FamilyRe: Theory Of The Modern Wife by 4tunebest(f):
greatgod2012: I'm tired of seeing everything that has to do with women being related to feminism!
Honestly, you can say that again. I wonder how being a modern wife translates to being a feminist. Are all modern women feminists?Aren't there modern women who easily submit to their husbands? Submission from a wife can only be EARNED, It can't be forced. Even if you force submission out of a woman, it won't last.

A real man earns the submission of his wife, so she finds it easy to submit to him. Only a weakling tries to force submission out of his wife. Such weaklings aren't deserving of being called the head of a home

FamilyRe: How Do YOU Define Success? by 4tunebest(f):
Success is simply discovering God's purpose for your life and fulfilling it.

There is an emptiness in the life of every man that only purpose can fill. Amassing the wealth, fame and power in the whole wide world without fulfilling the main purpose for which one was created, is still tantamount to failure.

"Let the list be out already"

May be i am a slow poke and my understanding level is below par.

Thanks
It is another way of saying the list should have been out by now... Way before now. For example when a deadline is fast approaching and you are yet to make up your mind on something, you could be told that ''Mr Johnugwu, make up your mind already!"

FamilyRe: Ladies And Societal Pressure by 4tunebest(f): 6:15pm On Jun 27, 2014
Society has convinced most
women that the pinnacle of
their existence revolves
around marriage to a man and
bearing his children.

That is the reason we see so many
desperate women getting married to the
next available man and cry later in their
marital relationship.

Please, Abeg, It is time you begin to think
high about yourself and tell yourself that
you are complete. In as much as you
need a partner, let go of the idea or
thought that you are not complete if you
do not have a mate.
When he/she comes along, he/she will
complement you.

He/she will come as an addition, a plus to
you and not to complete you because
God made u a complete person.

Lets not out of desperation and seeking
for "completeness" fall into the wrong
hands and regret.
Perfectly stated

FoodRe: Best Way To Process Soybean To Avoid Negative Effects by 4tunebest(f): 10:28pm On Jan 10, 2014
Soaking(overnight) reduces the antinutrients after which you can carry out the steps you mentioned. Unfortunately this process is quite tedious for commercial production.

Roasting, crackmilling, winnowing(to remove the hulls), grinding is the technique used for large scale production

Whichever method is convenient for you

FoodRe: How To Make Coconut Oil? by 4tunebest(f): 9:26pm On Jan 10, 2014
Extract coconut juice by blending with warm water.
Filter it using a tiny hole sieve
Add some warm water to the shaft to completely extract the juice from it;
Subject the filtrate (coconut juice) to medium heat on your gas cooker/stove
Do not stir
Coconut oil will rise to the top of the boilling juice after several minutes
Scoop it with a spoon to your desired container
Leave for few minutes and scoop again.
Continue to scoop off the oil until none appears on the surface after boiling for 5 minutes. It means all the oil in the juice hs been scooped off.

It is adviceable to start with a lot of coconut juice in order to get a considerable amount of oil

Every thing you encounterd after that 'act' (The smoke from the ground, the creature, etc) and other weird stuff happens in the spiritual anytime one indulges in such secret sin, but you were just privileged to see it with your natural eyes. That wasnt the first time smoke came from the ground but that was the first time your spiritual eyes were opened to see the consequences of your act.

Thank God it's all in the past

ebuetor: of how powerful it is to command the ground on which you walk on ,to favour, to be a blessing, to be good to you, everymorning, while praying. Not only the ground, the air and water. Wen i knew these truth,my life transformed. But THEY will call it craziness. Thankyou zeb.

FoodRe: What Is The Healthiest Cooking Oil You Use? by 4tunebest(f): 10:19pm On Jan 07, 2014
Yield: Canola oil and olive oil are both cheap, but not healthy. Coconut oil trumps both.
I would have stated my opinion on the quoted part of your post but I dont engage in 'e-arguments'. It is a free world my sister, to each one his own.
Christianity EtcRe: Blood Oath Repercussions??? by 4tunebest(f): 10:04pm On Jan 07, 2014
As I mentioned in the other thread, there is no oath/covenant that can not be broken, blood covenant inclusive. You have a new covenant in the blood of Jesus when you accept HIM as your Lord and Saviour. This renders the previous covenant null and void because whoever the Son sets free is free INDEED.

