Can you show proof of this? I comment on every player and not on Theo alone. If I seem to  come down hard on Theo, like I said it is because I see better players waiting in the wings in his position already in the squad without even needing to buy. I can't say the same for any other player in the squad no matter how bad they may appear to be.
And Wenger's stinginess has not made Clichy become a starter ahead of Arshavin at LWFhuh
Well if that is your opinion, yu're welcomed to it but I'd like you to know that most Arsenal fans don't agree with you on that. You can look here to confirm. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/man-of-the-match-against-liverpool-chamakh.
He scored more than Sagna, Clichy, some others and dare I say Theo in the Man of the match polls on the Arsenal site.
Whaat?? You wan deny am? Lets just do a quick ask-around i don't even need to say much on this matter. Who are these better players and at what point have they proven themselves against stiff opposition? Keep gassing yourself a few flash in the pan wins in the Carling Cup is not enough proof to show that these small children can produce consistently!! I don't even need to start drumming out the names of our so-called stars of the future that have ended up massive disappointments!

How can Clichy start ahead of Arshavin when he is the first choice LB? Dudu are you high?? Eboue's defensive frailties is the reason why he has been knocked out of his initial position in the first place. When clubs are getting world-class wingers we are busy managing Eboue on the flanks and you wonder why we have been trophyless!

By a miserly 1%?? you are a desperate nigga grin grin the only offensive player that started that he scored higher than was Eboue and Arshavin who everyone knew had a bad game so your link proves what?

duduspace:
Very fuzzy how people's memory can get with this we havent won anything in 5 years mantra, we beat Liverpool at every level we met them last season abi dem no dey traditional big 4 again? and I never said I had any issues with leaving Arshavin on, I prolly would if I were in Arsene's shoes, I was only pointing out that Wilshere being subbed off was not any judgement on his performance on the day.
I was talking about Europe Bros abi you don dey smoke gbana ni?? My point is Wilshere was poor enough to be the sacrificial lamb on the day if he was offering any threat he would not have been subbed. Shikena

mystikal:
Abeg, Diaby was the weakest link in that Match. Arshavin was his usual uninterested self.

If Wenger was coaching another team, I wouldnt hesitate to label his stubborness as cluelessness. For now I'll pretend he knows what he is doing.

You seem to be missing ma point - the OP is talking about folks who lack talent . . . but make up for it by promoting their songs with sexual imagery and themes (especially through vids) . . . one thang I've consistently stated here - I'm not being hypocritical 'bout anything . . . Firstly, I don't criticise Theo everytime, I did say on this same thread that he had an okay game when he played for the 3 lions last week, it is however my opinion that he is the worst attacking player in the Arsenal squad, I need no other proof than the fact that Eboue a converted RB is starting ahead of him as a RWF, if the only place he can make an impact is when played centrally then

I dont think he is good enough for us and he is taking a place in the squad that a more able player should be.
You are Theo's worst critic in this section i don't even think this is up for discussion even when it comes to events that don't concern him you still find a way of accusing him of something. Infact Obasanjo would be Pope. Louis Farrakhan would join the Ku Klux Klan and Osama would be U.N Secretary General before you put on your objective hat in matters concerning that nigga. The fact that Eboue is a starting RWF at times is simply proof of Wenger's stinginess and nothing else and we all saw the impact he made at Anfield didn't we?

