Most of the advices given above are maybe right though.

My own advice is simple and it works.

That is: To learn a martial art.

I use to be like you even up to my university days.
Until I took up boxing.
Now I can stand tall.

PS: You need to learn a martial art skill because it will instill confidence in you for real. You can follow and subscriber to boxing or kickboxing on youtube if you don't want to indulge in it.
This gives real confidence even among guys too.
