spicyhoney:
@pine-ed, the guy is probably lying, all those celibate things don't work especially for guys.

@4llerbuntu
, I don't like people that talk too much around me be it guys or girls, I prefer watching them from afar, u know talking to them on the 'hi' basis and listening to them for my own amusement at times. In your own case, for a guy; I don't think its ok to be too quiet like u described urself to be. just try to loosen up a little, no matter how quiet one is; there are some people that when they are around u, they bring out that 'silent noisy' part of u.

But for some posters here claiming not to like girls that talk too much and the ones that are on the average and those that are extremely quiet, i wonder how possible that is.
dont i know it!!! its kinda funny when i see people who have known me for quite a while and THINK they have me figured only to find out they know squat nowt!! its always so shocking for them they suddenly start looking at me warily from far like ---this fella has to be really crazy!!!
i dont know why people think they know you by association when they dont even know what your thought pattern is, nor have the faintest idea on what constitutes you!!
talk is cheap, it doesnt make the man. live and learn, WATCH and pray (jesus was soooo smart)

its a bit difficult dealing with folks even family, cuz they really cannot understand it. mind i have found that the greatest weapon a person can have is the ability to keep quiet at any event, and in any circumstance!!!
i do talk at times, when i think you are intelligent enough to talk to that is, and have the ability to understand. being a guy makes it easy, when all fails talk about girls, sex, football (as if na that one dey occupy my mind)
people can be so shallow, there are men who actually think about women, sex and football when alone, scary!!

@ spiceyhoney
nobody is hating babes wink wink wink
we know most of us cant do without u pple  grin grin

but really, i dunno abt the opposites part, cos im kinda tight-lipped and introverted. i have learnt to present a very agreeable front to the public to blend in, but if u actually take note around me, you will not hear a single thing that really matters, or concerns me in all the gist!!!

and i definitely cannot stand talkatives, not i cant!!!! i wont pay u any attention after like 5 mins of commentary, and i do cherish my quiet. infact i love being alone, at home noone but me, nobody to respond to. HEAVENLY!!!!!

i dont understand how im gonna get married!!!, really wont last a week without running away from the talking!

nah not really unless you know what to do, u using my torrc? thats not the normal torrc.

besides little tips like use polipo instead of privoxy. i have both installed just disable one. polipo is shyte for security so when blocking is going on its easy to tackle, (sorry windows users) there have been times that windows tor wasnt working yet on ubuntu the same settings were working!!
but polipo is simpler and faster

privoxy is definitely slower but more secure!! working on tweaks but one def one is to disable the adblocking, disable caching.(over time caching helps, but not overtly at first, and only if caching is enabled on your ubuntu box)

put up specific exit points in your tor config, use the fastest relays available, watch the map for like two days u get an idea of which relays are decent. use them as exit points (torrc anyways)

a few other stuff too esp with ubuntu internals, cant remember offhand, but it does work, and becomes stable, none of that 2 kbps to 100kbps nonsense u see in windows , here u get a speed and its consistent, i get 40KBPS steady (havent checked midnite)

anyone heard of a downloader called fatrat?

@ sentix, well no information to go by!!!!

is there such a thing as a quiet womanhuh

if she aint talking, she just isnt in her comfort zone (which for some is infinitely large as to location and circumstance)
or she doesnt think she should be talking to you like that.

women have a motor mouth thing, it comes with the status. for your so-called "quiet girl" just get her in a comfortable place with her friends and you will be surprised at how deep the well of gossip is and how the mouth will not stop running!!!!

the difference is just that some are too foolish as to run their mouth indiscriminately and in the event, pick little of the facts and events going on around them, some are cold and calculating enough to view properly the happenings in detail as to provide more gossip material and possibly get more sense acquired in the while

it is tied to how intelligent the woman is, how many proven smart girls do you know who are overt motor mouths?

typical responses,
"i will join in" yada yada yada. yeah right!!!

well, that would be one hell of a situation, not even to think of the ramifications it will/has had in your lives (the introduction of sexual deviation)

dude, you people just adopt these silly western indoctrination of perversion as being ideal, wonder why the women never join in when they catch their husband going gay!!!

hmmn, well i would simply realise that a major demon has been introduced into our marital bed and it would take all the grace of God to eject it. (realistically, i think that will be end of the marriage)
i sure wont ever touch that woman again, i dont need to be "joined" to a gay spirit, they are pretty strong!!!
and if i had been unknowingly, the grace of God is sufficient to set me free, i was never a willing recruit!! i will seek deliverance asap.

as for mrs wifey, man she is on her own, she knows the true path anyway, her choice to dine with the devil is her choice!!!

