Radautoworks did mention in the invoicing and video that the Oil Pressure switch was changed, furthermore, eerything in the TSB was done except step 10.

I'd also attach a shot of the invoice which she posted, and just so you know, everything on that invoice was done for free, such magnanimity.

The issue is not about road worthiness. The laws back that up. Vehicles bought brand new mist be subjected to road worthiness checks after two years from the date of first registration.
They are only exempt in the first two years.
Tokunbo vehicles or other vehicles are subject to road worthiness checks and certification.

This news is about hackney permit for private vehicles.

Private vehicles used for private purposes are not required to possess hackney permits. This is where the VIO and those touts get it wrong.

You see them stopping private buses and pickup trucks requesting for hackney permits which is not backed by the law.

A privately registered vehicle does not need hackney permit by law.

Now I'm a bit confused. Does this mean if I get a car for 2000 euros, I'm going to pay 70% of that? Or do I pay 70% of what the car worths in Naija market?.

For new cars, it's now 35% duty and 5% levy.
There are other charges.

For older cars (Tokunbo), it's just 35% duty.

There are also other charges.

Basically for tokunbo, customs will use a value determined by them based on their valuation book (all cars under the sun known to customs have a value in their valuation book).

That value is in dollars. An exchange rate will be applied. Exchange rate is determined by customs using the official exchange window.

That value (surface duty) multipled by 1.38 is what customs will bill you. Then there are other charges and your agents commission as well.

Customs does not use your purchase price to determine duty payable on your car.

The M272 KE engine yours has/had is very different from the M276 DE35 engune his unit is bearing. Yours is a port injection, his is direct injection.
