This bridge is 1.404 km. Less than 2 km. It's a crying shame that you are singing praises over an uncompleted 1.4 km bridge project after four years. It's not proper to say anything about the project, at least not the way you are, until it's completed.
Don't you think you should be ashamed of yourself for posting this nonsense?, if your beloved PDP have move the project to this stage in their unproductive 16 years, Buhari will be rounding it up by now.

Yorubas shouldn't allow greed blindfold them. For the past 50yrs the SE and NE haven't ruled this country. Fast forward to 1999, SW, SS and NW have ruled. If it's by zoning, the SE or NE or NC should produce the next president.....I am from Asaba, I am 101% sure the SS and SE would NEVER vote for a SW candidate. They shouldn't waste their time. If they continue the greed, the North would keep ruling us. I pre'er the North to the unstable West.

festacman:
In as much as vigilance and ventilation are needed to keep our democracy alive, the simple truth is that the real situation is very far from the picture Punch Newspaper is painting. There is freedom of speech in Nigeria and on daily basis tens of anti-government and extremely anti-Buhari articles get published in both print and online media. If there wasn't, staunch critics like Femi Fani Kayode with all his misleading, mischievous and insulting posts would have been in jail.

Unfortunately, DSS personnel got carried away in their bid to tame the defiant Yele Sowore that they tactlessly played into his original intention of making himself a hero of democracy by that act of gangsterism in court premises. Now, the enemies of government including displaced and embittered PDP moneybags have subtly moved into action to discredit Buhari's administration in both local and international media. To counter this dangerous development, I think government should reach out to critical civil society stakeholders to restate its commitments to democratic principles.

However, one thing is certain, because Buhari's presidency is very NECESSARY for the INEVITABLE disruptions of the existing political and economic orders that will make way for new orders, it will survive this onslaught like the ones that came in the past.
Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, bro you are in spirit.

The subsidy of over 64billion that's been paid now wouldn't destroy Nigeria?...they say when you don't know the cause of your problem, there's no solution...Nigeria,we are the cause of our problem....we are tribalist we just pretend not to know.
How much subsidies was being paid before and still no fuel, I bought petrol in Lagos at #2500 for four liters in November 2014.
I can NEVER forget this because people fought, blood flowed at the mobil station and two people died because of petrol kilode?.
This wickedness is what you people want others to continue to bear, so that your brother can remain in power.
Shebi the jig is now out, they collect subsidies and still smuggle the heavily subsidized petrol out of the country through the boader, and left the citizens fighting and killing each other at the petrol station, Buhari has since closed the border, the fuel consumption has dropped and so the subsidies to must surely come down.

The idiot was probably paid in dollars. This group of idiots still lost each of their polling unit. Tell the useless Sheu Gumni to bring out the result of the election in his polling unit, Buhari still whipped Atikuchukwu there even after Atikuchukwu bribed the useless clergy.

Even in Bishop Oyedepo's polling unit, Buhari won.

In Obasanjo's polling unit, Buhari won.

Galadima is even mad, he lost his polling booth by 3 votes to 750. What a humiliation.

The worst case is the Atikuchukwu polling unit where Buhari defeated Atikuchukwu by 278 to 276.

Yet these idiots are saying Buhari rigged. Did Buhari rig Atikuchukwu in Atikuchukwu's polling booth? Did Buhari rig Atikuchukwu in Obasanjo's polling unit? Did Buhari rig Atikuchukwu in Bishop Oyedepo's polling unit?

SOWORE CASE: Religious Leaders Chide Sowore and Falana over misleading Reports.

Following the growing concerns over the activities of Mr Omoyele Sowore after his release from the department of state security custody, some religious leaders under the auspices of Forum of Nigerian Presbyterian ministry has described as the height of wickedness unpatriotism, the activities of Mr. Sowore after his release.

The Forum president , Bishop Abel Tasman wondered why Mr Sowore would embark on holding meetings immediately after his release against National Security.
Hear him" to my greatest shock, instead of reunite with family and friends , Mr Omoyele Sowore was deep neck into meetings where plots on how to overthrow the current administration were discussed"

Our worry is predicated on why Mr. Sowore’s lawyer does not guide his client appropriately. Instead they are more bent on media blackmail, intimidation and smear campaign against the Nigerian state particularly the department of state security.

The religious leaders said Nigerians should focus on unity and desist from promoting narratives that will set the nation against each other.

Commenting on the rearrest of Mr Omoyele Sowore, Bishop Abel Tasman said as representatives of the clergy in court as observers, he can confirm that Sowore’s rearrest was done outside the premises of the court. He also confirmed that the trending video was misleading and wondered why some people are bent on causing disaffection. He urged the department of state security to always tour the path of justice going forward Inspite of media bias.

Hear him" the rearrest of Mr Omoyele Sowore is the best decision in the circumstance, because his actions immediately after his release heightened anxiety of the masses and posed a great uncertainty for National Security.

The Bishop urged the federal government not to go outside the law in the process of ensuring National Security.

I don't know where to even start thanking you from.

The points you made are salient. Number one of which is the issue of education. Sincerely, the situation is worrisome.

To emphasize how 'strange' many Nigerians are, the initial and still lingering protest against border closure tells that 'they' do not even have the capacity to recognize or distinguish good from bad intention. To them, so long the directive does not directly put money into their pockets, it is a bad policy. Should they bother about the macroeconomics? The answer is no because it does not 'concern' them.

Since the history of Nigeria, I can say without fear or reservation, that no single government decision has offered this much leverage to boost our economy while churning out hundreds of thousands of jobs as the border closure.
Guy did you just say MACRO?, most people don't even know the meaning of MICRO environmental factors.
They think things just happened, they don't know that a lot thinking happened, before success begins to happen, I really pity this country.
