I beg to differ ooh! Djourou has been our best defender this season. I agree though that its no use talking about this game anymore! Definitely not watching the Leyton Orient game if dem like make dem no win. Lets see how it goes on Saturday when Sunderland come to town and then to our biggest fixtures yet next wekk

Its not that we dont want to move on its that we know somewhere in the future an even bigger and more egregious mistake would be made in an even more important match. Or can you bet against that happening??
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by A40(m): 4:02pm On Feb 28, 2011
Even a Birmingham player slapped Koscielny for his stupidity grin grin if you saw the replays of the goal celebration

@Hannie
We had 22 shots on goal and 9 on target! Trust me creativity was not the problem. I do agree that perhaps Rozzi (I hope this is his last season at Arsenal) should have been taken off rather than Arshavin. Plus their goal was not really about them being daring! A simple hoof of the ball by Foster,Zigic wins a header and all Koscielny had to do was clear the ball out of sight! We do know how to make the simple things look difficult at Arsenal

@4llerbuntu
The boys didnt do good!! While Wenger is not a tactical genius i think he has tried for those players they should pity the old man and win him something

Biko, this thread is new so please spare me the agony of having to lock it up and clean posts. Thank you smiley

@Cougar
If Kos decided to stick with his plan of hoofing the ball, we for don help Shezny dey adjust him jaw o shocked.
Blame Kos all you want but perfoming very well in your first season as a defender in the EPL is a rarity! Kos is a good as they come, abi u wan tell me say nobody don commit dat type of blunder before huh Gerrard picked out Drogba with a perfect pass grin grin, Fergie literally cursed Johnny Evans parents in the UCL. . .Rafa Marques lob, the list is endless biko.
A simple kick to the corner flag or throwing flag woulda sufficed he made it too much of a big deal by trying to boot the ball and then miskicking it. Koscielny has tried emphasis on the word tried (you would not get more than that from me  grin grin ) Because some people done dey compare am to Maldini already when we all know say na Djourou dey do the work
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by A40(m): 2:25pm On Feb 28, 2011
As for the Martins goal Koscielny was clearly at fault its not like Szcesney had a fantastic game either but the keeper had every right to come for the ball but as a defender he had already committed himself to clear that ball and his gaffe put the goalie at a disadvantage! I have seen defenders boot the ball out of the stadium in situations like that regardless of what the keeper says because the worst result would be a throw-in or a corner. If una like make una talk say na because i dey beef Koscielny "oooor"

Isnt it ironic that we actually did what we had been guilty of not doing over the last 5 seasons and that was taking long-range shots!! But like Cech its not quite easy to beat Ben Foster with long range shots perhaps going for placement woulda helped lol or maybe this team is just cursed
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by A40(m): 2:01pm On Feb 28, 2011
@Hannie
Its no point arguing who should have played or shouldnt have notice i didnt say anything about Walcott or Fabregas. Because IMO its a big phocking disgrace for us to have been beaten by this Birmingham team despite the fact that the ref almost aided and abetted us. At times its almost like these players take joy from disgracing their fans cos just when you think they would turn the corner they wind up phucking up even more

@dipo2much
Sagna and Wilshere where actually at fault for the first goal look it up again

@Ibime
I questioned Rosicky's use at Arsenal after the Man U game and peeps said i was having a knee-jerk reaction! TBH even Arshavin had a stinker aside the assist he made!! I cant count how many attacks broke down because of him

@Duduspace
Yesterday's match has shown now that even if Chelsea,Man City and Man U go dead broke its not likely we would take advantage of their misfortune. No amount of financial fairplay would help a team that is simply not ready to win

No one absolutely no one brought their A-Game last night save not even Van Persie save for the goal if they did we woulda won comfortably! It is not a matter of who played or who didnt! This team has no heart just look at how Roger Johnson and Lee Bowyer kept on playing regardless of how many knocks they got! Ben Foster single-handedly kept his team in the game making save after save and most of our players where too lazy to stick a leg in and try to go for a rebound (insert Mario Gomez against Inter) and when they did they fluffed horribly.  You want to be optimistic and hope these boys go on and win something but they have shown too many times that they are just not ready

P.S (Someone should tell Sagna to stop crossing into an empty box 18! Its annoying each time he hoofs the ball in there knowing fully well no one is there)

He did miss a couple he could have scored but his touch made him always dangerous to the Munshit backline, the ball was never far from him no matter how it came to him near instantaneous mastery of the ball under considerable pressure back to goal. He might not have an adequate supporting cast while on national duty, he looked quite decent but then that is just in a single game.
Yeah i have seen him this season and he has easily been one of their best players hence my amazement cos he was really shitty at the last world cup and i doubt it had anything to do with his teammates

medjai:
Barrios actually does well for Paraguay. He only recently just naturalized to being a Paraguayan, he's an Argentinian. He made his NT debut just before the world cup and he even scored on his debut.
He's still behind Oscar Cardozo, Santacruz and Nelson Valdez in the pecking order for the Paraguayan NT.
He's been hot since last season. He and Nelson Valdes; another Paraguayan led Dortmund's attack last season.
Yeah i know but he saw loads of playing time at the last world cup and iits obvious he has remarkably improved

I would not vote for Buhari even if he made Rev Adeboye his running mate! Since 1984?? Wetin him still dey find?? Only in Nigeria would ex military men exchange their khaki for agbada without fuss and its quite a disturbing trend. This Barrios chap get touch sha, his ball control is impressive B52 could learn a lot from him.  grin grin
It is either that Barrios guy has made a quantum leap in his game or the Bundesliga is just a very weak league cos he has been useless beyond belief in Paraguayan colors

Where is Dayokanu?? I would have said we placed him on suicide watch but since he didnt run any commentaries at the start of the game and responded with a post after the game i'd say maybe he has just been too embarrassed to post
So what if sturridge is scoring the odd goal for Bolton, the fact is he's been at chelsea for nigh two seasons and he's hardly set the world alight. The sily boy should have stayed at citeh and not chased filthy lucre by going to chelsea. At the end of the chelsea would end up selling him to bolton which is just about his natural level, comparing him to torres is just so wrong, as much as it hurts me that he now wears blue he is a top class striker who once he gets his first goal would go on to score loads
Odd goal?? He has scored 4 goals!! More than Torres and Drogba combined in the last 4 games they have both played. Your problem is you guys dont give room for young strikers to develop! Dude is 22 year old tops did you think he would not improve with more playing time?? You would think Chelsea would be planning for the eventuality of Drogba and Anelka not being able to perform at the top level anymore
