A married friend of mine did family planning (medical) just after her first child unfortunately till today, her procedure was irreversible. Her first child is about 15 years old now.

It is a dumb decision as she doesn't know if she would react to the family planning drugs. Even for married people, I advise them to use fp drugs only after their second child

At that age, many of my classmates were already long sexually active and several had to drop out of school as a result. Why would I, having experienced all that in my own youth pretend that doing nothing is the right way to protect my children from making the same mistake as those before them?

1. I think she used the injectable birth control method.

As a marriage counselor, I advise couples intending to get married to use non-chemical birth control methods like Condoms, Calender or Sympto-thermal methods until they have at least two children before going of Pills, Injectables, Norplant etc.

It is better to be safe than sorry!

2. This world is not much different from the way it was when you were a kid. You saw and knew coursemates who were sexually active even before 16-years of age. And you probably also knew some in your community who had to carry the burden of raising a child at that young age due to pregnancy that early. So I don't understand why you folks pretend it has always been the same story from when you were young.

3. Would you be happy to hear your daughter do that? Why are we promoting immorality? A girl getting exposed to sex at that young age to the extent of even thinking about family planning so she can have it without any borders! An innocent soul might go through the comments on this post and easily resort to the act being a good one.

What you call chemicals are hormones many of which the body already produces for itself and others we ingest through other means. So putting fear of chemical forms of contraception some of which are more effective than the objects of contraception is akin to advising them not to use contraception at all.