Tell me something new there are a lot of players not good enough to be at Arsenal FC

duduspace:
How exactly can you say that Diaby had a stinker on Saturday? he is an holding player FFS and arsenal had 64% possesion what more could you ask for? he wasn't to blame for the goal we conceded, everyone knows it was upfront in the final third we had issues with an out of sorts Arshavin and Eboue being effectively checkmated by Agger, now it is you who is looking biased against Diaby if you can come on here and say he had a stinker against liverpool. If you take your Theo tinted glasses off, and put his run against liverpool in the UCL aside we'll be able to discuss the merits and demerits of each player sensibly.
Only Arshavin played significantly worse than Diaby that day!! Our possession was more of our numerical advantage than anything else besides there are very few matches we don't dominate possession however bad we play and this has nothing to do with Diaby! He was crap on the day. Shikena!!

duduspace:
Judging from 12 years of continuous UCL participation, it is hard to say this manager doesn't know what he is doing, players can be removed for whatever reasons, fatigue, tactics e.t.c. so subbing Wilshere might not have much to do with his performance on the day. Arshavin played much worse and was left on the pitch.
Nigga please! We have only crossed the quarters thrice in those twelve years! You give that dude too much credit! We are the worst team in Europe among the traditional big 4 plus we have lost to each and every one of them over two legs. Arshavin is more of a goal threat than Wilshere any manager woulda left him on any given Sunday

". . . won't the music videos sell without these semi-unclothed A*s gyrating girls?"

No one is being hypocritical or sanctimonious here . . . if these sex-themed artistes can make a hit and move great units - just with their audio release only . . . believe me we won't be having this debate.

If we dig deep into the archives, I'm sure even the hallowed names of every genre of music have subliminally referred to sex in their lyrics . . . but it would've become a problem if you ran a scan on their lyrics and overall talent . . . and discovered that these artistes relied predominantly on their raw themes and vids to sell . . . that's the point.
Its not about it selling or not its just simple logic!! If Y.Q sings emi o le so mo ti o fine then damnit we need to see fine girls in the video. Whether you like it or not Bamsyle humans are sexual by nature and people like Nikki Minaj (The girl can actually rap when she wants to i don't know why people are fronting on her) and Lady Gaga have proven that. Music like any other business is all about evolution and as time goes on things would take their natural course and artistes that can't adapt or are too monotonous would get extinct. At times even adverts about cars contain half unclothed ladies touched up to look like cars . . . pray, tell me - what's the relationship between a car and a semi-unclothed chick??

And A-40 even missed the point I was tryna make - once in a while, an artiste can make a song about sex . . . it's one of the issues of our everyday lives so why not?? But when an artiste is predominantly known for lewd lyrics and raunchy vids, it becomes an issue for concern . . . such artistes have nutin to offer and use 'em dirty vids to make up for their inadequacies . . .

And what's with folks who keep using Fela to make cheap excuses?? Keep his revered name outta ya sleazy mouths abeg . . . when I think of Fela, the first thang that pops up in my mind are the strong political themes in his music . . . for every "Na Poi", there are 10 socio-political songs from the icon such as "Shuffering and Smiling", "Sorrow Tears and Blood", "Original Suffer Head", "No Agreement", "Authority Stealing", "Water No Get Enemy", "Army Arrangement", "Palava", "Zombie", and "Teacher Don't Teach Me Nonsense" . . . need I flood this space with socially conscious stuff from Femi Kuti??

On the other hand Nelly would have looked mad if he did a song titled "Tip Drill" with no broads tip-drilling or Terry G singing "Gbon Gbon Gbon" and no one was shaking

Cars are an expression of style heck its even a bait these days to get girls so incorporating nude chics in car ads are not as off the mark as you think

I think human beings are an hypocritical bunch!! There is a reason prostitution is the oldest profession in the world so all this hue and cry about artistes with lewd lyrics is an exercise in futility if you ask me. Are you Theo's PR manager? even when he is shoddy you see nothing wrong in him. He was okay yesterday while Arshavin was pants I had nothing to comment about on his game yesterday cos he wasn't excellent neither was he brilliant, but what Arshavin did yesterday is what you might call a typical Theo performance apart from Arshavin adding his usual laziness to it. If Arshavin continues like this he might be getting the Adebayor treatment very soon, patience is short at the emirates at present.
I am not his PR manager but i get irked when you single him out for criticism every damn time even when its clear there are a lot of sub-par players at Arsenal. Mr Diaby had a stinker but as usual Duduspace was conspicuously mute on that. I am sure if it where Theo that gifted Liverpool that opener you would have JF.Killed him on this thread

duduspace:
And I have not called Wilshere a messiah but it is instructive that his manager was confident enough to play him at Anfield yesterday while keeping Theo on the bench, that is a testament to his ability, was Arsene ever confident enough to start Theo at Anfield at Jack's age?
Judging from the last 5 trophyless seasons its hard to say this manager knows what he is doing! He was part and parcel of the shambolic midfield that could not dominate proceedings in the middle luckily Wenger spotted that

