dayokanu: Gomez would probably leave.

It also depends on whether we get lewandoski, Also we know Robben would be injured at some time. We have a lot of games too, Super CUp, Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, Champions league, Intercontinental Cup in japan

Several games to go around as long as Pep rotates properly.

I also think he would do a lot of experimentation even though some might be extremely silly
I'm sure reservoir dog Sammer would be there to put him in check if e start to dey do overskill. The Gomez issue is a conundrum! He is clearly producing I saw somewhere that only Messi has a higher goal per minute ratio! I say we keep him till we are sure of landing Lewandowski I'm not confident with just Mandzukic leading the line! Gomez is a sensitive ninja tho I expected him to fight for his place but he seems to have mentally checked out

Btw what's the status on Rafinha? We need an understudy for Lahm

dayokanu: One his adviser is a slowpoke. How would he allow him to sign a long term contract for just 15m with Nike

Secondly cant he just wear a shirt with a small inconspicuous Nike logo

Seems we have another douche on our hand. Not like its a new thing. Ribery, Robben, Effenberg etc were all douchebags to some extent
Omode lo n se! I think Bayern and Nike shoulda arranged some sort of settlement prior to the event. Adidas is a stakeholder at Bayern so probably those contingencies should have been prepared for! So long has he backs his "douchebaggery" with performances on the pitch then its all good

1.3 million pounds a year isn't too shabby tho he was only 19 when he signed that deal

All that one na paparazzi!! My main concern is how Pep deploys him either as a false 9 or right sided winger or behind the main striker! Our attacking 4 is blessed with a plethora of options and finding the right one is the most important thing

Mandzukic
Ribery Gotze Muller

Mandzukic
Shaqiri Kroos Robben

Gomez
Ribery Muller Gotze

Gotze
Shaqiri Kroos Robben/Muller

Depending on the opposition options yapa!

dayokanu: And Gotze steps in with the wrong foot Wearing a Nike shirt to a Bayern- Adidas company event

An Adidas spokesman: "We were negatively surprised by the pictures of Mario Götze at the press conference. This is a violation of contract, because this was an official FC Bayern Munich event. We already discussed the issue with Bayern."

Götze's agent: "Mario was instructed by Nike to wear the shirt."
Looool this is hilarious some sort of settlement/agreement should have been made so that Gotze would not have to don a Nike product at his unveiling

usbcable: READ the posts by Ortopazz above to see why his stint at madrid is "positive" but not just "good enough" for the appetities of some folks in madrid
Ok positive but by Mourinho's standard a failure! Happy?

usbcable: how does the above factors now translate to being a failure. used to think "objective criticism" would say not winning trophies or not defeating "big european clubsides" or not surpassing what has been the norm for years in an environment is seen as failure and not the above.
or would we say because Tito lost UCL and CDR in horrendous fashion transalates to him being a failure this season?
What was Tito's pedigree compared to Mourinho? Apples and oranges.
How many trophies did he win in Spain compared to his previous sojourns? Ok maybe not failure but least successful

I don't make judgements on just number of goals scored let's judge all round performances for club and country. Their decisiveness in big matches! Mata.Lampard or Fabregas would more often than not manage more assists than Pirlo or Xavi so can we assume they are better midfielders
Victor Valdes has three champions league medals is he better than Buffon? Its not by joining big clubs you have to consider their strength as at when he joined them! let's not even count the times he spent Italy cos he was injured half the time

MRbrownJAY: was i the only one who saw Alonso struggle to overtake RICCIARDO (of all people) and was behind him for a good SIX laps?! let me not even start on him not being able to overtake Sutil?! abeg, this car is not competitive!
i would understand if it was a Lotus or RBR but lets be honest here....... that Ferrari aint got it to compete against the RBR speed.
The Force India has been very solid this year!! Waaay better than last year I remember plus after all that tire drama its possible Alonso was playing it safe. Ricciardo is probably eyeing Webber's seat next year so expect him to be more competitive! That car is very good abeg! Alonso can't keep getting all the credit everytime

