candy: Three years is too early to give up sis, there are couples who waited on the Lord for 20yrs and I strongly believe yours will not be like that!

If you don't want to go to the hospital, buy #20 PT test strip and test your urine in the privacy of your room, once it shows positive you just follow up with a routine pelvic scan. If you don't confirm it and you are truly pregnant(like I hope and pray), you stand the risk of losing it with anxiety.

All the best, and don't forget to share your testimony o!
God bless you candy. I had told myself I won't do a test, I will just wait and see, but I will take your advice and buy the OTC test strip. I am so scared, I really hope it's + this time. I am tired and fed up of disappointment. I never knew it would be this difficult. We have been trying since 2009 even before we got married in 2011.
I have begged God for a miracle before 2013 passes, I hope this is his promise coming to pass.
I will test and update the house tomorrow.

So you support equality? U seem not to be in full grasp of reality here. In real life women are seem as furniture and glorified housemaid, wake up n smell d coffee.

flawless..S:
some men are selfish and self centered and thinks the female folks are lesser beings. Am not married yet but when I do the bills will be split and also some house work.
My dear, you can't plan for what you will encounter in marriage, it is dynamic and you have to steer with the tide. Just make sure you marry your best friend and an open minded individual.
A woman is meant to support a man, and a man is meant to love his wife. If your hubby gets broke, the onus lies on you to hold the family and get him back to his feet. This is the women's liberation I preach. Get a job, make money as a woman, because if your husband dies 2mrw, God forbids, who will you run too? Another man?
FamilyRe: Open Challenge! Show Me One Recent Notable Feminist Who Had A Great Marriage by 4teelaw(f): 10:47am On Dec 28, 2013
dinachi: I take this to mean there is none, right?

This post is just to show the injurious nature of feminism to marriage. And your post just prove me right. A lot of people have great marriages until feminist ideologies show up!
Chauvinism speaking! Dude, go and fry plantain, I can't bet you are not even married. Come back to this post when u r married. There are no great marriages! Each marriage is unique and both parties have to respect each other and compromise to make it work.
By the way, call me a feminist, I fight for female liberation and empowerment, I carry out women related projects and I have a very supportive husband who helps me on my projects and polishes my ideas.

I also support his endeavours, and I can give me last drop to encourage his passion. It's about compromise and understanding. Look at Hilary Clinton with over 30 years in marriage. I have known my hubby 8 years now, so I have a head start and I believe I can speak from experience, unlike you.

kITA TITA: Only a genuine pregnancy test van confirm. But even if it turns out negative, keep believing. God commanded us to increase and multiply; feel the earth and subdue it. You will surely see your own children.
Science and medicine have improved overtime. You And your husband should visit good fertility clinics where you can do comprehensive medical examination to investigate your case.

God be with you.
God bless you for this encouragement. Thanks
FamilyAm I Pregnant? by 4teelaw(op): 8:40am On Dec 28, 2013
I have been married for a about 3 years now and been trying TTC. After numerous fertility treatments we finally gave up and stopped trying. I even preferred hubby and I should start living like sister and brother now to avoid any expectations and disappointment.

I have an irregular cycle, so I felt I should treat the cycle issue first with a foreign herbal formula my aunty gave me. It was prescribed for her by her doc since we are in the same boat. My hubby saw the drugs lying about one day and raised hell, but when he googled the drug, he saw that it could aid conception if used for up to 6 months, but it focuses on regulating cycles so he gave me 5k to go and buy 2 months supply.

I have used the drug for just a month now, but I am now feeling funny. I have had cramps off and on now for a few days, and
AF has gone awol (as usual). I remember I ovulated this month (billings method, but it is not foolproof is it?)
My major problem is this cramping, as if my waist is on fire. I am scared to do a PT for fear of another disappointing BFN. It has refused to leave me alone or let AF come. Mothers in the house, is this cramping normal? Or should I just go to a hospital.
FamilyRe: Can She Abort Pregnancy Because Of Church Wedding? by 4teelaw(f): 8:22am On Dec 28, 2013
annyplenty: SHE is the daughter of a pastor whose church kicks against marriage with pregnancy. Her wedding is in a month's time and the invitations for the church wedding are out and have been circulated.
Now the doctor confirmed her to be one month pregnant. she wants the pregnancy terminated so that she can do the church wedding but her husband-to-be kicked against her intention. he insisted that he can not kill his baby because of wedding and that he will not show up for the wedding if the woman aborts the pregnancy. the woman also insists that she also will not do a church wedding with pregnancy. both of them have not reached an agreement despite the fact the wedding arrangement is still going on. their is confusion. please, advise on what you think they should do.
Then do not do a wedding till after the baby is born! Ikoyi registry has not closed na! They exist for cases such as yours as well