How many of these moments of brilliance do we get? 1 in every 10 matches? and how do those make up for all the moves that have broken down? there is no player I don't point out what I perceive to be their faults and I also point out improvements when I see it. I always knock Vela for his unseriousness and would always put Song ahead of Denilson until he bulks up, Rosicky who is one of my favorite players has had a horrendous pre-season and needs to sharpen up, you hear more about Theo from me because every game he plays now exposes him more.
At 21 and with all the game time Theo has had he should be close to what he will be now. CR9 at 18/19 had poor decision making but could at least dribble past his man most of the time even though he tended to overdo it, Theo is all over the place when he receives the ball, even before he decides what to do with it he would have lost the ball.
How about both games against Barca last season?? He brought us back in the game in the first leg and provided the opener in the 2nd leg but thanks to the i.mb.eciles we had at the back we couldn't hold a lead for 5 mins! an akpasusu like Diaby also had a chance to pass to Walcott and probably get us a 2nd goal but his pentium 1/2
brain was too slow to process that but trust Dudu to miss out on that. Whether one in ten games or one in a million games the moments of brilliance Walcott has provided is more than Diaby and Denilson combined would ever bring to the Emirates and it is this lack of moments of brilliance that has left us in this trophyless state no thanks to the average Joe's that Franco-Ijebu has assembled. Theo Walcott is no Ronaldo what part of this don't you understand?? heck how many Ronaldo's do we have on the planet today? How many English players can dribble past their man convincingly? Guy wetin u dey yarn sef?

duduspace:
Would you in all fairness claim that Theo has been performing at the top stage consistentlyhuh as far as I'm concerned they are all developing players with Theo being given more opportunity so far in the first team. I am happy that will be changing very soon, people like JET and Wilshere are better footballers IMO.
You are really having a laugh! At Arsenal FC only two players have been performing consistently for the past 3 seasons at least Cesc and Sagna you can add RVP to that least when he is not crocked

duduspace:
I don't even need to see the stats to know this, have you watched all our pre-season games?
Then your view remains a biased one. Women Lie. Men Lie. Numbers Don't. Besides the entire team has been below par

duduspace:
This is a good line of thought, but I would want those times to be few and far in between. It is also worth considering the fact that the presence of players like Theo in the team hinders our playing pattern, just maybe that is why he is a good impact player and not a starter.
Man U and Chelsea have over the past 5 seasons shown us that its going to take more than just our kpanda version of possession footie to win in England. The Kingdom of the Premiership suffereth violence and the violent taketh by force so whether you like it or not we are going to need to resort to such measures more often than you would like. Barca showed us last season that we are doing a poor job of imitating them

Abeg free the guy jor! Was he responsible for the 5 goals we leaked??

duduspace:
Look at all those instance you've mentioned, only one thing stands out, a moment of brilliance or in Theo's case exploitation of a unique ability (pace). The difference between Theo and Arshavin is ability, if anything Theo is actually a more committed player than Arshavin can ever be. Theo was brought in to do something similar to what Arshavin does (accelerate the game), only thing is Arshavin can still pass and shield the ball and even when disinterested will not make our game totally disjointed.
A moment of brilliance?? What else do you need to win football games? Moments of stupidity from the likes of Almunia or Diaby's own-goals? He has the pace and hence what he needs is to work on his decision-making and at 21 there is loads of time for that. The average English man is not skillful so if you where expecting Maradonic moves from Theo then sorry to disappoint you. When he creates chances and other players waste it i don't see you condemn them but na Theo you go just dey attack

