All I have to do is come test drive it for whole day, then by night I'll tell u I'm no longer interested in buying. The next day I will bring my friend kingreign make him sef come test drive for whole day. The 3rd day it will be Gazzuzz and so on.

If u are a car dealer will u allow everyone that comes to inspect to let the engine run for 2 hours? Be honest with urself. If Mr A let's car run for 2 hours and later decided not to buy, then Mr B,C,D,E,F come and do the same. That is a whole 12 hours wasted testing a car. Guy dey reason with ur brain.

Oga, no car seller will allow u to run his engine for 2 hours. What is N1,000? And at the end u might end up not even buying the car after the 2 hours running.? If u are a serious buyer u won't ask for that.

I thought this guy use to brag so much about this car on cartalk. Hmm chucky, if what the op posted is really that ur Benz, then u Bleep up and worse than a kazeem. This car looks like something they use in selling bread lol. Tattered interior, no airbag, and what's that in the ashtray and gear lever? Abs cannibalized, no battery. Where is the maintenance culture? And the way that car was advertised as if everything was perfect. Na Toyota u sabi yab, common c class no gree u maintain but u will be the first to discourage anyone from buying a Toyota.

before you get excited about any used car,
1. scan it
2.run the engine for atleast 2 hours,
3. have the hardware professionally looked at.
4. use whatever error you discover as a bargaining tool


CHUCKY234 is not as bad as we are painting him to be. the customer basically failed himself which is a shame.

And who in his rightful sense would let u run his car for 2 whole hours before paying (or not paying)

MTN texts are composed by humans just like u. Not saying it is right for an organisation like MTN to make grammatical error in their texts, but whatever.

Bros how much do u think a naija used 2002 MB C240 is worth? If u ask me 730k is a fair price, if not too much. This is a 13 yr old Mercedes, those luxury cars lose their values faster with time because they have too many features and with age those features will fail. A 2001 camry still has better second hand value than a 2002 MB C240. Go ask car dealers.

Are u sure u know what ubare saying? A 2015 kiaoptima vs 2015 Toyota Camry. First the KIA has better design while the Camry design is not so appealing ( 2007-2011 Camry design looks better). Optima also have a sport like dash which is sleek.

Performance while the optima still whips the Camry. 192hp (optima) vs 178hp (Camry ) for the regular i4. And then 274hp for the 2.0T (optima) vs 268hp for the 3.5L v6 (Camry). The only thing still keeping Camry in the game is the past record they set for reliability.

Madt ride. The price though. Anyway happy sales.

Fuel efficiency: terrible especially in the city, a bit fair for traveling but still bad. Average mpg when new is 16/23. For a 14 yr old chances are u won't even get close to that mpg. And I'm talking about the 3.0L v6. U don't wanna go near the v8 if u care about fuel efficiency.

Durability: Not durable. It is a good car no doubt, but not advisable if it is ur ONLY car. If u have another car then u can use this to supplement.

Spare availability: depends on ur location. If ubare not in Lagos it might be difficult getting parts.

Spare costs: higher than ur average Toyota and Honda of the same year.

Overall: good car to enjoy when it works. But not good for an only car, gas guzzler in city and traffic driving.

A few miles up the road just before Redeem church was a traffic nightmare of godly proportions with people driving cars like they were on a suscide mission.

My question to these two chaps or you is who do you guys navigate through traffic like that? Do they throw you a bone and let you pass or you just have to rough it through?

When I used to ride in the late 70s and early 80s the traffic wasn't as disastrous as it is now.

I've tried as much as possible to understand u but I just can't. Are u trying to say it is wrong to ride a bike on a highway, or it is dangerous to ride a bike through traffic?