Even the captives of the mighty shall be delivered
FoodRe: What Is The Healthiest Cooking Oil You Use? by 4tunebest(f): 9:43pm On Jan 07, 2014
Yield: Canola oil isn't healthy for cooking. Olive oil isn't either; it's much
healthier to put it in food without heating it. When cooking with
oil, Coconut oil IS the healthiest oil to use.
Although coconut oil is low in cholesterol, it isnt healthier than canola or olive oil which are much lower in cholesterol. Any oil which is extremely high in saturated fat as coconut oil isnt heart friendly and so, isnt considered healthy

Whao! This is very creative. I could feel the Joy of fatherhood radiate through every statement in this post. Portharcourt fineboy you are lucky to have a loving dad. Please be an obedient child throughout your formative years and when you grow up to be a full-fledged man, make it a priority to take care of this wonderful dad of yours in his old age.

20 years from now, you would have been mature enough to take decisions by yourself and you would definitely experience peer pressure. Your dad wont be the perfect dad and disagreements are bound to happen; whenever you are tempted to call his bluff, just remember 20 something years ago when he came to Nairaland to show you off to the world. I hope Nairaland wont have gone into extinction by then for you to search out this topic from their data base. He is proud of you, do not disappoint him.

firestar: Canola oil I've discovered, is economical.
Moringa too.
Canola oil is actually the best (same in rank or second, only to olive oil). It has a very high smoke point; much better than soybean oil.

FoodRe: What Is The Nutritional Benefit(s) Of This Dish (picture) by 4tunebest(f): 9:30pm On Jan 06, 2014
It is good that the plantain is boiled and not fried. Boiling it in its skin helps preserve the nutrients. Frying alters the chemical components and structure which isnt very good for the body.

White yam is carbohydrate and it has a high glycemic index (rapidly elevates blood sugar level after consumption. Sugar from the diet is supposed to be released slowly into the blood stream) . Why not replace the yam with sweet potato. It is more nutritous than yam and rich in beta-carotene which is an antioxidant. This prevents/fights carcinogenic cells in the body.

Palm oil. Hmmmmm why not vegetables instead?

Salt is okay in the absence of high blood pressure

idprincess: She studied micro biology. She is currently managing a printing and plastic bottle manufacturing company for a family friend.
Thank God that she has found something doing. I understand that she cant be there forever but Is she dissatisfied/unfulfilled with the job? Does she want to practice ONLY microbiology? Is she underemployed? If that describes it, Is she looking towards acquiring a skill to help complement her income?, or acquiring a second degree?

The reason 'am asking these questions is because you may/may not readily find someone on this forum who would give her a better job. She should help herself and not wait for someone else to do so. She has to take things into her own hands and maximize her opportunities using the job she has now. She could acquire a skill/ start a business in line with her passion/ further her education.
PoliticsRe: 10 Ways Instant Noodles Can Kill You by 4tunebest(f):
Thanks Op for this list. Who knows, it might actually save a life. Of everything in your list, this is the most potent.

Realwaparz: 9. Propylene Glycol : The ingredient in the instant noodles called "Propylene Glycol" which has a anti-freeze property. This ingredient is used because it prevents the noodles from drying by retaining moisture. It weakens the immune system of our body. It is easily absorbed by the body and it accumulates in the kidneys, heart and liver. It causes abnormalities and damage to those areas.
Propylene glycol is a humectant which is used in some food products as a thickner/stabilizer/emulsifier. It isnt safe for consumption since Its original application is for it to be used as an antifreeze in the automobile industry and not the food industry. However, for one reason or another, some food companies still make use of it and other artificial additives but it is declared on their ingredient list as: E123, E456, E789 (not the correct numbers).

The side effects of these things on the body do not happen overnight. They take time to accumulate in the body before they begin to manifest as Diabetes, HBP, heart diseases, osteoporosis, etc

It may not be possible to totally avoid these artificial foods in our diet but consumption should be reduced to the barest minimum. Suffice to say that the fear of artificial foods is the beginning of wisdom.

Thanks for being a good friend to her. May God send help to you in your own time of need.
