Matheusmartin:I believe she wants the woman to get married. But God will give her someone else who would love her. It is just that I want a woman who is my age mate or younger. |

emae009:They call people from Akwa Ibom and Cross river "Calabar people" At least that is what other tribes call us. |
At a certain point, she became angry over what she believed was my "inability to understand divine agenda". Everything the woman said to me was the most totally debasing thing someone has ever said to me, although it was certainly evident that she said those things to make me feel so unworthy to the extent of agreeing to marry the old woman from Kaduna. The truth in the matter is that even she herself did not believe what she was saying. I told her that before today, I had the opportunity and agency to have married an Igbo lady. But the only downside was the distance. She is a government employee also and it won't be reasonable for her to resign, leave her state and come to the North where I base. I remember another Igbo girl in Sokoto who, before she later got married, was urging me to go see her parents, but then, I was only a private school teacher who was also running a masters program. I didn't have money for such. Share your own experience if you have any. |
My experience is this: One Igbo woman saw me and asked to know whether I was married or not. I answered in the negative. She said as a lecturer, what is keeping me from marrying since federal government is paying us well? I told her I am praying to God about it. She said she is a pastor and she believed God was prompting her to find me a wife. She said she would introduce me to a very good lady whom I would really enjoy as wife. It was not quite 3 hours later when she sent someone to call me to see the lady. To my utter astonishment, she introduced me to one elderly woman who is from Kaduna. It was as much as I could do not to show my astonishment. After the old woman left, I told her I would prefer someone younger who is Igbo. She said age doesn't matter in marriage. I told her I am in my early thirties and how can I even marry someone who is 40, let alone someone who is above 50? It is my idea that the woman she introduced to me is her long time friend and age mate. She herself(ie the woman who introduced someone) has big children who are all in the University and polytechnic. She insisted that love, and not age, is what matters in matter. As for marrying an Igbo woman, she said no Igbo woman will ever condescend so low as to marry a Calabar man. She said she is an Igbo woman so she knows her tribe very well. I made her understand that my cousin is Calabar and is married to an Igbo beauty queen. I mentioned up to 6 Calabar men I personally know who are married to Igbo. She said an Igbo lady can only marry a Calabar man if maybe she has a problem(like mental problem) which makes people to reject her, to the extent that it is only a Calabar man that she would finally condescend to marry. She was just insulting my tribe. I told her that the former governor of Akwa Ibom, and the present minister of Niger Delta is a Calabar man married to Igbo woman. [Modified: Please note that people call those from Akwa Ibom and Cross river "Calabar". That is my observation.] My idea now is that I can never accept any woman brought by this woman, because she will never give me something good. Any woman she brings must be low because she believes that low women fit Calabar men. She said if I don't like that other Kaduna woman, she would introduce me to another woman. But I know on a high state of conviction that she will not bring someone good to me because of the way she looks down on my tribe. She doesn't believe my tribe can marry someone better. Please share your experience. |
Another person was a boy who liked insulting other children yet he didn't have any power. He could see a girl and start cursing her, standing at a distance. When the girl went towards him,he would be running. When the girl later caught him one day and started beating him, throwing him on the ground and sitting on top of him while beating him, he would say everything he was asked to say. The girl could ask him to say " I will always eat your shit, I will always obey you,I will always wash your clothes and do chores for you" He would say all these. But no sooner was he allowed to go than he began to curse the girl while running away from her. I don't know whether he is still alive. He wasn't normal afterall. |

Another one was when I was an undergraduate. There was this old lecturer in Mathematics who was always very funny. When he wanted to choose an example to solve,he would say " Let me choose a simple example so that I will not fumble." I use to think that since he had a PhD,he should choose the toughest examples and solve them without fumbling while solving, since it is just an undergraduate Mathematics. He would say something like " So you want me to try this hard example, so that if I cannot solve it, you will laugh." Another thing is that if he wanted to apply a theorem to solve a problem,he would say " Let's invoke (so and so theorem)", as if it is evil spirit that is being invoked. Anytime he solved a problem and encountered a difficulty,he would ask " What is cooking?" Everyone would answer "Afang Melon" There were many other things he said and did that were funny. |

