My mother is furious that I don't want to come over to the UK.
This month my younger sister left for UK and it's remaining me.
Documents and all papers are right and after couple family intervention I decided to go for interview.
I really didn't want to go to Uk
I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home
I feel more connected to my father's land.
Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed.
My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.

I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May

honestly I don't want to move to Uk.
I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country.
Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back.
Did I do anything wrong?

This is where parents some times get things wrong. God help us all.
When the child especial one old enough to make a reasonable judgment of right and wrong, like and dislike, expresses their strong conviction about some thing, parents need to be extra sensitive.

My brothers soul has left Nigeria since his secondary school days but his body is stuck here in Nigeria.
And because of that he has been quite anti-social and reclusive. This is someone who was a life/force. His zest for life was inspiring and infectious. Thank God things are picking up for him now.

OP, your soul has chosen Nigeria because deep down it knows what you need is not UK right now. You may visit later but not now.
Plead with your parents especially your mom.
Parents usually want what's best for their children, albeit through the lens of their own ideals. Which may not and usually is not your own ideals/dreams.

Nigeria will be very prosperous again and I believe you certainly enjoy the good of the land in Jesus name. Amen.

Thanks I really believe I'm destined to make it big in Nigeria.
Japa is not for everybody
How are you destine to make it in Nigeria, when the opportunity is rarely available.Nigeria kills destiny.

Travel to UK, get a job and live a better life, some rich Nigerians who had vision left this country to secure their wealth and live a good life, you that is still struggling still prefare to stay.

Maybe there's something keeping you here that you don't want to miss, but i assure you.You will regret your decision

Why do all think abroad is everything? I lived and worked in Europe for 8 years working in several countries including the UK as a professional engineer. I got tired of Europe, moved back to Nigeria and doing like 3-4 times better than I was living in Europe.

Just to let you know, the security guard in the company I worked for while in Aberdeen was a Nigerian with MSc Oil and Gas from Robert Gordon University. The kitchen staff was filled with Nigerians with various UK masters degree. I even met a LUTH trained medical doctor washing plate in London back in 2011 and advised him to go back home. The point is, abroad is not as sweet as you all paint it to be.

Its better you encourage him to work hard on his career or business interest since he has decided not to travel.

I so much love u for this.

People look at me so many times (even my mum) that, is something happening to me for the kind love I have for my country. I even ask them, is it a crime ?.
I've never crave for all these traveling abroad bullshit. I just believe I can make it no matter how in this country ( despite the fact that all my hustle hasn't work yet).
One thing is, we just need to be hardworking and diligent with anything we found doing as work, everything will work out for good in this Naija .
God will strengthen us and bless our country.. Amen.

Remember that Nigeria will be very hard soon, this is an opportunity, if you go to uk and you don't like it you can come back just give that favour a chance.. it might be of benefit for you, there was a man that regret while not traveling abroad in the late 80s, the man have a house here in Nigeria but when ever he is telling his life history, he will always talk about not leaving Nigeria.
This is a golden opportunity you just got to use. It.

I carried my legs, went to American embassy and got US Visa for 2 years. After I got it, I didn't use it at all till the 2 years expired.

Seriously I don't even know what to go do in those dry Oyibo countries.

Africa is so sweet and the best place to flex.

That's personal opinion though.

Exactly. Not all that traveled abroad are destiny to make it.I have seen someone who had all his children and live in abroad yet still come to not back home.If God has not order your steps and mind to traveled, why pursuing the wind.Everyone that have link with heaven must first contact God first before undertaking such a venture. Some have gone and never came back by reason of sudden deaths.Remember Naomi and Ruth story in the Bible.
