It happened when I was 10 ..The day I was chasing my younger sister around the house to beat her for spoiling my designer watch and tearing my note book , and i don't know my brother poured water on the floor (tiles) and slipped off, and fell down hit the back of my head on the hard floor, I laid down there for like 30 minutes ..I couldn't get up , until my brother went bring mop to clean the water he poured and saw me , before he helped to stand on my feet.

Years ago, I experienced a highway robbery.
The robbers were killing people at the forefront.
The driver wasn't far. He just hit reverse at max speed. The robbers started shooting at the car.
Bullets just kept passing the car.
After a short while, we left the road. No one was hurt.
I saw the driver somewhere about 2 years ago. He still remembered my face. He is now running a driving school.
I still have his number.

It was over 10 years ago I was in the living room reading wen all of a sudden my neck began to bend to one side, I was scared cus I was alone I thought I was going to die n all that came to my mind were my mom n siblings, I tried using my hands to straighten my head but all to no avail naso my eyes begin b like say e wan tear.... as I was passing out I was hearing voices saying hold e leg hold e hand hmmmmm. Woke up hours later on the floor with my hands stretched out to each side on top of two cushions.... till this day I still don’t know wat happened

I thought a near-death-experience was the experience where you lose consciousness and typically an out-of-body experience. I haven't had any neither do I wish to have one.

Yes once in Libya in 2009 and another on my way to Abuja to get my visa in 2012. I was in coma for 9 days in 2009 and I had accident in Ewu hill in 2012

Driving my uncle's car at Ekpoma to get some drugs for his wife when some useless cultist opened fire at me at Emaudo, I managed to escape those bastards, but I couldn't escape a big signpost in front of me.... "Gboaaaaa" I lost consciousness immediately, but I could hear someone saying, "Nor be him be dis"

Well, as a kid, many years ago, I went to badagry beach with my dad. Just two of us. We did the usuall Nigerian thing. Stand there and allow the waves beat our legs. It was fun. I didn't look at the water and got distracted.
And then, one big wave came and hit us. It covered me head to toe. And I was suspended in the water. My feet were just flying in slow motion. But my dad held unto my hand throughout and he remained rooted on the ground. He held unto me as the wave was trying to drag me out to the sea. It didn't succeed. The water cleared, and dad just took us to higher ground. We didn't talk about it. I didn't really feel scared or anything. If I had died, I would have died na!?
I still remember the incident but haven't told anyone.

I still wonder how we Nigerians will be dying inside small wave while these oyibo people will be jumping right inside the biggest wave they can find.

Mine was when I was a little girl, playing with 2 of my friends of about the same age, we thought it was a good idea to take turns to carry each other on our shoulders.
When it was my turn to climb onto the shoulder of one, I immediately knew it was a bad idea when I got on because, one, I had the fear of heights, and so I couldn't keep still
I wanted her to put me down immediately, but we didn't know the easiest way to do that...omg!
We kept wobbling back and forth because I couldn't keep still out of fear. The other kid was laughing, while I was beside myself with fear
Lastly, I fell so hard with my stomach slamming on the hard ground with a loud thud ( the most painful experience), I swear, for some seconds I couldn't breathe
While I was on the ground gasping for air, desperately trying to breathe and fighting to grasp onto life, my two so-called friends were laughing hysterically
When I was finally able to catch my breath, I cried so loud and hard....I cried ehn then they knew how serious it was.
I swear, I could have died that day and my parents would never have known what killed me.
Of course, they never knew what happened because I never told them. Heck! I never spoke about it ever. I just sucked it up.
As little as I was, I knew I could have died that day because what happened was serious...I just knew

Mine was when I was admitted in the hospital. I wanted to run but found myself collapsing to unconsciousness which might well have led to death.
I realized something important: this flesh(body) is attracted to sin but it would decay and it would be the poor soul that would suffer for it. I felt bad about it.

Another was when I went to check the poultry. There was electric bulb. I touched it and was shocked for close to 30 seconds at least. I was given milk to drink.

Yet another was when I was being fed yam while asleep. I swallowed the yam and was rushed to hospital. I vomited blood.
Never feed a child that is feeling sleepy. It's dangerous.

Well it was in my 100 level first semester before I started using glasses (can't see far), I left my hostel for my lecture at 5:30 am, a lecture of 8am.this was to ensure I secured the front seat, journey lasts about 30 minutes.

