CrimeRe: Man Beats His Wife For Abandoning Their Baby To Club, Blasts Her Friend by 9jaRealist: 10:21am On Jun 13, 2019
Beedude:
At no point was it written in the post that the man was aware of her clubbing lifestyle before marriage. So that's a story for another day. But I don't know how we Nigerians don't like accepting who we are. We aren't Americans and no matter how exposed we are, some things just won't add up. The guy is wrong for battering her, there are many ways of dealing with a woman which is more painful than beating. We aren't Kanye west and Beyonce or Bonny and Clyde we are Africans. A married woman leaving a 5month old baby to club? If ur husband isn't the type that club I don't see any reason for a responsible married woman to go clubbing.

Some feminist may decide to start say blah blah about gender equality cos men go clubbing, but the fact is nothing like that exist in marriage. Since when bogus bride price and dowry has become a must for a man to pay before getting a wife. Everything about equality in marriage failed
Not that it’s really relevant, but...
In that case, he didn’t know her well enough to marry her. Still his fault!

Psoul:
U called abandoning a 5 month old baby to go and club with prostitutes that will assign a man to the woman for sex a menial and irrelevant offence?

Well, u are not married and don't even knw what it means to have children. When u get to that level, u will understand the man's feeling, that is, if u will chose to be a responsible parent.
So why did the man not “choose to be a responsible parent” and sit his own behind at home?
Perhaps because he himself was at a club with gigolos that “will assign a woman to a man for sex”?

Misogynistic Nigerians trying to pass off their misogyny as “responsible” parenting...
What sort of supposedly “responsible” parent BATTERS the mother of his still weaning baby? SMH

As much as I'm against men beating their partners, this is a well deserved panel beating. What sort of a woman or wife abandons her baby and family to go out on a night of skimpy and booze?

Not dropping them, but I'll distant myself. No matter how you want to see it, my dear within ourselves, we know things will always go wrong. Men matter is different. Man can go out with his single friends but will never forget home, it's unless there's more. But a woman, hmmmm, we too dey lost! What advice would a single lady give a married woman? What even advice will a married woman give a single lady?
There’s so much more to life than marriage...
Accordingly, some of us don’t limit the definition of people to “married” or “single”.

Agree you should distance yourself from anyone that may disrupt your marriage...
But that should be the case regardless of whether such a person is single or married.

Meanwhile, there so much more to learn about other aspects of life...
And I could only imagine how tideous life would be if friends only met to discuss marriage.

Since in this case she is an infant, i would like to believe he is a financial provider for his family.. and if he isn't him not seating at home doesnt justify her neglecting a child

that same case happened in calabar, the twins werent so lucky
Do you want me to google stories where mothers (even entire families) were burnt at home with their kids?
Of course ALL parents should do their best to minimize harm to their families - but that the DIRECT responsibility of BOTH parents.

Meanwhile, in this particular case nobody died or even got ill - and yet the BUM battered her and then had the effrontery to brag about it! SMH

He certainly was NOT out “financially providing” at night...
Anyway, funny that his tweet never mentioned the baby, but fixated on the possibility of his wife being introduced to other men.

its either the man beats her to protest such gravely mistake or file a law suite on child negligence and let her go to prison for a long time so Captain save a hoee, should he beat her? do nothing? or file a criminal law suite?
Don’t like to use the horrible tragedies of others to make polemic points...

It isn't gender specific or only for the Parents, if i leave my kid with a nanny and she drops her and abscond to a club, she's damn guilty of negligence. regardless of if the nanny is male or female. If the man left his baby safely in her care and she is for any reason tired of such responsibility, she has to wait for him or look for him, at worst look for someone of a certain age to properly hand her over to
If the dude believes only parents can adequately care for kids, he should have sat his behind at home as well...
Nonetheless, going by the dude’s tweet, he seemed more concerned with the possibility of his wife meeting other men at the club.

I don’t understand gibberish, so my counsel would be that you try to use plain English... cheesy
Nonetheless, I will try to make enough sense of your post to respond to only the relevant points.

First, never said no Nigerian bank was listed in Ghana. I said ALL of the Nigerian banks operating in Ghana are listed in Nigeria. Accordingly, Access Bank is listed on the Nigerian bourse, even though it’s local Ghanaian sub is listed on the local Ghana bourse. Not sure why you seem apparently befuddled by something so straightforward. Meanwhile, Ecobank is neither a Nigerian nor Nigeria-originated bank. Even though it was started by a majority of Nigerian shareholders, it is actually a multinational bank headquartered in Lomé Togo (where it enjoys diplomatic status). Finally, I am glad to see that you have LEARNT that merely operating locally or trading on the local bourse does not necessarily indicate local ownership. As I said, please try to use every discussion (especially those involving subject matter that you obviously do not have a firm grasp on) as a LEARNING opportunity. It is never to late to LEARN and frankly no education is wasted. Cheers.

PS: The rest of your crude and uncouth xenophobic drivel does not interest me in the least bit, so thanks but no thanks.

grin grin grin

Hopefully, you will get “annoyed” enough to open your mind up to some knowledge....
Because frankly the more your write the more you betray a lack of understanding of basic concepts.

