Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-23
INTRODUCTION:-
Resurrection is the precursory event or forerunner to the rapture of the saints. Many believers confuse reincarnation with resurrection. In our study today, we will discuss basic differences between the two and what Jesus, Himself, said about resurrection.
The Bible teaches resurrection not reincarnation
• The Bible teaches that man is a spirit Gen. 1:27, John 4:24. He possesses a soul Gen. 2:7, Lev. 17:11. And he lives in a body – the incarnation Gen. 2:7, John 1:1 & 14, 1 Thess. 5:23.
• Reincarnation teaches that man lives several lives in different bodies. A man in his reincarnations can be a woman, an animal, a fish or even a plant.
• Resurrection teaches that man has only one body from birth to eternity. At the resurrection to life everlasting, that same body will be glorified when we will be clothed with immortality. 1 Cor. 15:42-44, 53-54.
• Resurrection teaches that God’s dealing with man is based on just one life in his body while on earth; not different lives lived in different bodies.
• Reincarnation teaches that man dies several times and still has several chances to come back in another body to do what is right, but resurrection teaches that man dies but once. Heb. 9:27.
• Reincarnation teaches that the life we now live is merely a continuation from where we stopped in a former life, while resurrection teaches that when we die; we face an initial judgment that decides our eternal destination: heaven or hell Heb. 9:27; Luke 16:22-23.
What Did Jesus Tell Martha About Resurrection (John 11:24-25)?
When Jesus came to resurrect Lazarus to life, Martha told Him that Lazarus’s resurrection can only happen at the rapture; meaning that they were not believers of reincarnation, but of resurrection. Then, said Jesus: I am the resurrection and the life. What does this mean?
• Recurrection is not a day, but a person. Resurrection does not happen because a day comes, but because a person is present. If we do not treat Jesus the right way here, there is no hope for us on the resurrection day. 1 Thess. 4:16-17.
• It is a present resurrection that gives birth to a future resurrection- at the rapture. The present resurrection is being called to be born again. That is when Jesus comes into your life and brings your dead spirit back to life. Eph. 2:1; 2Corinthians 5:17.
CONCLUSION:-
A day does not resurrect, but a person – Jesus does. If Jesus is not in you now, do not expect to be resurrected to life at the rapture because He is not coming back for you.

INTRODUCTION:
Divorce is one of the major problems facing homes today. Divorce is granted to the unbelievers for many reasons such as adultery, cruelty, desertion, drunkenness, neglect to provide, conviction of crime, separation, bigamy, incompatibility etc. However, is divorce permissible for Christians? Let us approach this lesson by attempting to answer a number of questions.

SOME COMMON QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Is there any scriptural ground for divorce?
There is one and only one reason and that is fornication (Matthew 19:9). What does the word "fornication" mean in this passage? The basic meaning is illicit sexual relationship with a third party. However, the "innocent partner" should be ready to forgive the "guilty partner" (Matthew 6:14-15, Proverbs 28:13). Divorce was not in the original plan of God for human beings.
2. How long is a marriage contract?
The answer is simply, until death breaks it (Matthew 19:6). In marriage, God performs a miracle when two individuals become one person. Only God is permitted to break that union by taking one of the partners in death.
3. Can the 'innocent partner' in a divorce re-marry?

(a). Divorce represents a tragedy that has undermined the home, the very basis of society.
(b). Misery always follows in its path, broken homes, bruised and broken hearts, bewildered, homeless children, delinquent youth, loneliness, tears and at times suicide or insanity.
(c). The couple should consider the welfare of the children who would suffer most and the shame connected with divorce and the scandal that it engenders.
(d). Many Christians look at divorce as sinful, regardless of the circumstances because it is a public admission of utter failure which belittles the power of Christ (Philippians 4:13).
(e). Economic disaster often follows divorce and it is the cause of lack of love and happiness in marriage.

COUNSEL FOR PARTNERS IN A SHAKY MARRIAGE
Let both husbands and wives solemnly renew their vow "for better or for worse till death do us part". Let each get right with the Lord and then with one another. Confession and repentance with mutual sharing would make any marriage a success. Let them spend time in prayer individually and as a couple (James 5:6). Let the husband be the actual head of the home and not merely a figurehead (1Timothy 5:. Let the wives be subject to their husbands (Ephesians 5:24). Let husbands and wives continually woo each other because each needs a great deal of affection. Married couples should continuously ask God for a holy love for each other (1Corinthians 7:5).

CONCLUSION:
Can there be love when there is no respect? The answer is yes, for God loves the unlovely sinner, whom He cannot respect. Love that is unselfish and godly can be deep and powerful even with those whom we cannot respect. With such a love, our marriages would last for life (1Peter 4:. Let us pray for such divine love.

