My problem with Larson is this.Most of his legend is based on what he did at Celtic,I do not hold the Scottish League in high regard.He did have a succesful cameo role at Barca but it was only that,a cameo role.

If you look beyond his time at Celtic,his record is not that spectacular.36 goals in 93 games for Sweded.Berbatov of Spurs has scored 34 goals in 54 for Bulgaria.Even Van Persie has a better goals ratio for his national team not to talk of Van Nistlerooy.

At Feyernood,his record was similarly uninspiring.At Barca,he scored about 10 goals in 41 games(Solsjkaer this season has scored 10 goals for Utd in 21 games)

So it all boils down to what he did at Celtic in a league that is hardly top quality.Fowler at least was one of the best strikers that graced the Premiership in his early days at Liverpool.

What I have learnt from this is that many people on NL started watching the Premiership relatively recently.They don't remember the 90s when Fowler was one of the best finishers in the biz

Lampard a.k.a deflection is an enigma.He does well for Chelsea but has repeatedly failed to deliver at national level

He might be leaving in the summer since Chelski has failed to offer him a new contract.I heard he can leave for £8.5 million.

What about Larsson.His record at national level is not that spectacular and at Celtic he was playing at a mediocre league.I know he had a few good cameo spells for Barca but I don't see what the fuss is about.

I think he didn't play enough at the top level to deserve the accolades coming his way.From his performances at national level,I would say he is above average but not one of the best of his generation.He is not even on the level of Robbie Fowler

It was convenient that just as Larsson was leaving,Alan Smith is returning.The last time we won the league,we had only 3 strikers in the squad for the whole season(Ruud,Solsjkaer,Forlan),so we can manage the last 9 games with a similar amount.

I think we are going to be knocked out by Boro in the Q/F but that won't pain me soo much as long we win the Premiership

Nobody has mentioned the fact that Alex,the PSV defender is a Chelsea player

That is what I mean by MFs(short for midfielders)

I think it was wrong to play Gilberto in defence while leaving Djourou on the bench.Remember when Pires ,Ljunberg used to help with the goals from Midfield,nobody is doing that now.

Alot of goals used to come from Henry in his prime but now he is shadow of his former self.You need a couple of quality strikers .I heard on the radio about a potential bid for Etoo,that might help

You can't score because you don't have quality strikers(Van Persie and Henry are injured) available and your midfielders are not bearing the goals burden .

I mentioned earlier that Fabregas does not offer a goals threat.The other MFs are not contributing at all.

The players are not pragmatic,they play football with a view to entertain and Wenger should get them to understand not to take too many touches as they attack.The longer you pass the ball around,the quicker your opponents can organise their defence