Yes, investors should repatriate profits to their home countries. Why not? Is business a charity because it’s conducted in a different country? Nonetheless, what you so glaringly fail to comprehend is that it is still a “win-win-win” situation because direct and indirect jobs are created in the host nation (and since I suspect that you probably may not understand what indirect jobs are, they are all those jobs and services that support or are patronized by people with jobs or businesses), wealth is generated within the host nation, and tax revenues (both corporate taxes paid by the investor and income taxes paid by all those individuals who now have jobs) accrue to the host nation’s treasury, which the host government can invest in physical and social infrastructure (the latter including such things as education, healthcare and mass transit). Accordingly, while a crude xenophobe like you are annoyed that Nigerians are investing in Ghana, I WELCOME South African (and other foreign) investment into the Nigerian economy, and hope that enlightened Africans (not xenophobes) will champion intra-African investments!

Meanwhile, Toyota Corporation is ONE company that is triple-listed in Tokyo, New York (NYSE) and London. Companies like Toyota USA and Toyota UK or Toyota Canada are mere subsidiaries of the parent company. The are NOT listed companies and are neither listed nor publicly-traded among Americans, Britons or Canadians. Furthermore, even when a corporation is listed on a local bourse, it does NOT necessarily mean that nationals/citizens would hold majority shares. Stock exchanges (including African exchanges like Nigeria, Johannesburg and probably Nairobi) are open to trading and shareholding (including majority holding) by FOREIGN direct and/or portfolio investors. Nonetheless, Access Bank is the ONLY Nigeria-originated bank listed on the Ghanaian bourse, while all of the other Nigerian banks (like GTB, Zenith, UBA, and First Bank) are NOT locally-listed and have NO significant (if any) local Ghanaian shareholding.

Please stick to the topics that you know, and at least be enlightened and broad-minded enough to see every discussion as a LEARNING moment/opportunity and thus allow yourself to learn subjects that are obviously alien to you. Cheers. cheesy

Your cheapness disguised as a history lesson didn't move me and I bet any South African in any way because we know our own history, but like I said before we will never let criminals blackmail us because their grandfathers gave ours a jersey when he couldn't afford one. We still have a good relationship with countries like Ghana , these are people who came into the country to lend a hand in education when they could have been killed , but we don't hear them chest beating like hungry Tarzans about this . You didn't see any SAns protesting when the government said people of Ghana can visit SA without any visas , you know why ? That is because they do not pose a threat to the citizens, they mostly contribute positively . Now imagine if that was Nigeria? shocked the whole country would have burned lol. You need to ask yourselves why every nation sees you as criminals . I know there are Nigerians doing great things around the world , that include SA as well but the overwhelming majority of the nation wreckers you unleash on every nation on earth cannot be overlooked . SA has her own problems and miscreants but ours are not going around causing havoc everywhere and making us look like natural criminals , you will only meet them here . Do your own soul searching as a country before giving out "history " lessons.

you see, this is a clear example of naivety.Do you want me to list the number of South African banks, huge shoplines, beverage companies, telecommunication companies and many investments that runs into billions of dollars in Nigeria alone.I have never heard of any South African making or mentioning these points in any discussion or banter among themselves or with any Nigerian. These so called investments are purely private individuals and cooperations and benefit these individuals mostly so in no way should anybody make mention of these investments in any discussions besides it's you Nigerians who normally threaten South Africa to boycott all their giant cooperations products and services in Nigeria during such discussions buh when it gets to Ghana, you rather make mention of these private Nigerian companies presence in Ghana as a means of pride or for whatever purpose you wish to achieve thus listing these cooperations.Do I have to tell you that Glo is virtually dead and a failed network in Ghana and no matter how Dangote cement is subsidized in terms of prices in Ghana is almost out of business due to the monopoly of Ghacem cement in Ghana for decades and these Nigerian banks are mostly struggling due to the 400 million cedis minimum capital stipulated by the Bank Of Ghana(Central Bank) and most having half of their shares owned by Ghanaians.
Feel free to refer to the post of the South African who first responded to my comment... grin grin grin

Nonetheless, to be brutally honest, I must confess that your post is most underwhelming and frankly betrays a misapprehension and misunderstanding of several basic concepts. For instance, what exactly about investment being “a win-win-win” situation was too difficult to grasp. Investments are generally (admittedly not always, but generally) a GOOD thing for both the host nation and the investors, which is why many nations go around soliciting investments and why many nations invest so much effort in improving the ease of doing business. So (again unlike you), I see investments not as control but rather something to welcome and I gladly WELCOME South African businesses in Nigeria.

Now, I will not degenerate into the childishness of discussing individual businesses, albeit Zenith Bank just built a magnificent new headquarters at the Ridge which was even personally commissioned at the end of 2017 by the Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo himself, while other Nigerian banks are opening new branches and Dangote Cement evolved from importing cement into Ghana to building and operating a 1.5mty plant at Tarkoradi, and has even indicated interest in investing in sugar production and refining in Ghana. Finally, Nigerian banks in Ghana are listed on the Nigerian bourse, and thus if there is any significant Ghanaian ownership it would be published. There is NOT!

Yet again, I plead for you to feel free to miss me with this frankly primitive balkanization and (stripped of all intellectual pretensions) crude xenophobic discourse. I am extremely HAPPY to witness Africans invest all over Africa! To me, it brings people together and intertwines our collective faith and destinies, making it less likely that Africans will indulge in the sorts of crude stereotyping and crass xenophobia on display.
