You better don't buy cars in such condition. when the owner is crying and begging. Remember, whatever goes around, comes around 16 Likes |

Hmmm.... This is too bad. The state is using this to promote stealing and violence. After auctions the people who bought from the government will be attacked, assaulted and abused by the ones who lost their cars and vehicles to the government 8 Likes |

If the process is free and fair. It will deter most from flouting traffic rules, there will be some coconut head however |

This is not funny at all.....Nigeria is yet to grow to this level of scrutiny by law... You can't be impounding cars not made in Nigeria and be auctioning it out ....... Yankee people are able to do that because the cost of cars are not that expensive over there as they make their own cars.... Soon, customs will increase the exchange rate higher again and what do we have ? The price of cars will go higher the more.... Before you emulate someone, make sure you have what is obtainable in his own country pls.... And any defaulter of road traffic should rather be fined than impounding cars you can't produce one of the he tyres in Nigeria ..... 14 Likes 1 Share |

nlfpmod: This is nonsense. How many of the politicians who steal daily have been punished. The law is supposed to be for all. I've never heard of such auctions in europe or America. The police officers, army officers and government officials who take one way freely, disobey trafic rules etc. what has happened to them? NIGERIA is a scam. |

Very good, nobody thrives in a lawless society, other states are backwards because of the lawlessness they tolerate there. This is why Lagos is the best City and stare in Nigeria. 1 Like |

Is auctioning of people's vehicle the penalty for traffic offense in Lagos? Can it be said authoritatively that the people involved were given enough time to reclaim their vehicles? If yes, were the charges placed on them for violation of traffic rules comeasurable with the offense committed, that is, is the fine not too high beyond normal? Or was there a deliberate intention to frustrate the owners, thereby making it impossible for them to reclaim their vehicles? Otherwise, why will somebody using a car of about 3-4million not be able to reclaim his vehicle, if the penalty was affordable and not beyond normal? Or is it to be said, that traffic violation as in driving against the traffic is an unpardonable offense in Lagos? All these questions beg for answer. Can an insider to this situation please share some useful details about what processes and procedures were adopted before arriving at auctioning people's cars/vehicles. 12 Likes |