Computers › Re: Huawei USB Modem Unlocker - Download Here! by 4llerbuntu(m): 2:42pm On Jun 14, 2010
@ all with modem connection issues go to control panel/internet options/connections. delete every connection you see there
then go to your network connections too, delete every connection there including any tap adapters etc, in short delete evry and anything related to networking profiles,

also go into control panel/phone and modems/ uninstall all modems there, open your modem dashbaord, delete all profiles there.

then reboot your pc, and use your dashboard to create a new profile!

NOTE, zain sims do not automatically come activated for the internet.gprs, profile, ensure your sim is actually activated for it. likewise glo and etisalat!

also note that at times some modems will not dial particular networks!!! eg my mtn modem will not dial Glo no matter what, its not a question of whether its unlocked!!!

Romance › Re: Why Do Nigerian Women Not Respect The Men? by 4llerbuntu(m): 6:54am On Jun 12, 2010
@ topic, its just a reverse form of inferiority complex from women. a lot of women were raised to think that they were in competition with men, as such that engenders all the attitudes of superiority masked as equality. "what a man can do bla bla bla, that statement is the dumbest ever, what bearing does it have to do with anything, men and women are competing now? for what? our worlds are differenttssssk

cast your mind back to schooling days and the girls who were academically competitive, do you remember the attitude and fierce competitive thing esp with the boys, like she had something to prove?
applies mostly to daughters of spiteful, hurt women and single mothers

As an aside, may i ask the question why women feel that in a position of authority, the males have issues with working with them or receiving orders from them?

i say this because i noticed this everyday around me, the women just behave stereotypically about how
the male doesnt want to be under me thingy, it doesnt work like that!!,

the male just wanna size you up first b4 knowing the way to approach working with you. when you start the "devil wears prada" routine without prompting, they compartmentalize you along with other she-devils and act as required
Romance › Re: Disagreement In Relationships by 4llerbuntu(m): 6:40am On Jun 12, 2010
Sweetdoct247:
Differences are separate from arguments. Arguments only ensue when differences are not well managed or handled. No two individuals are the same not even identical twins. Therefore differences are natural parts of relationship unless of course you are getting married to yourself, matured people however always strife to find a common ground. Ability to works thing out without having to resort to abuse or arguments help couples/friends to build a stronger relationship. Working things out at times might mean one party has to keep quiet and let the other win and at times it might mean both parties have to reach a compromise. But dont be decieved you can't both agree on all things. smiley
^ GBAM!! God bless you my brother, the nigerian definition of disagreement is quite funny, personally i think the women like it cos it assuages their desire for drama, and mental stimulation (to culminate in my bf was begging me crap).

if i dont like what you do/did, why is a simple madam i dont want that or like that pls stop it! not enough?, why does there have to be an ensuing drama,"im a person of my own, u too did this and that, dont tell me what to do etc etc."

disagreement and argument aint the same thing. reminds me of a babe i knew once, would tel her on the phone that i didnt like stuff and feel strongly abt it, the babe would then come over to my place and we would spend the day gisting, when she raises the topic, i tell her you know my stand, its not a case for discussion anymore. its either you bend or i forget it. i dont wanna waste my time quarelling.

it was quite amusing one day when she said "i came prepared for a big argument but whenever i come here you dont even sound like the person on the phone, i thot you had issues with bla bla bla" i asked her if she knew my position on the matter? she said yes, so case closed, why must there be drama to get my position across? life is too short.

id rather be alone than be with a woman who wants strife. i like my peace, the fact that we have differences is not a reason to have arguments and cold shoulder periods and all that, even while we have differences we can still rock wella, its called reasonable maturity.

the best way to handle people i have found out is simply to keep quiet, esp on big issues like cheating, u know that i know, you know i will not take it, yet i will not start a scene, talk to you about it etc, you know i dont tolerate it, when i keep on looking at you with the neccesary adjustments like termination of closeness, very soon you will realise that you better eject yourself grin grin grin

ITgurlie:
@ poster even in your home with your siblings sometimes you tend to argue huh huh nothing wrong in that.

