Of course APC all the way. So you want a situation where almost all workers in the informal sector continue to earn money tax free and contribute nothing to national development? While they constitute up to 70% if the workforce. The cheating of workers in the formal should end, the cost of running the country should be borne by all Nigerians not some.
Nigeria can't remain a primitive state that PDP left it,such that Nigeria public revenue is the smallest among the first 7 biggest economies in Africa, yet we are the biggest economy.
Firing squad for you dia

These hopeless politicians keep tightening the noose on the neck of the poor masses.

10 years ago, they were begging everyone to have bank accounts so that money can be 'captured' including market women and villagers.
Now that you have captured them, you want to kill them with wicked policies?

Very soon the national assembly will invaded with dangerous weapons and there will be no where to run with your babarigas and danshikis.
I thought same bro

What is in place to identify what kind of funds will be subject to taxation? Is there a distinction between individual accounts operated by young students and unemployed/underemployed persons?

The problem is that some few individuals would still embezzle whatever people pay as tax through treasury looting and helpless Nigerians won't be able to hold anybody accountable except ranting on Nairaland. Or who can fight corruption successfully here in Nigeria. People have lost faith in our administrators. All you wrote above would have been appropriate if we are living in a sane country

Don't you get it?
If more people paid taxes we would have more participation of the populace in government.

Most people don't care because they don't pay tax. If people cared enough Nigeria would be sane.

Even with blockchain funds still have to moved to conventional bank accounts. We wait till the day when ust or usdt will be generally acceptable at all point of sales.

Thanks for letting us know that APC and Buhari supporters are the children of hate and frustrated beings.
For them to have sponsored this bill means that they frustration and hate reign in their DNA.

What's VAT?

what's tax

You charges VAT each time people make electronic transfer

You charges VAT on every calls we make

You charges VAT on every commodity

You charges 50naira stamp duty on every deposit of 10k Naira & above

What other tax do you want?

Which Nigerians don’t pay tax? This is a myth that has been debunked several times. We already pay VAT, companies and businesses already pay tax, salary earners already pay income tax, small businesses even those by the roadside already pay taxes in form of levies to local governments where they are setup.

So everybody will pay tax. Including agberos and alaba boys. Very good.

Wat happened to the aged, that are no more active.

The foolishness in d bill is that having TIN is no guarantee that people will pay tax. Like u asked, how will agbero pay tax? Apart from that, why would an unemployed person or student need TIN? The confusion from this govt has no compare

Most Nigerians still don't pay tax.

That's why when someone steals 50 billion nobody cares but once you add 50 naira to fuel everybody comes out to protest.
