MhisTahrah: Just as there was no single word of condemnation from the 2nd most liked comment, there also wasn’t any single word of support, excuse, or rationalization for cheating from the most liked comment. You are correct that no male has quoted the “zini guy’s” comment. As for the “damnniggar” dude, a male moniker actually quoted and responded to his comment on page 2 (whether the reply was spot on or off point is an entirely different argument altogether). The point that Nairaland misandrists didn’t actually start out as misandrists doesn’t cut it for me. We can equally start mentioning how people like Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, etc, didn’t start out as dictators, terrorists, etc. What they were before/initially is by the way, what they currently are is what matters. In local parlance, “I get am before no be property.” You are right to acknowledge that I have kept my posts largely devoid of personal insults, just as you have done yours. You are very wrong to say that you ignored the “carefully sheathed polite ones.” On the contrary, you have also responded with some subtle ones. My moniker is new, but I am definitely no stranger to Nairaland, since I have been viewing as a guest since 2014, as I have stated previously. And just as you have your gripe, I also have mine – I cannot even begin to count the number of threads or comments that swing in the opposite direction of what your thread is about, that’s why I decided to play the Devil’s Advocate on this thread like I stated in my very first comment. I could also decide to play the Devil’s Advocate and swing in the other direction, essentially lending credence to this thread. Ultimately, my lifelong goal is to be as unbiased as is humanly possible, simply because I realize that people support or disagree with viewpoints primarily because of their inherent inclinations (be it gender, race, religion or political affiliation, to mention a few), and not necessarily because those viewpoints make sense or are lacking coherence. Whether I will actually achieve this feat is a different ball game on its own. |

Magnoliaa: Lol!!! Fair point, I must say. I am not specifically concerned about the female/men usage and/or dichotomy. Just as equally as I wouldn’t worry or even take note if someone uses boy/female, woman/male, lady/man, etc. I can understand why, as a feminist, you would take offense at that. I also find that people who are not just particular about such usage, but are specifically offended by it (not necessarily you, because I wouldn’t know for sure), are easily among the people that come up with very weird gender theories et al. Like feminists saying that air conditioning is sexist, spelling women as “womxn” or “womyn” because including the word “man” in the spelling is sexist, or trying to rename the word “history” to “herstory” to mention a few. Ultimately though, to each their own. |

Re: The Hypocrisy Of Nigerian Men by Nobody: 7:46pm On Oct 13, 2020 |
FearlessOG:The male moniker corroborated his claim. From my meager knowledge on law, I know sometimes circumstances surrounding a crime/criminal and background are considered. I could be wrong.Honestly, all this back and forth is starting to tire me out.You will never agree some males are more guilty of generalizing and double standards, I also will never agree that females who do it are often ignored by other women. Can we give it a rest? Goodluck achieving your goal. Do you talk so much in real life? |
Re: The Hypocrisy Of Nigerian Men by FearlessOG: 8:28pm On Oct 13, 2020 |
MhisTahrah: I am referring to Lordfave98’s comment. No, he didn’t corroborate his claim. Lol!!! I cannot accurately answer the question of whether I talk so much in real life, since it largely depends on the topic being discussed. If one is discussing combat sports (UFC, MMA, Bellator, Boxing, One FC, Glory Kickboxing, etc), I can discuss it from now ‘till the Lord’s second coming. I play the role of a listener for most other topics, since I am largely uninterested in them. I am also not necessarily a fan of conversing on social media, as can be evidenced by the fact that my account is several months old and I have been a viewer/guest for over 6 years, yet, all the posts that I have made on Nairaland are on only this thread and can be counted on the fingers on one’s palms. I cannot count the number of times that I have wanted to create an account on Nairaland or log into my account after creating it, just to counter or refute someone’s claims, but I always end up convincing myself that there is definitely a better use of my time. I cannot even remember when I logged into my Facebook account last. Ciao!!! |

FearlessOG:Gerrard was the one I had in mind.He also quoted damnnigar. You know, that sidestepping thing you accused me of.I'm a learner at it compared to you. I put it to you that this is your alternate nairaland account. You have a main which you probably use to do all vices mentioned on this thread. This is just a thought from a hyperactive mind who has indulged in too many crime dramas, you needn't reply. |
Re: The Hypocrisy Of Nigerian Men by FearlessOG: 9:56pm On Oct 13, 2020 |
MhisTahrah: Well, how does it feel to realize that you were dead wrong? You even quoted Lordfave98’s post and said “My point exactly.” Lol!!! You put it to me that this is my alternate Nairaland account, yet you use the word “probably” in your very next sentence. Taking wild guesses, aren’t you. Well, you are definitely free to revel in your assumptions. Obviously, this back and forth isn’t starting to tire you out like you claimed in your last post. You needn’t also reply |

FearlessOG:I was right about Zini. And it must be tiredness because I def saw the pink f next to the moniker. I'm sure you're an oldie with a main. The only thing probably was doing in that sentence was to emphasize that although I feel you engage in these vices(women bashing and double standards), I might be wrong. Very wild guesses I know, because you indulged me, I'll give you some more.Your style of writing feels familiar, you are probably an acquaintance who was too chicken to use their main.Don't blame me, I have an overactive imagination.Lol... Your essays aged my bones, causing the tired feeling. |

Everybody knows that women cheat the most. Guys only get caught cos they do not cover their tracks well like women do. Even OP sef will cheat on whoever she is dating in a heartbeat if she gets the opportunity. |
Re: The Hypocrisy Of Nigerian Men by FearlessOG: 12:13am On Oct 14, 2020 |
MhisTahrah: Yes, you were right about Zini, and I acknowledged that. I am definitely not an oldie with a main. You are free to believe or disbelieve that, it won’t change anything. But, take a look at some of the words that you’re using, that contradict the assertion that you are trying to make about me being an oldie with a main: “I feel you engage in…” “…I might be wrong.” “Very wild guesses I know…” “…probably an acquaintance…” “…I have an overactive imagination.” You used all the above phrases that indicate probability, rather than certainty, yet someone is supposed to take your claim that “I am an oldie with a main” serious? Have you ever considered a career as a stand-up comedian? Do get some rest for your weary bones. You deserve it. My “essays” dem get as dem be true true… |

Everybody knows what? Stop pushing your personal beliefs on the people here. More men cheat than women, let's stop deceiving ourselves. Here alone under this thread, i have seen more guys justify cheating than women. JasperVII: 2 Likes |

From a marriage perspective, i know men cheat with other women. Many of those women they cheat with are single. In a marital setting, more men in marriages cheat than women - that is just my point! JasperVII: |
