how come the only OEM you people bash is samsung? you do realize that there are lots of other quality OeMs out there who have even more expensive phones compared with samsung.

Then check ur settings well. The access points etc. You probably have the wrong settings or you have enabled a block setting somewhere.

phones are not designed to be dropped on the ground. most especially slabs.

i doubt the breakage of the glass has anything to do with oem. if u drop it. it will crack. end of.

u see a lot of cracked sammys because there are lots of sammys more than any other oem. i have used quite a few oems and without fail i have cracked every single slab i ever used.

In order to fix the Google Play error [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]
remove the Google account and re-add it.
If there are multiple Google accounts, remove them all

.Close Settings. Next tap on Google Play. Agree to the terms and conditions. When prompted tap on Existong Google Accountand sign in to your Google account.

After this is completed, updates should start working. if they don’t, try restarting the phone.

Once downloads are working, turn on syncing for the Google account.

@note user. it always amuses me when u pple say you are unrooted and running stock like that was such a great thing.

understand this. thats a fat lie on android. most devices are not that good in default config. least of all the note.

you forgot to mention what os version you are on.

anyway the brickbug is not linked to the eMMc chip alone but the kernel misconfig. on the note you should NEVER be on the stock kernel.


advice for you is to flash a LT6 jellybean stock rom then flash philz safe kernel. (because apparently u are a great believer in stock)

what u are getting is called Sleep Of Death. way to manage it is to make sure your minimun kernel frequency is 200mhz and where it happens u boot into CWM recovery and wipe dalvik cache and cache.

u should boot up then.

my recommendation tho is to go to xda and download the latest thaidai deodexed stock rom and flash with philz kernel. then flash COH kernel after a reboot.

u wont get issues with this and u get the best performance on a stock rom on the note
keep the rom .zip on sdcard and if any issue arises u simply reboot into recovery and do a dirty flash and all ur stuff will be intact when u boot up.

android dev is not just because pple tinker but to solve live issues.