MRbrownJAY: fastest what?! come on man, only a very bias person would say that the Ferrari is faster than the RBR these days. we didnt see it in practice, we didnt see it in qualifying and we certainly didnt see it during the race. so pls share with us WHEN exactly you saw that the Ferrari was the fastest car out there this weekend?!?!?!?!?!
Arguably! Its certainly not the RBR! Ferrari always qualifies poorly but ends up there and abouts on race day unlike the Mercs that do well in qualifying only to wind up flunking the race! I don't think its simply just down to driver talent alone we have witnessed a pattern here

MRbrownJAY: here are facts for you: while Vettel was in the race, he was lapping close to 1sec faster than Alonso, ON EVERY LAP....Alonso was only faster than Vettel on FIVE laps (lap 12, 30, 32, 33 and 34) out of the 40 laps Vettel did before his DNF. yet you have the audacity to say that the Ferrari is the fastest out there?! come on bro! just because Alonso was "lucky" to pit before the last safety car, thus having fresh tyres to overtake 5 "struggling" drivers (tyrewise), doesnt make the Ferrari the fastest car out there. see how Ham, with tyres that were 4 laps older than Alonso's tyres, was gaining on Alonso at the end of the race.
that car is NOT competitive!
This is easily explainable by the fact that Vettel was in front! Its common sense that with free air in front of you more often than not you would lap faster than people in the midfield! If Alonso was in similar position he would have been able to accomplish the same. Its well documented that the Ferrari's are better suited for race day so you guys should stop making him out to be some type of superman

I BEG TO DIFFER.

In his three seasons he all local trophies available.

Just because he didnt win the la decima dont translate to him being a failure.

You guys are just hell bent on creating the impression he failed. Unfortunately, your sourjourn in this crusade will still end up as the failure you want to impress on him.

Jose "The Happy One" Mourinho.
Loooool! Was he brought to win local trophies?? Come on man unlike the rest I have nothing against Mourinho I mean even he would admit his tenure in Spain was a failure!

Heaviest defeat. Check
Home unbeaten record broken. Check
Finals unbeaten record broken. Check
Trophyless season. Check

Plus he won just 1 league title in 3 attempts only 1 cup in 3 attempts too! Let's not even talk about his off the pitch indiscretions

Funny how good the Mercs are in practice and probably qualifying as well @ Silverstone its very possible that either of them would wind up on pole position whether they can stay there is anyone's guess
Vettel looks ready to pounce tho plus Alonso has been awful this weekend

MRbrownJAY: ^^^ i think, after a long yr looking at everyone exhaust, Ham will certainly reconsider his position on pay check. as brave as he may be, he wants to win races and only a fool would think that the Mercedes car can bring the glory that such fantastic driver requires. at the end of the day, these guys want to WIN TROPHIES, thats the only way they will be remembered....... thats what makes the difference.
Loool he went for the mullah tho! Let's see if he changes his stance because he couldn't possibly convince anyone that he joined the mercs to be able to compete

Well with Ribery,Schweinsteiger and Robben in their 30's next season they could use a little less playing time. Kroos is still one of the finest young midfielders in Europe with his best years ahead of him! We need him!

- Lopez
- Deron Williams
- Joe Johnson

Now this looks like the 3rd best team in the East; after Heat & Pacers. Definitely at par with Bulls
Fhemmmy: Looks good on paper, but will wait to see them all play together and see how they will perform, at the beginning of last year, Lakers bough so much power guys and talent and yet were not able to get anywhere.
On paper this is a solid team it really is! Even better than the Heat and Pacers!! The biggest issues here are age and chemistry throw in a rookie coach in Jason Kidd and there's no telling how this might end

Back to the Celtics era before the Big 3. Bad basketball and stinking the joint. unless they can get a decent coach. But who wants to coach a team whose core will be Rondo, Gerald Wallace. Humphries, & Brandon Bass?

Oh boy! C's fans will endure a long period of crying, teeth gnashing and agony
Danny Ainge is only facing reality! Pierce and KG would not lead the Celts to another title Ray Allen is gone! What's the point in keeping their big salaries? I'm sure Rondo would leave too

Its tough being a sports fan in MA these days with the Celtics with Aaron Hernandez with the Bruins losing when it rains it pours

I don't think the Knicks have a choice here after foolishly overpaying for Tyson Chandler and Amare Stoudemire. JR is the only one that can help Melo in their scoring department and also their only option off the bench more or less
