i have managed to get a vpn client based on openvpn running on my 10.04, how ever whilst it connects to the server fine, i cant seem to route traffic through it.

thus my issue is simple, how do i route all my tcp traffic through the vpn.

NB i ping the vpn server successfully so i know it works.


i have added the
push "redirect-gateway def1"

line to the config file and i can start the vpn via that config file.

pls abeg, this thing is driving me nuts

download that to your pc, use a xp pc preferably. vista will work too though.



u then need to plug in the modem, do not open the dashboard.

then launch that file (after u have unzipped it mind), it will detect the modem and try to restore the firmware.



try that and make sure u let it complete even if it seems to be hanging, leave it till it completes.



then you can try to use the modem again to see.



the meloriem ware require you to be online and have credit with the makers to use it to reset., i will check my warez folder later to see if i have another ware to reset huawei modems. cheers

i understand the wired broadband/last mile connectivity thingy, but if for me the average starved consumer paying through my nose for internet, the cable will mean that i can probably get up to 1mbps consistent speed at cheaper rates, then the cable has helped me, i dont really have to be able to watch HULU you know

bottomline is we are suffering in naija for this internet thing, if i will get better service for cheaper costs right now, i will take it and not complain about not watching world cup online!!!!
