Do you people even know what a DNA test consists of? It doesn't just say the person is the dad/mom but it gives a percentage and probability. For example anything less than 99% is considered inconclusive, anything less than 90% is considered negative or not biological mom or dad. So even with this rare condition, a competent DNA test center would still give a percentage and there should not be much fuss becuase twins have a very close DNA profile.

I was going through the internet like I do every night when I came across this write up.
Is this phenomenon true?
To what extent can it be proven?
How common is it?

'DNA is really so crazy. Have y'all heard that story about the woman who had a baby with her husband? When he got a DNA test done, the results determined he wasn't the father.
The mother insisted he was the dad so much so that they repeated the test numerous times. The results remained the same, so the couple got divorced and the man refused to be in the child's life.

It later came out that based off the DNA results, he wasn't the father but the uncle of the child. Which was impossible because he was an only child. After a more extensive DNA test, they found out the husband was actually a chimera, which essentially means he had a twin brother that he ate in utero, essentially absorbing his DNA.
So basically the unborn twin brother was the father, even though the husband bore the child.'

No be only Chimera, na Primera.
I guess Women have been desperate;y looking for a means to discredit DNA Tests, so they can keep getting away with their Sexual Escapade.

DNA that has solved a lot of Cold, Criminal Cases, once it enter Woman case, it has suddenly become Invalid.

So did the man later agree to accept the kid as his own?

This can never work in this part of the world.. Even if he met the lady intact and DNA test says otherwise dude is over with the relationship fvck Chimera or chidera

Although this is really fascinating

FtC dedicated to Freda
this has to be the rarest of rarities. Females have been jumping from pillar to post trying to rationalise paternity fraud. From baby switching to chimera very soon na Chidima una go switch to

I have a friend on NL who is a Chimera. She absorbed her twin brother's cell. She is a woman but one of her legs is masculine. She is a real deal. She is a one in a million chances. Just a few people will understand how specially crafted she is. Thanks to God she does understand that for herself.

While it is indeed true that this is a possibility, it in no way discredits DNA testing or results as this is a very rare phenomenon.
What if that one test is chimera

The chance of Chimerism is a very rare thing- Most of the DNA are extremely accurate- A cheater will this an excuse

There’s one who’s a nairalander.

She absorbed her brother, but not totally.
Not totally? undecided

Is the partially absorbed one still alive or what? undecided

The children are his. The sample was just taken from a part of body that had his twins DNA.

The test should be repeated with swabs from multiple regions.

You scared the crap out of me. From the story, no pieces of her brother was found meaning she absorbed him in entirety. undecided
You said the absorption was partial leaving me with pictures darting through my mind as to what possible pieces were found of the other twin. grin

Masculine? She stated in the one thread that the legs are of different skin tones or complexion. I am trying to picture a woman with one masculine leg and like female one, and the picture in my mind is that of born of some frankinsteinish experiment. lipsrsealed

so true if you check it.
People that have two different sets of DNA are called human chimeras . It can happen when a woman is pregnant with fraternal twins and one embryo dies very early on. The other embryo can "absorb" its twin's cells. It can also happen after a bone marrow transplant, and in a smaller scale during normal pregnancy.

Twins by default share similar DNA. If this is true and of course I know it's false, it therefore indicates that if the twin were alive, hale and healthy, they will have dissimilar DNA, from their paternal side---and this can only be possible in the case of hypersuperfecundity, a rare condition two men impregnates a woman almost same time giving birth to twin kids who are of different paternity.

If you say it happens in "bone marrow transplant, smaller scale pregnancy" I will agree but not with "twin cells".

I stand to be corrected!

Thanks.

No! Similar not exactly identical!

Identical twins still have little variations but their genetic similarities is closer or higher when compared to other of their siblings. Ditto for fraternal twins. Regardless of these little variations they share almost same DNA.

Pray you get the explanation.

Thanks.

so they allowed the couple to divorce, scatter their marriage before telling them the chromosome result actually has a set of the husband’s chromosome present...showing the person who fathered the child is actually related to him.....

Is that not witchcraft on the part of the scientist