duduspace:
The ineptitude of Diaby and Denilson did not lead to Fabianski's gaffe or Silvestre's inability to contain Drogba, if you look at possesion stats we still had better possesion than Chelsea in that match and lost to Drogba's physicality. If you ask me, one of the reasons why we lost was because guys like Theo and Adebayor did not help the MF translate possesion into danger for the opposition.
I would be on Denilson's neck if you can convince me that Frimpong or Eastmond would do a better job than Denilson which you can't do but I'm almost certain that any of Wilshere, JET and Lansbury would be a better player than Theo in any position you need him to be on the pitch. Infact you can add both Sunu and Barazite to that list.
Walcott was the best Arsenal player on the pitch that day!! I think the more we argue the more your prejudice for the lad shines through He put us in front and created a glorious chance for Van Persie's and but for his wastefulness we woulda been through to the final. Whereas Denilson & Diaby where killing us with their indecision on the ball and their inability to do a decent job in the middle against Ballack, Lampard and the other compadres. When Wilshere,JET and Lansbury start performing at the top stage consistently then your comparisons would make sense

Frimpong and Eastmond?? Hmmm i sorry for Arsenal this season embarassed embarassed

duduspace:
I did not focus on that match alone, Theo has had enough opportunities with more game time even than even the likes of Diaby (prior to last season), Arshavin may not look interested in every match but I repeat, he will not give the ball to the opponent or run into blind alleys even when playing against Dag and Red.
How much game time has Walcott had? All his seasons have been marred by injuries at one point or another so what are you on. Do you have any accurate stats on who gives balls away the most at Arsenal or how did you deduce that? Lets see stats maynne

duduspace:
Now this is the true source of our disagreement and to be honest it is a puzzle to me and one of the main reasons I think Theo might no longer have a place in the first team. The likes of Arshavin and Nasri can turn a game on its head with a moment of magical skill or pace and they do this without sacrificing the basic pass and move ethic of the team, if all we are keeping Theo around for is to make the odd run that leads to a goal, where does that leave the rest of the team? is that how to to build a team that plays total football? keeping in mind that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
Anyway, I'm eagerly waiting for the completion of Wellington Silva's move in January, that would be the final nail in Theo's coffin cos that chap would be another Arshavin in the squad and I trust Arsene to do the right thing with Theo once we get this English player agitation off our backs.
Walcott would play even if we signed Maradona. There would be times we would need more than just pass and move to break down teams and Walcott is still the best option we have in that team at the moment

Keep crucifying Walcott and don't advice stingy Wenger to get legit defenders and goalies

@A-40

You miss the point completely, a good player is a good player at the least 80% of the time. My pointing out the Sturm Graz game was because Theo played in the same match and did nothing, it doesn't really matter who Theo is playing against once he doesn't get balls played in behind the full backs he is a liability on the pitch, all those guys I've mentioned will regularly beat their man and put in good balls into the box. You make it like I hate on Theo but I don't, I just call it like I see it. I want the boy to succeed as much as you do and actually credit his effort but if he aint got it by now, I seriously doubt he ever will.

Diaby might have had a screw loose in  the past but you always knew he had the skill and technique but was only tactically deficient and that seems to have come with game time, Denilson is class but only needs to buff up physically and shake off his back complaint, Bendtner has all the physical tools he needs but needs to work on his touch and marksmanship and stop being arrogant , have you so soon forgotten his purple patch where he scored 9 goals in 11 matches and kept us going for a while towards the tail end of last season? Put any of those guys you mentioned with the young ones in the squad and you'll see that they are a class above them. If you need convincing, go and watch our match against Olympiacos away in the UCL last season where Song, Ramsey and Theo were the senior players, the other two were so assured on the ball and had great games but not Theo, his presence on the pitch that day in my opinion hindered the likes of Wilshere who sort of deferred to him as the senior player in the squad and kept giving him the ball. That same young squad took Wigan apart in the Carling cup the previous season  with Jay Simpson and Vela as the strikers.

