It's a bloody stupid thread. Try as much as you want, opinions have been formed and an agenda is being pushed. Even if you show them the picture of a totalled rolls royce wraith, the following won't change:
1. IS250 was poorly designed
2. The car cannot handle 300 horsepower
3. The car has 0 crash rating
4. It has poor driving dynamics
5. It can only be purchased by yahoo boys
6. All IS250 drivers are yahoo drivers who can't drive and it's their first car.
7. They all know better than Lexus.

The 2010-2013 rx350 is a newer model car compared to the 2010-2013 mdx which actually debuted in 2007.
As a result, it has newer features and newer bells and whistles. The rx350 also has better mpg and that's about it.
The Acura mdx with shawd beats it in handling, driving dynamics, off-roading capability and cargo space if you have a large family.
The honda pilot is also good but the rx350 trumps it in all categories asides cargo or interior space being a newer car.

I wouldn't talk about the Santa Fe. Never used it and never rated it. It's cheap though but replacement parts can be pricey.

If mpg is a concern and you don't have need for a 7 seater and off-roading, get the rx350.
The 2010 - 2013 rx350 will set you back about 6.5m - 7m to get one while the 2010-2013 mdx will cost you about 4m - 5m to get one.

Oga shut up... The is250 I was referring to in my post cannot carry a 300hp engine. If you mean the is350 then yes but the 250 has a really small engine bay. You don't just talk abeg.

You still have a lot to learn. It may be a faceless forum but decorum and manners are still required. It will help you in real life as well.

Engine horsepower is not necessarily determined by engine size.
The formula 1 engines weigh far less than the engine in the is250 and occupy less space yet they churn out power in excess of 400hp.
You can cram that engine into the engine bay of the is250 and it will fit. There are many engines north of 300hp that can be crammed into the engine bay of the is250 and it will fit. The engine in an is250 can be tuned to churn out over 300hp by tuners.

If it's an awd, disconnect the propeller, then tow with the front tyres off the ground. Or get a flatbed tow truck that will carry the vehicle with the four tyres off the ground if it's an awd. If it's fwd, tow with the front tyres off the ground. Fail to do this and you will be buying a new trans in lagos.

If your mdx is an awd, make sure the rear differential is disconnected from the transmission. To do this, disconnect the propeller, then tow with the front tyres off the ground. Do not tow that ride with the front tyres touching the ground. You will be buying a new transmission by the time you get to lagos.
