Yes. One of those bitter pills I have to swallow. Religion ish. I still can't get over her. I just don't understand why religion had to pull us apart. We were compatible in every way. Just our believes.

I was ready for marriage with this babe (Omalicha nwa). In fact, I proposed to her during our NYSC P.O.P and she said yes. Months after our POP, she said we should go our separate ways because her parent says I'm Yoruba and she's Igbo. Her parent has been living in Lagos for almost 30years, and she was born in Lagos, had her nursery, primary and secondary education in Lagos and only her university education in Enugu. I'm still going through the pain since last year may. I no fit comot d babe for my mind, I swear to God
Igbos and Yorubas like marrying each other. It is well bro. Time heals all wounds

She already painted the perfect couple pics for everyone oo..
Only for after a month she camearound and told me she’s not ready smh, that I should wait till when she done with her school..
She left and that was it.
I didn’t bother to chat her or call..
Very painful but someone cannot come play with my emotions.

Gradually I deleted all moments and photos of me and her.

Some beautiful relationships may not lead to marriage
In some cases a beautiful relationship (love affair) could even be spoilt by the kain marriage
And, it is still okay
Just be happy while you can, and move on when it ends
Note to everybody

We weren't really dating, just getting to know each other, but I was still unsure about him because he was short & kind of boring. He was eligible in every other aspect though- educated, extremely intelligent, good paying job, nice flat, a great cook etc. What made up my mind about him was something I'm sure many people wouldn't consider such a big deal. I found him a little cowardly lol. He was scared of dogs. He actually shrieked when two little ones were coming at us! I was like, um okay, no, he's not for me. I like guys with a bit devil may care in them, not one that screams like a banshee.

Lol, I understand you. And if I were a lady it would be a big deal for me too.

South African men have no class, no drive to improve themselves, no intellectual depth and believe in getting what they want, using aggression. They get easily provoked and jealous, when they see foreigners who are better off than they are ...

Cool.

Hmmmm
Mine is even bitter sweet experience, she's the girl I fell in love with when I least expected. She's supportive, caring and loving. At least that's what I thought for the first 2 out of our 4 years relationship. She's the most amazing girl that has ever cross my path. Until when she finished her NCE programme and started working in an hotel. She was expose to a different world and she started playing games with me. Cheated on me with a married man the first time, i forgave her (don't blame me I was madly in and love is truly blind), the second one was even more painful she dated someone I considered a junior friend and secretly did a mini introduction(but as God will have it the relationship did not last long as the guy turn out to be an opportunist and a scammer) . A year after that while I was still serving my father land she got an opportunity to travel to Oman to work as a maid and before she left asked her the status of our relationship, she said we are still good. On getting to Oman she search for who to trust with her money, she couldn't find anybody apart from me instead of her to come out clean that I should be her account manager, no she decide to continue her game plan. She always send money to my account and help her pay some bills here in Nigeria and she will give me 5k as per her lover wey I be. I never know until. intercepted a conversation telling her friend that she's only giving me 5k not because of the love she have for me but for me not to run away with her money. Long story cut short, she's back in the country told her I knew all what she did and I have forgiven her but I can never ever trust her anymore in my life.
Tho I have my fault to but my fault doesn't warrant any of her actions.
Forgive my grammatical error am typing this with a broken heart.

LMFAO. Let's not go there. I grew up around daring men who grab a knife by the blade, hence I cannot be with a weasel of a man. South African men set that standard for me, not foreign men. Nigerian men talk & take off their clothes grin South African men, DO. They're not big talkers or strippers. South African men are many things, but cowards & sissies, they're not. They have way too much aggression to be cowards.
TBH, I think I may be too much for a typical Nigerian guy to handle grin

If your story is true? Your ex -wife the doctor did exactly what I would do in that situation
I looove her already!
Back to your post, don’t make marriage vows if you intend to break them
What to do? Lay your cards on the table, keep girlfriends, let them know you are not the committing type. I dareday they won’t all disappear
It’s more honest and bad-a.ss (to me at least)
Cheers

But he should accept that they might cheat on him too.

What pained me the most was, I spoke to her on her birthday day ( last year ) and after all the wishes and a little prayer, I told her I hope her parent will reverse their decision and her response was THERE IS NO HOPE !

yea had to leave a girl when she said no sex before marriage, but came to me in tears about her incomplete school fees....that she needed 80k to complete it....and i told her to take 200 airtime and call her dad/mom.
Lol Just to be clear, there is nothing wrong with saving sex for marriage. If you both don't share the ideology it is best to go your separate ways like you did.
The 80k part though. Lol

Communication is key when having sex, you could have told her to be more active during sex and if she is still clueless make watch hardcore porn.

She told me that her pastor told her that I will definitely leave her that if she is recalcitrant about leaving me alone, that I will disappoint her in the end. She attend one of the white garment church and effort to convince her that am here to stay prove abortive. She believe her pastor more than God.

That's one trend guys needs to check on.

The poor minded ones( mentality & financially) are the culprit here....

Just cut off, the moment she comes with her pastor is the God.

She's Ijaw, I'm Igbo. I still regret loosing her till this day.

Rachel was the best thing to ever happen to me as far as relationships go.

Ethnicity is a terrible curse on this country.

Lol Nigerian men break bottles on their head just to start a fight. Anyway, you can't generalise. If it's aggressive manly men you want they are plenty in Nigeria.