In as much as we both don't know what actually happened, it doesn't take away the fact that some Nigerians in Malaysia are animals. I've lived there and I know what I'm saying. Some have this belief that Malaysian woman like Africans (which is true to some extent) and that they are just shy. They believe with a little pressure those women would succumb to their advances. I know 2 guys that have touched a woman's booty when alone in an elevator. I know another that has kissed a woman he doesn't know in an elevator, though they later became lovers. What was his story? That they were alone in the elevator, they started talking and the woman was smiling at him. Well it worked for him, but might not work for someone else.

The thing is not every woman is like that, some won't take it lightly. Nobody can rape anyone in an elevator, but when u touch a woman's sensitive parts in an elevator, it would be regarded as rape attempt.

How do you gain trust when you make a phone with MTK 67xx and price it 70k, when Xiaomi, a much bigger brand, offered their Redmi note 2, with a smoky helio x10 processor at 45k (import costs included), and with updates to Android marshmallow guaranteed?

Take a look at the tecno phantom 5, remove the tecno Brand and put Sony, then I bet that phone would sell for nothing less than 90k if not more .I mean it's got almost everything a flagship phone has. 3gb ram, 1080p, fingerprint scanner, good build quality. If they want Qhd it is as easy as buying Sony or LG screen like apple does. If they want better camera they can as well use Sony lens just like Google did with nexus 6p. They can bump up the processor if they want. All these things cost money. At the end the phone will be priced above 100k Naira and currently tecno doesn't have the customers to pay for that. It doesn't mean they can't build it, but as a businessman, would u invest in something where u will lose money?

Sometimes latest doesn't mean better, though it still falls back to personal preference. A 2006 Lexus rx330 is still far better than a 2011 honda crv. Mind u, that Avalon is more or less a Lexus with toyota badge.

Tecno isn't supposed to even make expensive devices, they are to be affordable. Which tecno user is ready to buy at 90K device. The Phantom is still causing customers to unlearn and learn.

Nobody ever thought Samsung will make phones worth 180k (galaxy s6 edge). Or that Sony would make phones like xperia z4.(they wre known for making TV and DVD) It's all about gradually building ur brand. Samsung took the risk with the galaxy s series and they have never looked back. Tecno is not yet a worldwide brand and that is the only reason they haven't built a high end too of the line phone. Just take a look at xiaomi now.

I didn't call LG tecno. I don't use tecno, as a matter of fact I use an LG. But it doesn't mean tecno can't build this kind of phone, the problem is if they do they won't sell. They don't have the customers that will shell top dollars for this kind of phone just yet.

That is where u are wrong. Tecno can build a phone like galaxy s6. The problem is would there be a market for it? 3 year ago, if someone told u tecno would build a phone like phantom 5 I'm sure u won't believe. 5 years ago nobody would believe LG would build a phone like this, they are not known for making phones.

In business, u have to be strategic, u can't invest in something huge when u are not sure of the market. Tecno decided to target the low end market, doesn't mean they can't build a big phone, but the problem is if they do, people will rather buy a Samsung or LG or HTC high end phones especially when the tecno is priced close to them. But don't worry, tecno are gradually getting there, give them about a year or 2 and u will start seeing tecno phones sold for 100k plus. Shebi they started with 10k phones, now they have 70k phones. They only need to gain the trust of their customers.

I will give u an example. Have u seen the new kia optima? That car kicks the shiit out of a 2015 camry and some even say it better than a 2015 honda accord. But if someone told u 5 years ago that kia would build a car like that would u believe?

It's costs money to build a phone with 4gb of ram, it costs money to build a phone with Qhd display, 2 screens, 16mp camera, snapdragon 808, build material, etc. And the name LG alone is additional $100. But if tecno builds the exact same phone will u buy for even 120k? Be honest.

Going by ur comment, looks like u won't buy it for 120k, so why do u still compare it with phantom 5?

If tecno built this phone and put the price at 140k u will be the first to cry fire and complain. This is a $700 phone, in Nigeria that would be about 150k. U all cried fire when tecno announced phantom 5 for just 70k.
