oyb:Let me give you a simple task, find anywhere on this thread where I've insisted that a PHD is the sole criteria. If you can't find one, you have to admit you are a first grade oaf. is soludo not a graduate of your institution ?And Soludo doesn't have impeccable academic credentials? |
Mr Meirelles earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from University of São Paulo in 1972, and an MBA from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - Coppead, 1974. He also attended Harvard Business School for post-graduate management work and has an honorary degree from Bryant College in Rhode Island. He spent most of his working career at BankBoston, becoming President of BankBoston Brazil from 1984 to 1996. In 1996 he became the President and Chief Operating Officer of BankBoston Corporation and in 1999 was named President of Global Banking for FleetBoston Financial. He has also held academic council positions at various American universities such as Harvard University and Boston College.Olodo, you think the above is at par with this: He graduated with a B.Sc in Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, in 1981 and obtained a masters degree in Sharia and Islamic studies from the International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan. You need serious help. |
@Oyb I suppose if you are a graduate of UNILORIN, you have to console yourself that you are as much a graduate as the Cambridge/Harvard/Yale graduates you keep copying and pasting their profiles. Graduating from these institutions is a stellar academic achievement . . . far better than ABU. You need to get out that cesspit called Nigeria to get your head straight. |
oyb:Nigerian academic standards are very poor. In a country that has produced PHDs from some of the world's best institutions, why are we using someone from ABU Zaria? Your absurd attempts to compare Harvard graduates to ABU graduates makes me laugh. And you wonder why the country is so crap. Like I noted earlier, either a PHD or impeccable academic standards. In the West, graduates of history, classics and literature often run major financial institutions with one caveat, they are top notch talents from world class institutions. Sanusi is clearly not any of these. |
@oYB You are always a dumbo. A PHD or impeccable academic credentials. Volcker and Greenspan(don't think Greenspan has one either)have impeccable credentials. Don't tell me ABU compares with Harvard/Princeton. |
MrCrackles:There are many Nigerian holders of PHD(Economics) from Ivy league institutions. Loads of them. It's bizarre to appoint a BSC from ABU when you have far more qualified people. Obviously, having talent isn't enough in itself, look at Soludo, but it's a necessity for such a role. |
Let's face it, if Sanusi was in the UK or the US, he won't make it pass branch manager with his academic credentials: Read this and weep: He graduated with a B.Sc in Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, in 1981 and obtained a masters degree in Sharia and Islamic studies from the International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan.I dare say you need a PHD to be a Central Bank Governor or at the very least, impeccable academic credentials. It's the same thing with our Supreme Court, full of mediocre talents. |
all footballers are,is it not that old man mikel obi that is claiming under2
Under2! That's the height of age cheating. |
Worst Juve side I've seen in years. Like ritchboy noted, what's the big deal if one shyte team beats another shyte team? Looked like Championship football . . . . for God's sake, Bordeaux finished top of that group. |
This is a silly suggestion. The minimum wage can't be set at N200,000 simply because the economy isn't large enough to support that level of wages. Simple thought experiment, multiply your suggested wage by the number of working people in Nigeria and compare the result with size of the economy. |
MrCrackles:Please Lord, Bayern vs Arsenal for 2nd round. Someone will have to eat his words. |
Supposedly, his school record at Holy Ghost Secondary School Owerri states that he was born in 1971 which makes him 38. This means that when he was lifting the Under-17 World Cup in 1993, he was actually 22. |
I heard Kanu is on the wrong side of 70 . . . . serious! |
yeswecan:Complete dross and a red herring. 'Value judgements' are made on the basis of an almost infinite number of things: class, ideology, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, education, e.t.c. The fact that religion can be used as a reason for evil is besides the point. What marks Islamofasicsm out is the sheer evil it has come to represent consistently going back centuries. To paint religion as a whole with the same brush is relativism gone mad. |
Ibime:Capitalism and socialism are not two equally effective ideologies. Socialism has been historically proven to be a bankrupt ideology. The real question is what manner of capitalism nation states should adopt. A free wheeling capitalist society where the state's intervention is kept to the barest minimum or one where the state plays an active role in smoothing over the weaknesses of the capitalist system. Hype over Nkrumah, Nyerere and Awo . . . . . products of personality cults IMHO. |
The current fall of the dollar is good for the US economy and is probably happening with the acquiescence of the Fed. Gold is rising because of fears over future inflation. PS: This should be in the foreign affairs section. |
edoyad:Bordeaux are French league champions. |
Can't Arsenal beg the FA to allow them be the 5th team in the Semis. Like Ireland asking to be the 33rd team at the World Cup. |
dayokanu:They've all got a direct line to MJ's doctor. Knows one or two things about putting people to sleep. |
All quiet here from Gayners . . . might have something to do with being humiliated 3-0 by City. |
edoyad:Ahead of such mighty European giants as AZ Alkmaar and Standard Liege. You sure did show them, didn't you? |
edoyad:Ever since Martin Taylor(God bless him) 'fine tuned' Eduardo's leg, he's probably lost his drive. |
Eboue and Silvestre are the most underated players in that Arsenal squad. Eboue is far better than Fabregas, IMHO. |
medube:They should reduce their squad then. No need disrupting the game with a potential 8 substitutions( 4 either way). |
medube:Injuries can be faked to get a 4th or 5th sub on. |
akinalabi:Lorazepam , midazolam , diazepam and propofol. Arsenal fans have got Michael Jackson's doctor to put them to sleep. |
dayokanu:Trophyless(the award winning series) is in season 5. Emmys anyone? |
Several pills of Valium.
Lorazepam (Ativan), midazolam , diazepam (Valium) and propofol. Arsenal fans have got Michael Jackson's doctor to put them to sleep. |
HNIC:Just trying to help, must be suffocating having your head up your arse all the time. |
davidylan:Arsenal will finish in the top 4, I'm certain of that. Likely 3rd place. The problem for Arsenal is that they if they carry on with the policy of not being bold in the transfer market, they will eventually drop out of the top 4. Not this season though.
Where they are on the table means shit. The thing is. . . . .Citeh disgraced Arsenal. . .again!!! There's no excuse for this pile of self-service.
Gayners shouldn't even be comparing themselves with City City vs Utd (S/F) |
BlueDiva:You dey mind that HNIC. Head so up his arse, I wonder how he is still typing. |
eleshin:What did their first 11 do against City? Ass whupping, whoever they field. |