It was difficult to see more than 10 meters because if was misty. Halfway into the journey I had an impression to leave the road and walk on the sidewalk, remember this is before 6 and the road was wide and free.

I obeyed.

Less than a minute after I left the road a small herd of about 19 cows came running along the road. If I disobeyed I would have been trampled, I meditate on that experience till date.

Reminds me the uncertainty of life, to always use my time adequately.

I have done crazy things.... I remember jumping from my father's one story building cos my brother dared me to.... Oh and my head of hair caught fire once.... But none was near death.

Never had a NDE before. Most of the stories here are more like scary moments /accidents and not NDE.

I’ve had many near death experience.
When I was 6 my I fell down from one storey building, I was rushed and admitted in Luth. It was a miracle .no broken bone ,but I was bleeding badly from my nose and mouth
Second one was on 26th Dec 2008 I was involved in a car accident along Lasu road . My elder brother drove me ,my mum and my other brother . He lost control luckily we bashed in to a shop .assuming the car moved for another 1 min we would have seen ourselves in a small river
3rd one was when I was hit with a Pole on the face by mistake .all those rubbish secondary school play
I’ve had many many . I just know deep down that God has a purpose for me .

It was on 23rd of december 2014 at igwuruta in Ph, i escorted my elder brother to return a borrowed working equipment, just as we were walking along the express,
i heard a loud bang on my back, i woke up at about 30 minutes later to the loud voices of people that surrounded me calling my name and pressing me.
The sliding door of a mistubuishi l300 bus which was not properly placed on the roof, flew from the bus' roof and panned me on my back.
I still feel the pains till today.
I thank Jehovah i made it alive.

I was wrongly given drugs that over reacted on my body, blood pressure increased, had cold feet. I was confused all through the night. In fact, it was God who revived my life back many years ago. Glory to his name.

Those days when youthful exuberance still dey hot for body. I had this fling with this hot girl who happened to be the only child of an army officer. Her mum was late so they only had an househelp staying with them. Her father was really overprotective but he was most times away so twas just the girl and the househelp( It wasn't hard earning her trust). This girl lied to her neighbours I was her cousin. Those nosy bastards later grew suspicious like "how come her cousin only comes when her dad isn't around ? " angry

. So they secretly told him about it and he confirmed none of his cousins visit regularly). He didn't ask anything from his daughter . He already had plans to deal with me. He told these snitches to call him the next time I was around.
That faithful day, I went to dz girl's house as usual but my mind wasn't at rest, I had this bad feeling in my guts. To cut it short, I told babe I was leaving after just 15 mins. She was surprised and begged me to wait longer but I refused. She wanted to see me off, but I told her not to bother, this voice was just telling me to get the heck outta there.
I didn't even wait for bike, I started walking to the junction. After some mins of walking, I saw a camo-coloured hilux van with nothing less than 7 soldiers all looking pissed speeding towards dz girl's street. I had no idea. Twas when I got home I saw aunty's msg telling me how her dad brought home his colleagues just few mins to when I left to search the whole house, screaming "where is that boy? I'll kill him today " . It was then I linked everything together. What if they had met me at her house, or what if I had allowed her to see me off? They probably would av given me a lift to their barracks grin

My mum saw me thanking God for my life but she coudn't understand cheesy

... Indeed, I'll forever be grateful to God and my instincts for saving me from untimely death..

THESE ARE ALL NOT NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES. Nigerians think because it's called NEAR-DEATH so it means experiences that you NEARLY DIED grin

Definition of near-death experience

: an occurrence in which a person comes very close to dying and has memories of a spiritual experience (such as meeting dead friends and family members or seeing a white light) during the time when death was near.

What you all typing are ACCIDENTS you had. Did you see white light OR a tunnel? If No, that's not NEAR DEATH. NDE, they actually die and wake. They see things in the spirit realm and come to tell stories.

To having an almost ruptured appendix. My saving grace was that pus covered the spot.

To being a victim of Fulani highway robbery attack.

To a ghastly accident at Kabba junction (came out scratch free)

Plus other ones I can't mention. See, I stay far away from people who say there is no God. I've experienced things for this my young age wey be say i go come out speechless anytime I remember I still get shivers.

God I thank you for my life. It's a privilege to still be here.

Chai, mine was when a devilish friend gave me COLORADO to smoke. I was in a different world entirely thinking most likely to be land of the dead. Me that was a good boy was just empathising with my parents that had spent so much money in sending me to school.
It wasnt a nice experience.
