal will never end in your favor

and hands up, i have to give it to wenger, he has managed to get this team of misfits to win 8 in 9. AMAZING

it takes something special to go to rival stadiums with this yeye players and get result, its practically miracle working.

redress the totoham debacle and i will back u again, i hate losing to london clubs and until wenger redress the imbalance in london, he is still in my bad books.

still cannot believe this shyte squad got results against stoke and chelsea, miracle

the real turning point this season is the day we keep a clean sheet against a top 4 side, atrocious defending. truth be told, this metersacker is not it, the first choice pairing has to be verm and kos, and shout out to kos, now thats a defender in form

http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/01/lenovo-announces-ideapad-a1-the-199-android-tablet-we-go-hand/

If you thought you couldn't get a real Android tablet from a brand you've heard of for less than $200, think again. Lenovo's just announced the IdeaPad Tablet A1, a 7-inch Android unit that we got a sneaky first glimpse of back in July. Now it's real, and it's cheap, it's running Gingerbread, and while it doesn't hold a candle to the Galaxy Tab 7.7, it honestly feels like something far above its price point.

There are plenty of cheap Android tablets out there, but most have sketchy construction and many are locked out of the Android Market -- meaning no Gmail app, no Maps, and none of the other built-in Google goodies. That's not the case with the A1, which is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a single-core Cortex A8 processor. It has front- and rear-facing cameras (the back one rated at three megapixels) and a 7-inch, 1,024 x 600 display

Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet A1 hands-on
There are plenty of cheap Android tablets out there, but most have sketchy construction and many are locked out of the Android Market -- meaning no Gmail app, no Maps, and none of the other built-in Google goodies. Again, those are specs that don't compare to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, but something tells us you won't be able to score one of these for the $199 asking price that the A1 starts at. For that you'll get 8GB of storage, but a 16GB model will go for $249, 32GB for $299. We're told only the 16GB and 32GB models will be shipped to the US, which is a bit of a shame, as with both microSD and SD expansion it'll be fairly easy to add more. Connectivity is limited to WiFi, but there is a GPS in there, so it could make for a passable navigation device.

We've already seen it available for pre-order at Amazon and spent a bit of time with it ourselves last month, but ViewSonic's only just now officially getting its ViewPad 7e Android tablet out the door. It'll be available by the end of the month if it hasn't hit retailers already and, as expected, it will set you back an even $200. That unfortunately only buys you Android 2.3 (with an SPB shell on top) and not Honeycomb, but the specs are otherwise somewhat decent for the price, including a 1GHz ARM A8 processor, dual cameras, a "RiteTouch" 7-inch capacitive display, 4GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expansion, and HDMI output. As is often the case with low-end tablets, however, one key omission is official support for the Android Market, but you do at least get access to Amazon's Appstore, as well as plenty of pre-loaded apps including Twitter, Kindle, and TuneIn Radio.

1. make sure the usb cable is ok
2. make sure the usb port you are using on your PC is ok,

those things behave irrationally at times. on my PC my modem works only in one port. on the rest it is detected, but it will never connect undecided undecided

3. if the above is ok, make sure u set the usb connection on the phone to PC suite mode.

4. if its still not working, try restart the PC with the phone connected in PC SUITE mode.

5. if its still not working, open a terminal, type lsusb

post the output here, lets see if the modem is detected at all.

can anyone shed more light? I've tried searching on the internet for a solution but maybe I'm not using the right terms. . .

I'm using 11.04
erm really?

thats very very surprising. i remember i used to plug in the usb, then select PC Suite mode on the fone.
configure your service provider APN as appropriate in network manager and it will connect.

for a linux fone, not being able to tether is very very surprising? is it that the PC does not detect the fone modem at all?
as far as i know, when i was using that fone, that was all i used to do.

@ dudu, on chamakh, you are preaching to the choir.

the problem is this rut or loss of form bla bla bla is beginning to last forever. even arshavin who we generally agree is a lazy arse midget is starting to show signs of trying to get another contract. (thats what i attribute is miraculous attempts at recovery to)

this chamakh thing has gone from he is new, to he is tired, to 2nd season syndrome, to outright crappiness. '

i can support him all day long for arguments sake, but this is a striker who is looking more and more like a ball boy every passing match.

what will it take to get a decent performance out of him, even against second rate opposition? a visit from Mary Magdalene?

its simple, he either sits up and shapes up or he ships out. he can go rehabilitate at lorient, we no longer have the luxury of carrying on such burdens. the team is going through too much to afford stringing on players who do not look like professional footballers the more they play, irrespective of whether he was pele in a previous life