Theo is only good if he can exploit his pace and that is why he is a good impact player, for a team that plays possession football like we do, he is a liability most of the time. His flaws might not show up much if he is played as a striker through the middle but I wouldn't hold my breadth that he is going to be exceptional there.
Are you kidding me so his non-performance in a meaningless pre-season friendly is your barometer of judgement?? No wonder Arsenal fans now rejoice at Emirates Cup victories. Who played the ball behind the full-back when Theo setup brilliant assists against Liverpool in the UCL and PL what of the one he did against Blackburn? Since you love to nit-pick lets nit-pick together

Where you not there when the ineptitude of Denilson and Diaby cost us the midfield and essentially the game against Chelsea in the 08/09 F.A semis? When have those guys put up any decent performance against top 4 opposition?

Denilson is class?? Hahaha and i'm Rick James! with his 1 million sideways passes per game? When a player creates 7 chances for you in a game and you squander everyone of em then you have a long way to go! Any player can have a purple patch at any point Bendtner still has work to do.

The way you keep paying attention to irrelevance just to rubbish Theo makes me wonder! for the umpteenth time you are referring to a match we didnt even need to draw to win the group. What would it have mattered if Theo scored a hat-trick? Would we have skipped the first knockout round on the back of that? The squad took apart Wigan and couldn't even beat Burnley with Bendtner missing chance after chance so what point are you trying to prove?

Would it be such a bad thing if we play to the lad's strength from time to time since our possession footie has been exposed time and time again for its deficiencies. He is still our most direct player on the flank and we sure could use his pace for the sweet counter-attacking footie we where good at back in the days

hehehe. . . . classic 40 boi. . . .

I need concrete reasons why Walcott should be rated higher than David Odonkor though! tongue grin
Odonkor has been crap from day 1 now haba!! Cats keep saying Theo can't dribble and i ask how many English players can dribble? How many dribblers do we even have at Arsenal? Theo's passes are better never mind his off the ball movements. What he needs to work on is his decision making which is a common ailment amongst pacy players especially technically deficient english ones. e.g Wright-Phillips,Lennon

You sorta knew Shaq would not want to retire knowing Kobe had one or maybe even two more rings than he did especially not after the "last week Kobe couldn't do it without me freestyle" Kobe still has a 100% chance of getting to another final cos barring any unforeseen circumstances i still feel the Lakers are too strong for the West unlike the East where Shaq has a 33.3% chance with the Celts lets see how it goes though

Sloan was even an ex-Bull so its all love but really you guys don't have any excuse not to push for that 4th spot in the East you guys made some nice moves in the free agent market

@Jalether

I have always said Walcott is extremely useless,he cant dribble all he got his pace.I would take a skillfull player over an Ikedia like player any day any time.

@A-40 Baba

Where u dey since ?? Thankfully we are on the same page,Arsenal won't win nada this season FACT !!!! Unless we buy a new GK as well as a Tall,Strong CB,IMO we also need a back up DM incase Frimpong does not come thru as usual Denilson will have a back problem and be out for weeks.
Oga mi i gentle ooh i been dey busy, was a bit ill and i was also expecting a baby (i just dey joke)

Lol i knew Wenger had lost it for a while but this close-season has to be the height! Peeps would say "well he fought tooth and nail to keep Fabregas" who cares what have we won for the past seasons that he has been here? Frankly i won't be suprised if he doesn't buy anyone again afterall Almunia did well at the Emirates Cup he also brought Nordtveit back from loan and has toyed with the idea of playing Song at CB so i would actually be suprised if he bought someone. I just hope he has the decency to actually leave if Arsenal do not win anything this season