Days later, his so called mother called her and begged her to help her calm her son down that he's angry with her she was curious to kno what happened from the son who told her that he doesn't know how come his atm with his mother got expired and how he's afraid that some crooks have swapped the atm while "trying to help his mother withdraw money from the atm" he couldnt do anything cus he wasn't with his phone. He later agreed to calm down and asked my friend to help them out with the small money (about 50k). My friend sent 25k and this was the beginig of extortions. Meanwhile her pastor told her the day the atm issue happened that something isnt right about that man and he may be a 419. She didn't take it to hrt.

(CNN) - Pope Francis baptized a Nigerian migrant -- who shot to fame after confronting a thief on the streets of Rome -- as part of Saturday's Easter service. In September last year, migrant John Ogah, 31, had been begging outside a supermarket in Rome when he confronted a thief, who was armed with a meat cleaver and attempting to steal money from the store. Ogah was heralded a hero by the Italian press, and on Saturday was one of eight people baptized by the Pope at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. Ogah was also one of thousands of Nigerian migrants who reached Italy last year after traveling to Libya and catching a smuggler's boat across the Mediterranean. The Police in Taraba state have saved one Alhaji Yakubu Atiku from kidnappers and killed five suspects set to perpetrate the act. The suspects had stormed Atiku’s home in Garba-Chede, Gassol Local Government Area of the state late on Friday night, when the police were called in. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, the police killed five of the attackers, the spokesman of the command, ASP David Misal, said at a news conference on Saturday in Jalingo.

Misal said: 
“ The operatives attached to Bali Division on March 30 at 2300 hrs engaged a group of armed men suspected to be kidnappers and armed robbers.
“The hoodlums on the same date invaded the residence of one Alhaji Yakubu Atiku of Garba-Chede in an attempt to kidnap him.“The report was received with swift reaction from our operatives which led to an exchange of fire from both sides.
“With the superior fire power of our gallant officers, five members of the gang were shot dead while others escaped with bullet wounds,” he said.The spokesman said one AK47 rifle, one pump action, two single barrel guns, 16 cartridges, three expended 7.62mm ammunition, two expended cartridges and assorted charms were recovered from the suspects. He assured that the police would leave no stone unturned until they reduced the nefarious acts of kidnapping and armed robbery to the barest minimum as directed by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr David Akinremi. Misal appealed to members of the public to always report criminal acts to the police for effective service delivery.

INTRODUCTION:
Families are the bedrock of society. When families fall apart, society falls into social and cultural decline. The plan of God for divinely instituted homes is for them to remain united in body and in spirit (Psalm 133:1). A broken home is a family in which the parents are separated or divorced. It is also a family that is set apart due to tension and certain problems.
Unless you live in complete isolation, you have seen a broken home. It may be the family of a friend, relative or your own home. Hardly anything perplexes and discourages us more than broken homes. The Bible talks a lot about broken homes and we should, too.

WHY ARE SO MANY HOME BROKEN?
Many of us attribute the problem of broken homes to recent cultural shifts (the decline of religion and morality). However, the reasons so many homes are broken may include but are not limited to the following: wrong choice in marriage (Proverbs 21:9,19; 19:13), parental or friends influence (Genesis 2:24; Proverbs 13:20) and lack of genuine sacrificial love (1John 3:16; Romans 5:7-. Communication breakdown is also responsible for many broken homes today (Matthew 5:37). Sexual unfaithfulness to ones wife or husband has caused lots of broken homes (Hebrews 13:4; Hosea 2:2). Others include stinginess/meanness. Improper money management is equally not good for any home (1Timothy 6:10). Preference for a child at the expense of others (Genesis 25:28), time consuming jobs are not good for the family (Psalm 127:2; Proverbs 31:14-15) and worldly pleasures (1John 2:15).

EFFECTS AND REMEDY FOR BROKEN HOMES
Broken homes often lead to husbands abandoning their spouses and children. Wives walk out of their husband's lives and leave children with devastated emotions. Single mothers give birth to children with no marriage and no father-image for support and guidance.
What can spouses do when their partners walk out? What can children do when their parents abadon them? Here are some solutions:
1. Commit everything to God in prayer (Psalm 127:1; Psalm 50:15).
2. Stop and consider that God is greater than any difficulty (Jeremiah 32:27).
3. Embrace the fact that Jesus loves you (Romans 5:8; Matthew 11:28-30).
4. Ask God to make you a better person in the present circumstances (Psalm 51:10).
5. Seek the help of other Christians (Proverbs 11:14).
6. Learn to forgive and seek reconciliation/restoration (Ephesians 4:32; Romans 12:18; Isaiah 57:18).
7. Be patient to meet your spouse at their point of need (Ecclesiates 7:8; 1Corinthians 7:10).

CONCLUSION:
Do your best to be the kind of spouse, parent or child God wants you to be, but never take your eyes off of the One who actually holds your family's future.

An Indian woman has been arrested for the murder of a 5-year-old girl in India. Anita Waghela, 22, lured five-year-old Anjali Saroj with chocolates, then kidnapped and strangled her to death in a women¡¯s toilet at Navsari railway station in Gujarat.