My own are these: When I was yet very small, there was a man whom people use to call Udiong. Always, you would see him driving bicycle and passing on the roads. Whenever children saw him, they would say " Udiong, please carry me(on your bicycle)" He would reply: "May rain water carry you." " Let ocean carry you. " " Let untimely death carry you." " Let wild animals carry you." He would get down from his bicycle and be pursuing , throwing stones and cursing the children who would be running and laughing. Another one was a woman whom people nicknamed "sweet voice". Whenever people had seen her and hailed her by the name "sweet voice", she had always answered: " May your goats have sweet voice, may your children have sweet voice, may all things that belong to you have sweet voice." Another one was a very huge boy called "Big Goat " by the people. If a child called him that,he would leave everything and be pursuing him/her. Please share your own experience with funny people. |
As a male, if you have much fat in your body, the body will move the fat to your stomach. As a female, it will move the fat to your buttocks. It doesn't move fat to the stomach for women because it could negatively affect the safety of the womb and the baby inside. That is why a woman has bigger buttocks when she eats too much and a man has bigger stomach if he eats too much. This happens against the backdrop of a natural/normal setting. But if a woman starts having protruding stomach,it is dangerous for her womb, and it could be her body mistakenly recognizes her as a man. Maybe her body thinks she is a man. Otherwise how do you explain a woman with flat buttocks and big stomach. |
Let me explain some mysteries: Whenever someone stays in a house or a place,he/she leaves behind some parts of himself/herself. Just like whenever you touch something, you leave your DNA on the thing. This is on the physical aspect of it. On the spiritual aspect, the same thing happens when you stay in a place, you leave part of your spiritual self behind. If the person is wicked,he may leave behind a wicked part of himself. This wicked part may start troubling another person who later occupies the place/room/house,etc. Some people may think it is demons disturbing them, not knowing it is the spiritual part of someone/people who occupied the place before. If 30 people occupied a place at one point or another, they would leave behind 30 personalities. So you need to pray and clean the place from every evil personalities left behind. This explains why so many places on Earth are haunted, because so many people are wicked and drop evil personalities wherever they go. |

In the court, someone says something like " He shot me three times, and then left me, thinking I am dead." The judge or the prosecutor would(more likely than not) ask the man " Are you dead?" Or " Did you die?" Is these questions necessary? What if the man answered " Yes i died" Or " Yes i am dead" Will the judge accept that the man who is standing before him has died or is dead? If not, why then do judges, lawyers and prosecutors ask such questions? During Oputa panel trials, the judge asked Oladipo Diya "If you see Abacha can you recognize him?" Diya answered that it was not possible to see someone who is dead and buried. He wondered whether the judge was trying to scare people present with the idea that Abacha could appear in their midst. But the judge insisted that he must answer the question. |
Some FTI will receive their salaries today. |
CertyAgroAllied:Says who? As if I and others don't buy chicken. |
Spidermon:Ok. |
Spidermon:How much do you suppose they should sell it? Here you can buy chicken less than N1000. So if the seller buys his chicken less than N1000, prepares it and sells it N1500,is it suspicious? Here,a Hausa man will almost never try to cheat his own brothers, that is why they make moderate profit, because everyone is watching each other and any attempt by any Hausa man to make so much profit could result in him being labelled a fake Muslim. Although there are some who dupe and exploit people while selling. But many of them try to avoid such. |
I cannot begin to understand why it should be sold for N4500. Here in Katsina, I buy full chicken, well prepared for N1500. |
The thing is very simple: Ask the school which accepted you that you prefer to serve in the polytechnic, that you should be allowed to go. If they release you, you go. If they don't release you, you go. They don't have a say as such, so even if you leave without their consent, nothing will happen, as long as another place has accepted you, and you have made NYSC aware of your new PPA. But more likely than never, the school will let you go if you tell them there is another PPA on your dashboard which you prefer. They know you are not rejecting them but you are choosing between 2 options. If you choose the polytechnic,it is legal and even NYSC cannot say that you rejected your PPA. You don't reject your PPA, but you are choosing between 2 PPA's which is legal in every definition of the word "Legal". You need to do another documentation and it won't affect you negatively after this. During my own time, some people had experience similar to yours and it didn't affect them at all. |