In relationships disagreements can occur cos both of you are not perfect lipsrsealed lipsrsealed You both have differences so you have disagreements and then you still end up somewhere whether in favor of one partner or you meet in between smiley smiley
no thats not true!!
i tend to think its simply masochism in people that tend to make them believe that.

i for one will NEVER quarell with you, a woman. why? because i have a huge temper and believe me i can get very scary. i found this out early in life and so for me its a definite no-no for me and a woman to have those, i rebuke the day i will lose my temper with a woman and really lose it, u people forget that tolerance levels are different, if all those wife beaters had learnt to walk away or keep quiet, they wont be bearing those labels today!

of course iv had to deal with ish just cos of my outlook, iv had a girlfriend who left me because "i did not love her as i did not beat her when she did her best to provoke me"

as in really, she actively tried all my trigger points, it was so bad that i left my house to sit outside, she came over to continue right in public, i SAT ON MY HANDS!!!!, mind if you ever saw me lose my temper in other situations with men, then u would understand that i dont wanna be a murderer grin grin grin

why do you derive pleasure from strife? that thing you argue about, the discussion cannot be civil and quiet and achieve the same result? u wanna win an argument and put your partner down? THAT IS PURE MASOCHISM!!!!

so it goes, nigerian women like doing this kinda "test him" thing, they dont like gentle peaceloving men, i dare say they enjoy a slap once in a while so they can do the "victim" role with girlfriend consoling, and then enjoy the he is apologising part. stupidity!!

ARGUMENTS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF DYSFUNCTIONAL AND ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS. abuse may also be mental/emotional. mind a lot of those who like it have upbringing issues too anyway, somehow when growing up, the idea was absorbed that strife is a part of loving.

after making the screenshot, which incidentally you can make easily on windows by pressing the PrtSc button on your keyboard, and then launching paint application under accessories and pasting in the white box, just use ctrl V., then save the screenie, use save as so u can name it.

note that NL has a limit of 200kb size for files

when u click the reply button, inside the dialog box where u type your response, make sure your cursor (or rather the small blinking line) is where you want the shot to be, either b4 or after the typed words, then look under the box, click on the choose file button, navigate the opened explorer box to where u saved your screenie, select it and click ok, then click the reply button.

to start chopping up the roads to lay cables again? to where? are people gonna subscribe b4 the cable is laid to their door?

i ask because gas isnt last mile for anyone yet, but a few years back they were chopping up roads to lay them!

nateevs:
Primarily because your internet access to ISP is not on cable . . .
Your ISP backbone is across the Atlantic. . . None within the country.
They can't offer mind blowing speeds. .

In Japan, it's a normal thing for people to have 30Mbps connection to ISP . .
What Glo will offer is Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) . . .
Many people will even be able to request Fibre to the Premise (FTTP). . . I am talking blinding speeds that make broadband access in the UK look like pre-world war data communications.

While I am not trying to paint the Main One access as inconsequential to the situation now. . . Glo is the only company for now that will bring the evolution. . .
well cannot say i understand you, but way i see it, i cant get on a cable(wired) connection because well my providers are not doing that.
apparently glo MAY do that, (dont hold your breath for that)

but bottomline is what? even OTA i can not get 5-10Mbps?
what about the springing up of localised isp like peacetalk? peacetalk is one run down coy in some parts of ikeja trying to run copper wire into some select areas and give cheaper phone calls etc. or even disc comms. if those ones get a link to say Glo via cable, will they not be able to use their copper lines to give reasonable speeds of course subject to how much bandwidth they purchase?

well as usual this is naija for you, first they were heralding the fibre cables, now we are talking about how it really wont make much difference, TSEEEWWWW!!!!
but for me at home, im not a company, not a bank or whatever, like how much bandwidth or how much speed minimum will make life better for me? do i need to have 30MBps at home?

as i say, techs and politicians are made of the same stuff
Computers › Re: Ubuntu Linux by 4llerbuntu(m): 6:12am On Jun 10, 2010
well never mind, i got this ultra stuff to work on my box, i think the initial problem was after too many experiments on the other box, i must have done something somewhere to mess things up

i will do a clean install today nonetheless. apt-on cd dey give serious liver to dey re-install these days. grin grin grin

now thats the final straw, nothing to even boot windows for anymore, even ultra grin grin grin

NB though i cant remember all the things i have done to that pc, my internet is quite fast now, it just behaves funny.

like yesterday i was trying to download stuff of 70mb, the download mgr was showing 3kbps, i was pissed. i just left it, only to come back 5 mins later and see it had moved 30mb, in 10 mins it was through!!! yet all through it was showing 3kbps!!!
