chomiq3: Thanks Vicjustice sorry about that mix up. I have read through the thread but didn't answer my question. Can my friend who's only providing my accomodation and feeding send a scanned copies of his invitation letter, utility bill, tenancy agreement, biodata of his passport and resident permit for my UK visiting visa application?
If indeed you read through, you'd see that your question was answered in the note part

I came across this thread while looking for advice related to my visa difficulties. I have to say the responses on this thread have been amazing, kudos to you guys!

I hope you'll be able to give some advice in my case. My husband will be applying for a family visit visa to visit my parents for two weeks (hopefully in August), I'll be accompanying him on the flight (I'm british). He was previously refused before we were married due to insufficient funds on his part(even though I was sponsoring him at the time, I had a job and was living in the uk) as well as insufficient ties to the country he was applying from(he had been in his job for a year, which they stated wasn't long enough).

This time it will be My parents who will be sponsoring him, as I moved to his country to join him and have yet to find a job, but I do have an ample amount of savings. But like previously, I'm worried the same problem will arise. He has savings of over £1500 and about the same amount in his current account. He will have an additional payment of over £1000 for freelance work he has done, which Im worried when deposited into his account might look a bit suspicious to a visa official, like mentioned in this thread it could look like "Money Lodgement". So we're both not sure what to do *dilemma* He has now been in the same job for over 2 years and has just rented a new apartment with a years contract (Will this be sufficient? I'm overloading myself with info from everything I've read and over worrying myself.

Any advice at all, would be great.
Thanks in advance.

A bit of additional info, I've looked into help from a visa specialist but wondering whether I should save money and do it myself, or let the specialist handle the application.

I won't recommend sponsorship by your own parents, he is a married man, therefore, it is expected of him to be capable of self sponsor, or alternatively, you (as his spouse) can sponsor him.
Let him not make the mistake of depositing money into his account unless he is able to provide comprehensive and credible evidence of the source of the money.
Warning! Flee from whoever that "agent" is who accords himself a "visa specialist", s/he could get your husband into a huge trouble that may get him banned from the UK for 10 years: you don't need any "agent" unless you want to waste your money and get banned as a result of their error

Thanks for your response vicjustice. I was thinking this but by me not having a job at the moment play a part in their refusal? I have over 8k, so for 2 weeks more than sufficient. I'm not sure whether 3k on his part will be ok in terms of the eyes of the visa official.
Right, no depositing, I thought so, thank you.

It's ok, the visa specialist was recommended by the citizens advice beaureu in the uk as well as our local MP. They're well known. But I didn't know hiring one for help would result in a ban.

I thought you were talking about some mischievous syndicate (in Nigeria) professing to be a "visa agent". Well, I still don't see any need for the service of an agent whether in Nigeria or abroad.
However, as neither you nor your husband has a job, it would be reasonable for for the visa officer to refuse his application on employment ground as this is a basic requirement to fulfill.

haha no no, I wouldn't go looking down some back ally for help in that sense.
Thankfully my husband has a job, just my mind is telling me the money saved and has in the current account won't be enough, hence why I thought it might be best for my parent as they both have a steady income and good savings. We will be staying at my parents house, so if he were to apply as himself as sole sponsor wouldn't he still need some type of sponsor letter from my parents for us to stay at their house?
Sorry, to go on, just making sure I have everything out on the table before I make any choices smiley

Oh, I thought he doesn't have a job, my mistake.
So now, as he has a job and does not have sufficient fund, you can be his sponsor while his job represents a tie to Nigeria, and your parents can write a declaration of accommodation details.

How will you prove to the ECO that he is your guidance? Yes your guidance, mum and daddy are the only people that can sponsor you but do you have any legal paper to back up the claim that he is your guidance? If you can't then open a bank account and let him transfer all the money into your bank account.

Money lodgement does not come into picture with student visa application, you can deposit the whole amount once and leave it there for 28days before making your application.

ayobj:

congratulations.
i am happy i contributed a small quota to this project.
bring back goodies for the boys!!!!!!!!!!lol grin
summer is going to expensive.
with 4 kids.
try and get close to 1.5million or 2 million naira.
dont know what your accomodation plans are.if staying in hotel or apartment, then not too good
Preferably buy your tickets now.it will be much cheaper.
congrats once again

@ayobj
Thanks ayobj, all the goodies for everyone o.
summer is expensive in uk,with all my searches, the cost of accommodation is seriously high, well we dont have anyone in the uk at all,so we booked an hotel accomodation when we applied for the visa but just found a vacation rental that is cheap and in central london zone 2,its far cheaper than the hotels too.yes our budget is within that range, and with the tickets cheap now, guess its better to buy now as you advised.its a once in year or once in many year event too,I owe it to my family this time really, this promise has been on for a foreign vacation for over 3 years now...I guess its just time.I hope we are able to do a france one day trip to disney land too. Thanks so much.

justwise:

Congratulations, enjoy your trip with your family.
Thanks Justwise,I appreciate all your replies to my emails.Thank you.

vozkini: @Adeogooba,
Congrats and enjoy your trip with your family.

Two thing to look at
FIRST She mut proove good links that will ensure return home after visit, Job, property, investments.
Your Uncle will need to show that accomodation is suitable, has spare room and permission for visitors. (Not single room flat!)
If she is single with no job then chances of visa are very small. They will think she is just trying to get entry to stay, sorry.