Some people just want to serve for the experience of it. I have seen a rich guy whose story is a very long one. As at the time I am typing this,he is still insisting he must go for service not because he wants the allowance but to get the experience. He said he has resolved to spend only the 3 weeks in camp, because he is already a federal government worker with an exemption certificate as a graduate from one private University. His issues with the second University has been resolved and he has been awarded a degree. He wants to take permission from his work place, just to experience the 3 weeks camp. In the camp, you will surely see elderly people you are coming for service. If the lady actually wants to serve, she should find out from people in her University who know what can be done. My friend swore affidavit and was permitted to serve. |
1stExplorer:By now, so many men would have sent you DM. Please beware of them and stick to your lover. Some of them have 3 things in mind: 1) Sex (which is the main reason some of them will ever DM a woman) 2) To get your money 3) To dupe/harm you in one way or the other. There are good men although. There are also few who may want you to treat them the way you are treating your lover. But you can't be too sure of who is who. You are actually a great woman and I believe your lover will enjoy it when you people get married. Although I didn't see anything in the video to indicate that you really took your boyfriend out. I only saw you, the restaurant and the food without anything as close as possible to indicate that you actually took your man out. Someone is of the idea that you are actually trying to advertise the restaurant and your videos. Bye. |
criuze:Ok. By 2023, when he steps down, and you think about him, you will no longer be angry. What will matter then will not be today. If things turned out very well by then, you will be surprised that your thoughts about the past (ie today) will even be pleasant. That is why they say The good old days. One psychologist said " Do not fail to appreciate today while you are still in it, because by tomorrow, you will surely miss today. " It doesn't always mean that old days were good and pleasant when you experienced it. It is mostly pleasant when you have passed it and you are looking at it in retrospect. Time changes yesterday from bad to good. |
Bodmum:Ok. |
SportsHD:Ok. But for now, nothing like that. |
If you actually want to be sober, try to remember all aspects of your life before today. For example, try to remember how you were a small boy or girl, playing with other kids. To you then, that is all what mattered. But now, it doesn't matter. Even so, today will no longer matter to you in the next few/many years. So don't take today very serious, because soon,it won't matter. Also try reading history books. It will lead you into the recognition that your life on Earth will come to an end, just as people lived yesterday, did a lot of things, even better than you are doing, but today they're no more. You won't be far from the realization that most things achieved yesterday did not continue forever. For example,Nebuchadnezzar built Babylon, but today Babylon is no more. |
Another thing that makes me sober is when I remember yesterday. The same way yesterday does not matter anymore to us, is the same way today will not matter in the next many years. In the past, you must have been offended or abused by someone or something, but today you don't even remember it again, or even if you remember,it doesn't matter anymore to you. So you have to see today as the yesterday of tomorrow. That's why they say "Time changes yesterday" because the yesterday that looked so offensive and distressing when you were in it, over time, you don't feel it again, but may even feel it was good. Whatever you experienced yesterday, which did not feel good, over time you either feel good about it or you no longer feel bad about it. This underscores the need for self restrain instead of reacting negatively and complicating things over a situation which will not matter in the next few/many years. |
To me, one of the premier reasons I become sober is the recognition that one day, I and everyone who is presently alive will no longer be on this Earth, just like there were people in the other centuries like the 15th,16th,17th,18th centuries who lived but now all of them have left this Earth. By 2121, hundred years from today, everyone presently alive will be all dead. By then, you may be in heaven although. But I am talking about you living on the Earth. This underscores the reason we should not allow things to worry us, because no matter what,we will never leave this Earth with anything. Why do you get so angry or worried about anything of which you will not live forever to enjoy on the Earth? So if someone or something has offended you,or something doesn't turn out the way you wanted, you should let it go, because,by 2100, you will not be alive to continue enjoying what you are getting offended about. NOTHING MATTERS IN LIFE APART FROM HAVING FOOD TO EAT, CLOTHES TO WEAR, AND SHELTER TO REST YOUR HEAD. EVERY OTHER THING IS NOT NECESSARY AS YOU WON'T TAKE THEM WITH YOU WHEN LEAVING THE EARTH. YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE MORE THAN SOLOMON OR ALEXANDER THE GREAT, WHO DESPITE THEIR ACHIEVEMENT, LEFT THE EARTH WITH NOTHING. Can you mention something which when you think about, it makes you sober and humble. |
