The Federal government has time without numbers said that Boko Haram/Islamic States of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have been technically defeated but Nigerian Army has loss soldiers in the recent face off with the insurgents. Although the Nigerian Army has recorded a huge success in the fight against the insurgents in Nigeria particularly in Northeastern part of the country, it has also loss many of it soldiers. They were said to have been in existence since 2009 during the late president, Umaru Musa Yaradua's administration. Boko Haram broke into two: the old Boko Haram and the Islamic States of West Africa Province (ISWAP) following disagreement between it fighters who were attacking both civilians and the military and the other lunching attacks on the military only. Nigerian Army in recent attacks on the Islamic sects said, most of the key members of the sects have been killed and have been defeated technically. Furthermore, the Chadians Army recorded a huge success in fighting Boko Haram after they lunched attacked on them, killed more than 1000 of it fighters in retaliation for killing it soldiers in an ambush on March 23.

The Nigerian police Inspector-General, M.A Adamu has flagged-off a community sentization campaign and palliative support program against covid19 at the Force Headquarters on Tuesday, May 19, in Abuja. This was made known in a series of tweets via the force verified twitter handle on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. According to the tweet the IGP has appointed a one of the female commissioner of Police, CP (Dr) Aisha Abubakar to help coordinate other female police officers to carry out the task. The team would also carry out sensitization and enlightenment campaign on the prevention of covid19 pandemic. It would also engage in the distribution of palliatives and relief materials including food items, beverages and other essentials to families of junior police officers and the to the populace, in the FCT. The tweets read: "The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has flagged-off a Community Sensitization Campaign and Palliative Support Program against COVID-19 on Tuesday, 19th May, 2020, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. "To drive this initiative, the IGP has appointed a Commissioner of Police, CP (Dr) Aisha Abubakar who is presently the most senior female police officer in the Force to coordinate other female police officers in accomplishing this noble task. "CP (Dr) Aisha Abubakar is the Commissioner of Police in-charge of the Force Animal Branch. A veterinary doctor par excellence, she holds a PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology and presently, the President of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria. "She also holds a UNESCO award for Women in Science and a National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM). "The Team shall carry out sensitization and enlightenment campaigns on the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic. It would also engage in the distribution of palliatives and relief materials including food items, beverages and other essentials to families of junior police officers and the civil populace. In the FCT, the Team will be visiting Kurduma, Galadimawa, Keti, Kabusa, Garki and Deidei areas as part of the flag-off. Boko Haram/Islamic States of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in recent attacks in burn down Hospital And District Head’s Palace In Dapchi During Attack On Community. Dapchi is the place in Borno north-Eastern part of Nigeria that gained global attention when the sects abducted about 110 school girls February 19, 2018, from their dormitory at Government Girls Science and Technical College. Before then the insurgent have been kicking attack on the community, abduct many people and separate many families in disarray. About two days ago the insurgents carried out another deadly attack on the community again, burn down Hospital and District Head’s Palace in Dapchi. A female food vendor(35) Identified as Evelyn Namulondo shot by police officer for flouting all-night curfew from a patrol vehicle has succumbed to the gunshot wounds. The victim who was said to have been shot in Jinja Central market in Uganda, died on Friday morning, May 15, at Jinja regional referral hospital where she was receiving treatment in an emergency ward. According to a doctor at the hospital Evelyn died on the early hours of Wednesday, May 13, due to multiple organ failure. “We did our best and cleaned her intestines but discovered that the bullet was stuck in the liver, leaving it shattered which endangered other essential body organs,” doctor said. In other to check the spread of coronavirus, President Yoweri Museveni, imposed curwef which was to be run from 7:00 pm to 6:30 am. Evelyn was said to have been heading to Amber court market from her home around 5am to buy fruits when she was shot in the abdomen, on Wednesday. Before her death, she narrated what happened, she said, she was travelling with another passenger along Kyabazinga Way, when police intercept them and asked the motorist to stop but he refused, this prompt the police to open fire on them. “We begged the bodaboda man to stop but he refused, which I think angered the policemen to shoot at us. I fell after sustaining injuries. The motorist sped off with the other passenger and all I recall is that the police officers dumped me here [hospital],” Evelyn lammented. According to the deceased's sister Agatha Musekwa, Evenly died because she was not give proper medical attention after being shot. Kiira Region police spokesperson, Abby Ngako, says detectives are yet to ascertain the deceased’s true shooters as their preliminary investigations have confirmed that none of their own was responsible for the shooting. He, however, declined to divulge further details, saying they are liaising with other sister agencies to find the deceased’s killers. Health Minister, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, said he is unaware of the location of the 15 Chinese medical doctors who recently came to Nigeria to help in the fight of Covid19. The minister who made this known during the daily Covid19 Presidential Task Force briefing on Thursday May 14, said not all the visitors announced earlier were medics and have something to do with medical profession. Recall that on the 8th of April, Chinese medical team arrived Nigeria with medical supplies to provide advise to the Nigeria Government on the fight against Covid19. However, Ehanire explained that the 15 Chinese were Engineers from China Civil engineering Construction Company and not guest of Federal Government of Nigeria. “I think not all of them were doctors and I heard that some of them are technicians, but they are staff of CCECC. “The Ministry of Health is not their host, so we can’t always explain what happened to them or where they are. There seems to be a lot of interest in these doctors. But they are the staff of the company and I think that they are on a company visa. “But we have been able to learn some things from them by interacting with them from their experience in their country and they did tell us and we shared ideas on what they did in their country in managing COVID-19": he said. No fewer than 471 people have died in Yobe state in the last five weeks, but the state Taskforce on COVID-19, says it has no connection with corona virus disease. According to report by Channel Television, over 400 people have been buried across 5 Local Government Area of the state, but the state government insited that, it has no connection with corona virus. Many residents have however, expressed corncern as to what could be the cause of this high number of deaths. Gravediggers across major town on Wednesday May 13, said the figures were above 600 for Damaturu, Potiskum, Nguru, and Gashua. However, Yobe state government confirmed that 471 people have died in the last five weeks but argued that corona virus is not the cause. The state commissioner for health and nd vice-chairman state COVID-19 response team Dr. Muhammad Lawan Gana said during state press briefing that 95% of those that died show no symptoms of corona virus disease. According to Gana, 57% were aged between 50 years and above, while 58.5% were male. He added that the trend showed an increase in mortality. The commissioner said: “96% had no travel history outside the state. A 40-year-old man identified as Uchenna Egbuchulem has been arrested by the Imo state police command for allegedly impregnating his 17-year-old biological daughter, after forcefully making canal knowledge of her. Uchenna Egbuchulem who hails from Nduhu Alaenyi Ogwa in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state, was arrested on Tuseday, May 12, after the operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters, Mbaitol recieved a report from a good Samaritan. According to the Nation's report, police spokesman said the victim, 17-year-old, Adaku Egbuchulem was an infant when her father separated from her mother. A source said the mother of the girl was an Ivorian who was said to have left the marriage and returned to her country when the girl was an infant. After then the girl's father has been making canal knowledge of her forcefully, threatening to kill her with a cutlass if she refuse.