FashionRe: The Issue Of Pairing Leggings With A Short Top by 4teelaw(f): 1:55pm On Dec 26, 2013
Vincad: I recently noticed that so many people have begun wearing leggings with short tops. It really bugs me and I don't know why. Some people go as far as tucking in their tops.
Leggings should be paired with a top that is long enough to cover your derriere but shouldn't be so long that it can touch your knees. Once it touches your knees it's practically a gown.
So,who else shares this view?
In other words, leggings should be worn with a tunic. It was tiwa savage that introduced ds short top on leggings matter o
And it is so disgusting
TravelRe: Fiancee Visa OR Spouse Visa - Which Of This Approach Is Better? by 4teelaw(f): 7:14pm On Dec 17, 2013
KnightDaakins: Hello Guys,
Am fairly new though not completely a stranger to NAIRALAND. I currently have a challenge of what approach will be better especially since I am a complete newbie to Visa Applications Issues and Processes.
I am here to solicit advice from more experienced NAIRALANDERS. Here is my story.
About 18 months ago, I met this beautiful lady online on a christian dating site and we are both in love with one another. She is a United States citizen from Louisiana. I have decided to marry her. I am well acquainted with her family and she mine. We speak everyday over the phone or on video chats. My problem right now is that I don't know which approach can be more successful; either the path of the Fiancee Visa OR Spouse Visa. I know that in both scenarios, we have to meet physically. To this end, we've both agreed that she come to Nigeria next year to visit me.
Although, at the moment, we are considering the option of the fiancee visa which requires her to write to the USCIS office for a fiancee visa for me; hence her coming next year for a visit, to proof that we've met in person.
Please, I sincerely solicit the advice of everyone who know this stuff quite well to advice me. I'll be most grateful for your contributions.
Both Visas are difficult to get! If you can, arrange for a B1/B2 visa (2 years visiting visa) it is much easier if you follow the right steps. Why don't you invite her over to Nigeria for a few days so that you can get to know each other and decide if you really want to get hooked. Some oyibos are psychos. if you watch Crime and Investigation Channel in DSTV you will rethink travelling to US.
TravelRe: Share Your Experience: The Longest Journey You've Ever Made. by 4teelaw(f): 6:47pm On Dec 17, 2013
Lagos - New York via London, 24hours biological clock time!
I have also done Benin - Maiduguri, 2 days because I slept in Abuja, was able to enjoy the scenery of Jos, Kaduna, Bauchi, Yobe grin

Yer, in 2010, I was stranded in Spain during the infamous Ash Cloud (due to my own stubborness). I needed to be in London urgently, Heathrow was closed, no airline flew that route only Iberia, so I jumped on board, and ended up in Madrid for 2 days, no bath, no change of clothes! When Heathrow finally opened, I succumbed to sleep and missed the first flight to London. When we finally got to London, there was Eko market at the airport we had to sit on the floor waiting through passport control.

Looking back now, it was worth the experience, at least I have a story to tell. cheesy

This wasn't land dispute matter. The man killed was the only witness in a murder case against a former leader of the Ilajes, in Bariga area.
The murdered guy is 36 yrs old segun ogbere, also known as shaggy, leader of shaggy boys. He was killed by Balogun, aka Small Jaypron members of a rival gang known as Downtown boys.

chinebu: Ok we appreciate you brother and I have this question that has been bothering me.

Pls I have interest in buying treasury bills from the CBN but all my effort to get the right contact has not yeilded much result.

Can you share more light here for those who are interested to invest wether it is profitable for now or not.

Thanks
The last time I checked treasury bills were going for 11% (Oct 18) for 90 days and 12% for 1year.
You can contact your bank and inform them of your interest in purchasing TBills. Usually there is a bid every 2weeks (thursdays) and they can help you invest. Usually, you have the opportunity to earn your interest upfront when purchasing TBills. But if you will prefer higher interest rates, there are some CBN licensed NBFIs who can provide higher rates than what is obtainable from Banks and TBills

Hello all,
I have been stalking this investment section for a while now, and I have noticed how people try to mislead other people regarding how, when and what to invest in.
So, I will offer my services here as a professional investment banker, and I will answer and advise to the best of my ability. Actually, your decision to invest is totally yours but financial advisory guidance here and there will not hurt.
I represent some international investment and philanthropy organizations, and function as their eyes and ears on ground, so I can at least advise you from an international perspective, and if I don't have answers to your questions now, I can make enquiries on your behalf and get back to you.

House Rules: I will not provide free personalised services, if you need me to monitor your books, clean up your accounts or source for the best investment opportunities, you will have to pay.

I may not always respond to Pms, but be rest assured I can give the best possible advice in public.

Thanks

can someone please expatiate more on the treasure bill ish

My mum is retiring next year....and I want her to have a good life after that
Treasury bill rates fluctuate, you need to monitor it before you invest, in as much as it is the safest, there are other investment opportunities that yield higher returns than the banks can offer and are still regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria
InvestmentRe: Any Viable Investment For Intending Retiree With Little Or No Supervision by 4teelaw(f): 11:00am On Oct 19, 2013
speedyboi: @Op, your life after retirement isn't something to play on. Coming on Nairaland will only confuse you!

The best option for you is to get a very reputable business consultant. Even a good business consultant won't be able to help you online! You will have to see face to face....there are several things to consider before venturing into a (retirement) business. Eg. The kinda job you are retiring from, your real passion, your location, your capital, your own personal retirement plans (which you must have had long before you decided to retire), feasibility studies etc....

Unfortunately, Nigerians prefer to seek business advice elsewhere rather than consult business professionals.

Op..it's your choice; you can decide to follow one of the various advice you've been given (venture into agric, estate, shop etc....) OR visit consultants who can help you make the right decisions.

the ball is in your court

#NuffSaid
#OkBye
Yes o! Please tell them, they think it is too expensive paying for financial advisory services from consultants like us. If you lose all your money, then you will know we are a lot cheaper in the long run, Hire me now and have the peace of mind you require

drkay: My mum seriously need dis advice too, her 5 million naira pension is yielding just 250k per year which I think is suboptimal. I can convince her if I see a better investment.
That is less than 10% p.a!!! I am an Investment Banker and I can authoritatively tell you you can get a lot better than that from some Investment Institutions I represent. Let me know if you need my services.
