Which "history" are you referring to when you compare the Bundesliga with the EPL? Based on history,England has produced the European Champions on 9 occasions.Germany has done so only 5 times,Bayern on 4 occasions(talk about being competitive)

Never mind that England had to suffer the Heysel problem at a time when they were by far the dominant force in Europe.In the 10 years leading to the Heysel suspension,English clubs made it to 8 finals-winning 6 and losing 2.Imagine what would have happened if not for English hooligans.

For those who are now bleating that England's reemergence is simply down to money,when England was clearing trophies in Europe back in the 70s ,where were Roman Abramovich,Sinawatra,Rupert Murdoch,e.t.c? When the Italian and Spanish leagues were wealthier than the EPL,in the 90s,signing some of the best and most expensive players,you didn't see these same people complaining?

There used to be a time,in the 90s,when no English club could compete with the top Italian and Spanish clubs financially for the likes of Zidane,Luis Figo or Rui Costa;you didn't see these people bleating.

With regards to the question of the best league in Europe,I still think La Liga edges it.This is a league where the likes of Real and Barca struggle to hit the 80 point mark.

I believe the EPL has just edged past the Serie A.I watch the Serie A regularly and anybody who doesn't see how bad the situation has gotten needs help.Look at the points total Inter garnered last season,their closest rival has been AS Roma of all teams.Look at how bad Lazio were in the UCL.Does anyone think Fiorentina can compete respectably in the Champions League?

As for the Bundesliga,not much needs to be said.There is a reason they are allowed only 3 representatives in the Champions League(alongside Portugal and France).
